Chicken momo and Rogan Josh. - A dining table with an empty plate, a fork, and a knife, along with bowls of curry and rice, in a restaurant setting.
Mewelau H.

Very happy. Very content. Chicken momo and Rogan Josh. Good spice/heat to the Rogan Josh. I'll make sure to go here every time I schedule services at Massage Envy.

Mild Indian food - fit and easy to try for rookie food explore. Anyway, overall is still tastes good. The highlight is about service, very polite and professional. Price is a little bit more expensive than others because it makes from organic products. Location in downtown Silver Spring- no free parking spot near the restaurant - but there are a few meters parking around and garages are available.

Cocktail - A pink cocktail with foam on top is served in a cactus-shaped glass on a table at a restaurant.

My partner and I had a good time here. I used to live in Pittsburgh and we had a ton of amazing Nepali restaurants. This restaurant was very different from what I was used to in Pittsburgh but was still very tasty. The rice desert that was a part of the thali was TO DIE FOR! Everything else was well spiced too. The server was nice and the ambiance was clean. I will be happy to come back or order take out.

Veggi combo

Wow I'm impressed! I actually was on my way to another restaurant and the owner came out and spoke to us and invited us in. The food smelled good so we sat down. I ordered the veggie combo and it was delicious! I can be picky about Ethiopian because I only really like one spot in MD but this really met my standard! Everything was traditional from the decor, the dishes they used and even the music. I was grateful for the outstanding customer service and would love to come back

Really Nice environment and food. Wonderful Services and lots of Indian and Ethiopean food options

Aloo Tama, delightful - A close-up of a bowl containing lentil and potato curry with a piece of naan bread, garnished with herbs.

What a wonderful introduction to Aloo Tama, with rice a garlic naan. Loved the sour bamboo shoots with the black eyed peas & potatoes.

Ethiopian cuisine featuring injera bread, beef stew, vegetable sides, and spices served on a colorful tray.

Loved the food here! The service was amazing and the staff was so great with helping out with our food selections. Can't wait to return and try even more of the amazing ethnic foods here!

I have enjoyed this restaurant for years. They are always super polite and friendly there. From the moment you walk through the doors they are welcoming you, to the time you leave and they thank you for your business. Being seated is always quick and they accommodate you if you prefer another table in another area ( for whatever reason). The food is very tasty and doesn't take extremely long to come out. They are very attentive and always make sure your glass stays full. The atmosphere is quiet and intimate with a candlelight vibe. Best little hidden secret! If you like Indian you should check it out.

This is not a Pakistani or Indian kabob place. This is Ethiopian / Nepali place. Not recommended for real kabob lovers.

Cielo Rojo - Come to mama, chicken tinga tostada!

Really understand why this place is so popular! Came here with some friends and had a lovely…read moreexperience. We were sat right away and I was surprised at how big the restaurant is (way bigger than it looks from the outside!). I started with a hibiscus margarita, which was delicious. Then we ordered a few things to split, including: guac and tostadas, charred cabbage, gorditas with chorizo, aguachile negro, and the beef short rib platter. The charred cabbage was the biggest sleeper hit. It was so flavorful and unlike anything I've ever had before. Everything else was delicious, although the aguachile was probably my least favorite of what we tried. We finished with the rose water tres leches and the dulce de leche crepes. The tres leches were pretty good but the crepes were amazing. I don't usually love dulce de leche, but it was definitely a standout.

If you are planning to visit during popular dining hours, it might be worth it to make a reservation. We arrived during a weekend around 5:30 pm, and the place was somewhat empty. However, by 6-6:15 pm, the place was PACKED. I was a very surprised (in a good way) that the menu was a bit smaller compared to other Mexican/Tex-Mex restaurants in the area. I necessarily do not think the smaller menu is a bad thing because, with a smaller menu, a restaurant can focus on preparing everything well (i.e., it's easier to do a good job with 20-item menu versus a 50+-item menu). For my dining pleasure, I went with the enchiladas suizas with a few margaritas. Overall, I thought my plate was very delicious; however, other diners at my table and I noticed that the portion sizes were a bit small for the price. Perhaps, the restaurant uses higher quality ingredients for its dishes. Although the margarita sizes might appear to be small, they definitely are not "small" in power/punch, so the $13-$18 price range is appropriate. My favorite margarita of the night definitely was the El Jardinero, which was a wonderful mix of carrot, cilantro, peach, lime and a semi-spicy pepper of sorts. Collectively, we all thought the service was exceptional because our waitress constantly visited the table. Personally, I thought it was a bit overkill, but that's a very, very minor complaint based on my very, very personal preference.

We strolled the beautiful and quaint neighbourhood for a little, until we found Olive Lounge!! After taking a glance at their HH menu -- our decision was easy, the food and drink options were just what we were looking forward to!! I can happily report that the food was DELICIOUS & truly represented what you would want from a Middle Eastern restaurant. I was ecstatic to have their grilled halloumi & their beef and chicken kabob with kidreh and tzatziki was 10/10!!! The aromatic seasonings and flavours with the kabobs were divine, and perfectly complimented the kidreh (spiced rice, garlic, chick peas). My husband had the Takoma Burger which was equally fantastic - and only $10 with a side of fries on Tuesday!! We will definitely be back to explore their HH and dinner menus more!!! This restaurant is definitely worth a visit (or several)!!

I knew it was going to be busy on a Saturday night, so I wanted to place my order in advance to minimize wait time but the website was not accepting orders at the time. So I drove down and took my chances, knowing I would have to wait. And honestly, even though it was packed, it took a total of 30 minutes from walking into the building before I had my burrito in hand. They were processing orders from UberEats, DoorDash, you name it, and also processing the dine-in and other take out orders. I waited by the bar with my Arnold Palmer (so refreshing) just watching the sheer magnitude of kitchen orders they were processing. Now for the most important part - the burrito! I went with a classic, the chicken super burrito. It was fantastic!! The guacamole was fresh, it was the perfect amount cheesy and moist from the cheese and sour cream, the chicken was tender, the rice and beans were flavorful, and the tortilla was perfectly warm and tasty holding it all together. I also loved the salsa verde on the side, it was punchy and so delicious. I had have had so many meh burritos in the DC area and this one truly stands out and is so good, even if it is double the price of those others. It is also a HUGE portion so you at least are getting a good bang for your buck. I definitely need to go again for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and try the entire menu, and all of the coffee drinks - I had my eye on the horchata latte but not with my dinner. I literally can't stop thinking about how good it was and I cannot wait to go back.
