The most Slept on in Nepal style spot in DC . Whole in the wall type vibes but clean and presentable enough to casually dine in . Even the kitchen looked clean and organized . The register greeter was cool and patient as I navigated the menu ( first timer ) . The wait time was reasonable as well 10-15 minutes tops . I've eaten here 3 times already and each time I go the food taste better than before . I got the Jhol Momo / C Momo ( both are flavorful ) with the C Momo being my favorite . The best Momos I've tasted in the city thus far . I'm going back to try other vegetarian options on the menu ( plant based eater ) Jhol Momo 7.5 /10 ( be sure to stir the soup before eating , to get all the flavors moving through the soup ) C Momo 10/10 savory , Slightly sweet , with a strong kick of spice ( 4 /5 spice level , creeps up on you will burn your lips and make your nose run for sure ) * to my knowledge all the chefs are from Nepal which means we get the authentic taste of their culture.

Surrounded by small restaurants from around the world, Moh Moh Licious stands out with excellent food from a Nepalese chef. The small shop is known for their dumplings, but don't sleep on there biryani. The chicken one comes out hot with the perfect blend of spices, well cooked chicken, and a yogurt sauce on the side. For just under $20, it was big and very filling. There are a few tables inside and an area with cold water in jugs. It hit the spot!

Charming little place with great food, friendly staff, and excellent service. I ordered the pork momos and achari lamb. Taste wise they were excellent, but the serving of the Achari Lamb was too small for the price in my opinion. Food also didn't come with any veggies, which is a miss in terms of a balanced meal for me. If you want to eat in, keep in mind the dining area is super tiny (3 tables with max seating for 8 ppl total). If you are relying on Google to help guide you to the restaurant, be sure to note the entrance to the restaurant is on Georgia Avenue itself. I followed Google maps, which led me to behind the restaurant and discovered there was no rear entrance and so had to double back. Be sure not to make the same mistake I did!

Eating the food here was almost like a religious experience. You walk from the cold streets of DC and open up to a vibrantly colored shop with not a lot of tables. Just enough to dine a large group and maybe a few duos. But I would argue you would stand hunched over just to eat a Beef Momo. The blend of flavors, spices, creaminess is wonderful. It's also served like piping hot and biting into a hot, fully packed, and fresh Momo may be one of the best things I've ever done for myself. I'm so glad I walked into this place. It is honest when it says it's spicy! You know it's authentic to someone's personal recipe because we found ourselves picking whole cloves and cardamom pods out from the Lamb Biryani. You order at the window after looking at a written menu that has the charming elements of being hand drawn later on. They even keep magazine clippings of all their awards. More must come! More must come!

Delicious food. We ordered 8 dishes. Two momo, daal, butter chicken, veg chow mein, chicken biryani, okra, and achari lamb + tandoori roti. Half the dishes came with rice. Everything was excellent. Especially liked the C momo, chicken biryani, and tandoori roti. Ambiance is not fancy and quite small. Pretty quick service; they weren't busy when we arrived but seemed to have increased pickup business. Not sure we need to eat in again; it's not a bad atmosphere and is fast... but is a great carry-out spot.

Their Moh Mohs were delicious. I had the chicken variety with tamarind chutney. They were made fresh. It took a few minutes and when they came they were steaming hot. The wrapper was perfect. Slightly thicker than normal and held the filling well. Went on a Sunday morning and street parking outside the restaurant on Georgia ave was free. Otherwise it's a 2hr paid parking. The place is good for take out but had a few tables if you want to dine in.

I ordered beef moh moh with the sesame tomate sauce and it was delicious. The delivery was on time and the presentation was nice. I also had the Tamarind lemonade. It was a bit sweet for my tastebuds but the flavor was definitely there. I would order both again and plan to stop by in person during the warmer months.

My first ever order from Moh Moh was on a food delivery app. I had a crazy craving for chicken biryani so I ordered that and had to get some momos since that's the name of the restaurant. The serving of biryani was massive! It was enough for literally three meals. The spices were just right and it was so tasty. I thought the momos would just be like regular dumplings but they were fat, filled with goodness and in a decadent sauce. Those could have been a meal in their own. The price is right, the servings are huge and the food is delicious. Try this spot!

Would like to give it 3.5 stars but that's not an option. We think it's worth another visit-- small, friendly space, walls mostly covered with menus/boba menus and a few small tables. Chicken momo had a little spice kick, but the dough is a bit heavy and dumplings so uniform they seem almost commercial? The chole/chickpeas and the saag were our favorites. Owner recommended chow mein (now that's a first) but we decided to try that next time. The menu feels almost too big-- maybe focus on fewer items done a with a little more care?

Divine! The Shrimp Curry and Pork Mo Mo Dumplings with Red Spicy Tangy Sauce are such a treat! I also tried the Chicken Curry, Samosa Chat and Garlic Naan. You can tell everything is made from scratch. If it was this good delivered, I can only imagine how good the food is in person. You have a forever customer in me!

Hidden place with Nepali food. It's almost like a literal hole in the wall how small this is. Moh Moh Licious specializes in the dumplings from Nepal. Fast and good. The place doesn't have seating so it's only takeout. Good for a fast bite. If you're in a serious hurry you can call ahead but this still won't even help that much. The food is basically takeout. Come in and order at the counter. They specialize in moh mohs. If you haven't heard if these, they're basically dumplings. These get filled with meats or vegetables. It's about $6 for 6which is enough for an appetizer. This comes with a choice of a sauce. It can be hard to get to from outside the area. Some busses go by it. This is closest to the Takoma Metro station.

I was so excited to finally try this place out! I ordered the C Momos with beef and the chili potatoes as an appetizer. So much spice!! I'm usually in the mild - moderate range when it comes to spicy food, but figured I'd try it out. It was definitely above moderate...but I could see someone who likes extra spicy foods this may be just right or possibly too mild. Ordered through Grubhub for delivery- came fast and the order was good. I noticed that Uber/Door Dash didn't have all the menu items Grubhub did - if you want spicy things but aren't able to do carry out, then I'd suggest using them. Was craving Nepali momos for the longest time and wasn't sure where I can get some here in DC. After a quick Yelp search I found this place and thankfully they are available through UberEats for delivery so I ordered some right away. These are sooo delicious. I got the Jhol Momo and the C Momo both with chicken. I wish it weren't so expensive through these food delivery services but next time I do want to drop by the actual restaurant to try the food out! We got some food for carry out and it was SO good!!! Very spicy so beware, but honestly worth it. My favorite was definitely the C MoMo, and I will definitely be coming back for it. The place doesn't look like much on the inside but the food makes up for that, since it was sooo good. The jhol mo mo tasted very fresh. We also got the lamb vindaloo and were pleased with it, but the lamb was a bit more on the chewier side and we wish we were given more rice. But honestly, these were tiny complaints and not worth taking off a star for. I would highly recommend this place! read more

Amazingly delicious! Probably the best food I've eaten in the last few months. We tried a mix of all the Momo dumplings in the red sauce (sorry, I forget the name of the sauce). The dumplings themselves were delicious and paired with the sauce was like nothing I've had before. We then tried the beef chow mein and I loved the curry flavors that blended with Chinese flavors you usually expect with chow mein. Lastly we had the goat curry. Flavors were so good. We ordered take out and 30 min later, when we started eating the food was still piping hot. Impressive. All of this was topped off with a frozen blended chai tea. Yum! I have a feeling I'll be back here a lot more in the future. Or they're also available for delivery through several of the food delivery apps. read more

We came to moh moh licious with my mother-in-law. We were hungry and driving by and literally stopped to see what they had and I'm glad we did. I got the goat curry and MIL got the lentil soup. It was pretty good, very flavorful, and VERY fast. The only drawback is that the space is tiny and it's really only bar seating but we had no issue with seating since it was just us. The folks were friendly and made us feel welcomed. I think it might have been closing soon so I appreciate that they still fed us and didn't tell us it was too late! I haven't gone back in a few years but would go back again if in the neighborhood or just to do some take out! read more

I can't believe I haven't done a review for here yet. I'd ordered my first moh moh's here when they initially opened and enjoyed trying something new but oh how time flies. This particular day I needed to pick up a book at the library nearby so I decided to place an order through the Yelp app. I went meat-free with my moh moh's along with a couple of orders of samosas, minding leftovers. I also decided to try the chai too. Everything with the ordering process went over without an issue. I got the extra chutney I'd requested, my order was completed on time and the chai was amazing, totally worth a visit just for it, especially in this stretch of Georgia Ave. With all of that in mind, I will be back sooner rather than later, ordering enough for leftovers with a chai to drink on my ride home. read more

This place is amazing! The momos are fantastic! The biryani is some of the best I've ever had. Can't wait to try more things. Food is piping hot and super fresh. Service is great as well. I came here with my family, including two 7 year olds, yesterday (a Sunday) for lunch and we could not have been happier with the quality and deliciousness of the food and the speed of service. Anyone who has kids know that they can be picky and they want food *now* which can make eating at a restaurant difficult. MohMoh removed that stress. The restaurant itself is small and unpretentious (e.g., the food is served in to go containers regardless of whether you eat in or not), but it packs a punch in terms of flavor and value. We ordered the veggie dumplings (with tamarind sauce), channa masala, naan, chicken biryani, and mango lassi Everything arrived in about 10 minutes (amazing!) and was delicious, with the channa masala potentially stealing the show. The kids destroyed the channa masala, some of the dumplings (warning! tamarind sauce is sweet but slightly spicy for young kids), the naan, and the mango lassi. My spouse really enjoyed the chicken biryani and the veggies dumplings are probably the best ones I've had. The portions were generous -- we still had leftovers despite eating our fill at the restaurant. Overall, a really good experience that left each of us happy, full, and super satisfied. read more

As a Nepali person who regularly makes momo at home, this place has some of the best momo in the DMV! We ordered the pork momo with spicy sauce and it was amazing. The problem with a lot of other places is that the wrapper isn't that good. Here the wrapper has a nice chew and keeps all the meat and oil in nicely. We also tried the chicken chili. Not super spicy but it has a nice kick and good flavor. Goes well with rice, so I would order that on the side. read more

We got takeout here and they only had the beef momos left on a weekend afternoon. I The beef momo skin tore when removing it from the take out container. The momo skin was good and the beef texture reminded me of kofta kebab. I loved the spicy sauce you can choose. It was my first time having the Thukpa soup. It reminded me of a blend of sweet and sour soup with the tomato base of a Chef Boyardee soup. Plus noodles. It wasn't my favorite. We got the lamb masala as well. It was a lot of rice, mimimal salad, and a few pieces of lamb. It was OK. The best part of the experience was the pleasant man behind the counter taking our order. Only limited bar seating is available. The takeout took 10 minutes when we were the only ones in the store so perhaps they had to make something from scratch. read more

The Moh Moh's are out of this world! I don't love everything else on their menu, I think it's all food best gotten from Chinese or Indian restaurants, but the Moh Moh's are BEYOND AMAZING. Great food & consistent - for the moh mohs we like the spicy tomato sauce, and lamb & pork are both winners. Also love the rest of the food - biryani is very good, as are the curries. We usually get delivery but the few times we've done takeout the restaurant always has multiple people waiting for orders; glad they're doing well and we will continue to work our way through the menu! read more

I visited this restaurant for the first time last week after having heard great things about it from others in the area. Guess what? The hype is real! It's a quaint, non-descript establishment with awesome, reasonably priced food. I had the veggie dumplings and okra masala. I'm salivating as I write this review because the spices were a complex, yet perfect mix of sweet and savory. Folks nervous about the heat/spiciness that's common with many Indian foods need not worry. Sorry for not taking pics; the aroma drew me in before I could remember to snap some. This place is a hidden treasure. I heard about this place from a tik tok complimenting on how authentic the food was, so I decided to check it out. Suuuuch delicious momo. I found out about this place because of their food truck and decided to check out the shop. The guys I usually see working are super polite and have good service. The dumplings are the tiniest bit spicy, but I'm a person who usually can't handle spicy and they're fine for me. The sauces are so good too! read more

Ordered from the food truck. Had the goat masala with okra and biryana rice. BEWARE: they put nuts in their food and have no labels or notices on the menu stating that food contains allergens. I had an allergic reaction and was ill for the rest of the day after eating here. When I asked if there were nuts in the food they said no until I showed them the cashews in my food. They then told me that I should have known to ask. read more

Please note: this review is based off Yelp delivery order. I was excited to try momos after having my first taste of these dumplings (and sauce, super important) in Omaha, NE of all places. Unfortunately, the pork momos I got were kind of cold (see disclaimer above) and the filling was rather hard - tasty, but hard. That's what she sa--NOPE, let's not go there brain. The red sauce was great with the momos and it made me want to go back and eat more momos in the restaurant rather than thru delivery. Be warned, the heat on that red sauce builds. I wish Yelp gave me the option to mix sauces - alternating between the spicy red and the sweet tamarind would have been GREAT. OH. And get the hot chai spicy latte. Just trust me. Soon, Moh Moh. Hole-in-the-wall joint that is clean as a whistle! I had the thukpa noodle soup, the chicken curry rice bowl to go and a half order of lamb curry to go. They don't typically do half orders but the guy manning the place was willing to let me try. Don't let the prices listed on yelp deceive you-- my chicken bowl turned it to be 10$ and the noodle soup $7.50, instead of the 14.99 and 9.50$ stated. I've never had Nepalese food before, so I'm no expert, but the curries are phenomenal! The chickpeas are tender but don't disintegrate, the chicken was tender and in decent-sized cubes, and the lamb.. wow. For 10$, it's definitely a steal. The soup noodles were interesting-- Chinese-style yellow noodles in a slightly sourish soup that has a hint of garam Marsala. The heavier ground cumin sinks to the bottom and so you really taste it towards the end. Dude was super sweet too-- he was making a mango smoothie for another customer and had some extra left in the blender so he offered it to me. It's small touches like that that make me treasure small eateries, and reminds me of the warmth and generosity of asian cultures. Street parking was plentiful and easy. I highly encourage you to check this place out! And also give the review by the person who is actually Nepalese more weight. read more

yum! My recommendations -- with my fellow vegetarians in mind -- veggie dumplings and chana masala. But the thing you can't skip... the mango lassi. Amazing. Friendly service, affordable dumplings. You can mix and match dumpling types within a set, so naturally I decided to try all three fillings, and the guy working the window recommended trying all three sauces as well. Quite full after demolishing ten on my own! I really only ordered a couple veggie ones to feel healthier, but damned if I didn't find that one to my favorite. All the wrappers cooked through, the pork dumplings were fine, but the chicken ones were awkwardly dense. The sesame sauce was a little too sweet for my taste, but that peanut sauce is super addictive. I'm not a fan of buying other people's fried rice or chow mein, so I'll pop by again for a mango lassi and some gobi or paneer. read more

The wait is worth it because the dumplings comes out phenomenal each time. Juices oozes out in each bite- trapping your sauce inside. They offer four different sauces free of charge! Definitely ask for a refill as the sauce containers are small. A small gem with a wide glass window facing the side streets of Georgia Ave, you will not regret eating in. read more

3 and 1/2 Was all ready for tasty traditional momos so was disappointed BUT these are well wrapped and tasty curries veggies inside. So of you don't know Mon or then you'll be set. The tamarind sauce was the fave. Good price for 10. Lamb curry had nice chunks of lamb and no gristle.good side of chickpeas! Amazing Nepalese spot! Tried the chicken tikka masala (5/5) lamb biriani (5/5), and paneer saag (4/5). I was especially impressed with how well the chicken was cooked in the tikka masala! So tender and not over cooked. New favorite place - will make this part of my regular rotation! read more

This place is hidden away on Georgia Ave and deserves to be better known. I'd never had momos before. It's a totally unique dumpling flavor. Also got the lamb curry, which was delicious and probably two meals for the average person. The food's quick, so it's easy in and out. read more

Wondered upon this food truck in dupont circle and decided I should have some chicken dumplings. Their menu is limited but all sounded pretty solid. I got 6 chicken dumplings for 5$ and asked for them to go ahead and put all of their sauces on it. they didn't tell me what they were but by the taste of it, it was an Indian curry sauce (orange), cilantro sauce(green), and a Sriracha style sauce (red). The dumplings were hot and tender with a substantial filling. The sauces were all great tasting, I think I liked the green and red sauces mixed together- the curry based sauce wasn't exactly what I was in the mood for but it would be good on a day I'm craving that taste. The dish was also 5$ which I thought was fairly priced.
