I was craving sushi after having the munchies and Red Maple did not disappoint. Food 10/10. Atmosphere 10/10. Service 10/10. Would definitely return and recommend to anyone who likes good sushi.

Shoutout to our local community heroes! Lots of love to Sandy and the crew! This is a beautiful venue. Lots of take out orders, but I was glad that they also had dine in. The staff is friendly and attentive. Hot tea on a cool day was perfect. I had the 3 roll combo and I was excited to try the salt and pepper shrimp. I did not wait very long for my delicious salad and it is my favorite dressing! So fresh and yummy. And the sushi came out right after I finished my salad. Beautiful and perfect! The textures were so well balanced. The shrimp was delicious.. Smokey and spicy! Large portion! I have been to both locations and they are both good. The other location has a full bar, so I almost like this atmosphere better since I was dining alone. It was less intimidating to me. My preference when focusing on my yummmy eats!

I know where I'll be for lunch during my summer vacation.

I'm definitely a fan of Red Maple! The former Chinese restaurant that was in this spot for the 20+ years I've lived here was A-Ok, but this place is a keeper (I hope). We were going to dine in but, there was no one else dining at the time, and they don't have a beer and wine license yet. Their Four Corners location does. The basil eggplant ($9) was so flavorful. It wasn't overlooked and mushy. The drunken noodles with shrimp ($9.95) were equally tasty. The portion is a bit small though. It's one of my go- to dishes when pad sew ew isn't available. We also had California rolls, East rolls, and their shumai appetizer. The rolls were good. I'd order them again during their lunch special hours (M-Sat 11:00-3:00). I didn't like the shumai. I asked if they were shrimp. The guy said yes, but I think they may have been a shrimp and pork combo. I'm happy to welcome Red Maple into my neighborhood. I look forward to many more meals from here.

    Mango Sticky Rice

I'm a huge fan of mango sticky rice and got some here. The rice was really, really off for this particular dish. Either it was the wrong kind of rice or not enough coconut milk or something but it was unpleasant to eat. I think you can see in the picture how the texture is.

    Look at this goodnesss!!

YOU GUYS If you're ever in silver spring area, this is my go-to spot for the best take out sushi! The service and the quality of the food is ON POINT!! I can't get over how fresh and tasty the sushi is after every bite. Not only do they have sushi, they offer other authentic Chinese foods from the kitchen. Price is reasonable too! Definitely recommend this place to anyone! And also, don't leave this place without ordering their yummy Thai ice tea on the side.

    Chicken dumplings

I like the whole concept of Asian fusion so I had to give this place a try ;-) My friend and I got chicken dumplings, crispy rock shrimp, and 2 sushi rolls (california roll & shrimp tempura roll) that came with miso soup. The chicken dumplings were okay, they were not actually minced chicken but whole pieces that lacked flavor. The crispy rock shrimp was amazing! It had this tangy sauce and battered shrimp that was tasty and filling. Plus it was a huge portion for only $6.50! The cali sushi roll was good, but a little small compared to the other sushi I've had. The shrimp tempura roll was not good, there was a measly piece of shrimp covered in rice which overpowered everything else. The miso soup was kinda nasty, but then again I have yet to find a place that serves good miso soup. Overall, it was an okay experience. Maybe we'll back and try something new!

I didn't find any krab or even the taste of it, but good none the less. I shared another appetizer, inuri ( not sure if spelling), tofu fried in a wrapper and covered in a delicious sweet sauce. I'm not a tofu person, but this dish could change that! DH ordered hot and sour soup and drunken noodles. Not a fan of hot and sour soup but I liked this one! So did DH. He loved his drunken noodles with pork. It had a hint of curry and was a little spicy. He ordered a sweet tea and said it was really, really sweet. Diner #2 ordered miso soup and teriyaki chicken. She loved the soup and I got to taste her chicken. It came kind of fajita style on a sizzling platter with red and green peppers, broccoli and a little bit of onion with a generous portion of chicken breast sliced on top with a good sauce and sesame seeds. It was accompanied by white rice. Large enough portion that she has lunch for tomorrow! Diner #3 ordered an eel roll and a few pieces of fat salmon sashimi. She said it was all good. I ordered pad Thai with shrimp. Several large shrimp were delicious and the noodles were very good. I ordered it as mild as possible and there was not a hint of 'hot' spice although it was physically really hot, which I love. I think next time I'd ask for a little heat in it. As I'm writing this I realize I could have asked for some chili oil or something to spice it but I enjoyed it very much. The server was terrific and a few people made sure our drinks were refilled. I definitely am looking forward to my next visit here. There are lots of things I want to try!

Even without a reservation, I was seated immediately, which was a great first impression. The service was excellent. Our server mentioned it was her first day, but you would never have guessed as she was attentive, warm, and handled everything beautifully. The food truly stood out. The sushi was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. The hibachi experience was just as enjoyable. The chef was entertaining, skilled, and added a fun, engaging touch to the meal. The restaurant itself is clean, inviting, and has a great atmosphere that makes you want to stay and enjoy your time. I think that the customer service was excellent and the chef had charisma, personality, and should do stand up, he was a pleasure and a joy such a guy with rizz. My issue was the food itself as the rice was amazing but did not age well being taken back home for take out, and the chicken and salmon were not as flavorful as a homemade version I would had cooked so there was the blandness. I ended up having digestive issues and got sick for a day or two after eating from here which was disappointing, because the vibe is awesome in this spot and the positive energy is contagious. I felt so relaxed and joyous here. I think the food can be cooked better even though they are generous with excellent portion sizes. I think it is a strong contender for one of the best restaurants in the region if they step the food preparation up. I also did not like this sauce they provided, but it does have better customer service than the typical DMV spots which tend to struggle with the customer service, so they get an A with that making you feel welcomed and respected and not strictly transactional experience, very warm, nice, attentive, diligent, and hard working staff, so they have the bones here, so once they step up the actual food prep and quality then they will be 4 to 5 stars easily. That is all I got!

It took a few minutes for someone to come to the register but I wasn't in a rush so I waited quietly. The kitchen looked very clean and well organized.
