We have been familiar with the area for years, as my father-in-law lived 3 minutes away, and recently we realized this was his go-to carryout. After 3 visits, I can say it's one of the best in the DMV, thanks to its flavor and food choices. You will find Japanese options like sushi, American-Chinese dishes like orange chicken, similar dishes, and Cantonese food like roast duck, Hong Kong-style noodle soups, and whole fish. They are family-owned and operated. Every time we come, the elder father is always gracious and provides excellent service. The restaurant is always quiet; you can hear conversations in the back, and as customers arrive to pick up their orders, we haven't witnessed any negative interactions. Customers are always happy with their food, and the staff say thank you. The only negative is the space. The building itself is older and outdated. In the summer, it is hot, and now in the winter, there is no heat. They have found ways to make it work, like space heaters on each table, but it can still get uncomfortable if you are dining in. The back area near the bathroom and the bathroom itself need a thorough cleaning. To me, it's a turnoff; it doesn't affect the food, but it does affect the dine-in experience. Again, overall, I love their food and believe it's a local gem worth a try.

The soup was extremely salty and the sushi looked and tasted worse than what you'd get at a grocery store. I guess the only silver lining is we didn't get sick from the small amount of food we did eat. It's very surprising to me that this place is still open. It's also very unfortunate that we don't have even a single halfway decent Chinese restaurant in the area. Panda Express is leaps and bounds above this place.

Whether you are dining in or taking out, you get some delightful banchan (kimchi, etc.). They put it in nice little plastic ramekins in your to go bag. It's been a while, but I remember it being pretty quiet when I dined in for their japchae noodles and fried chicken, and both were fantastic. Flavor all around and just so tasty. More recently, I got their chicken bulgogi over rice and loved it. I took it across the street to my favorite distillery and was eating it with chopsticks casually, but I guess I was enjoying it too much because the chopsticks broke XD. I ordered pad Thai with shrimp. Several large shrimp were delicious and the noodles were very good. I ordered it as mild as possible and there was not a hint of 'hot' spice although it was physically really hot, which I love. I think next time I'd ask for a little heat in it.
