I was craving sushi after having the munchies and Red Maple did not disappoint. Food 10/10. Atmosphere 10/10. Service 10/10. Would definitely return and recommend to anyone who likes good sushi.

Shoutout to our local community heroes! Lots of love to Sandy and the crew! This is a beautiful venue. Lots of take out orders, but I was glad that they also had dine in. The staff is friendly and attentive. Hot tea on a cool day was perfect. I had the 3 roll combo and I was excited to try the salt and pepper shrimp. I did not wait very long for my delicious salad and it is my favorite dressing! So fresh and yummy. And the sushi came out right after I finished my salad. Beautiful and perfect! The textures were so well balanced. The shrimp was delicious.. Smokey and spicy! Large portion! I have been to both locations and they are both good. The other location has a full bar, so I almost like this atmosphere better since I was dining alone. It was less intimidating to me. My preference when focusing on my yummmy eats!

    Mango Sticky Rice

I'm a huge fan of mango sticky rice and got some here. The rice was really, really off for this particular dish. Either it was the wrong kind of rice or not enough coconut milk or something but it was unpleasant to eat. I think you can see in the picture how the texture is.

I know where I'll be for lunch during my summer vacation.

I'm definitely a fan of Red Maple! The former Chinese restaurant that was in this spot for the 20+ years I've lived here was A-Ok, but this place is a keeper (I hope). We were going to dine in but, there was no one else dining at the time, and they don't have a beer and wine license yet. Their Four Corners location does. The basil eggplant ($9) was so flavorful. It wasn't overlooked and mushy. The drunken noodles with shrimp ($9.95) were equally tasty. The portion is a bit small though. It's one of my go- to dishes when pad sew ew isn't available. We also had California rolls, East rolls, and their shumai appetizer. The rolls were good. I'd order them again during their lunch special hours (M-Sat 11:00-3:00). I didn't like the shumai. I asked if they were shrimp. The guy said yes, but I think they may have been a shrimp and pork combo. I'm happy to welcome Red Maple into my neighborhood. I look forward to many more meals from here.

    Look at this goodnesss!!

YOU GUYS If you're ever in silver spring area, this is my go-to spot for the best take out sushi! The service and the quality of the food is ON POINT!! I can't get over how fresh and tasty the sushi is after every bite. Not only do they have sushi, they offer other authentic Chinese foods from the kitchen. Price is reasonable too! Definitely recommend this place to anyone! And also, don't leave this place without ordering their yummy Thai ice tea on the side.

    Chicken dumplings

I like the whole concept of Asian fusion so I had to give this place a try ;-) My friend and I got chicken dumplings, crispy rock shrimp, and 2 sushi rolls (california roll & shrimp tempura roll) that came with miso soup. The chicken dumplings were okay, they were not actually minced chicken but whole pieces that lacked flavor. The crispy rock shrimp was amazing! It had this tangy sauce and battered shrimp that was tasty and filling. Plus it was a huge portion for only $6.50! The cali sushi roll was good, but a little small compared to the other sushi I've had. The shrimp tempura roll was not good, there was a measly piece of shrimp covered in rice which overpowered everything else. The miso soup was kinda nasty, but then again I have yet to find a place that serves good miso soup. Overall, it was an okay experience. Maybe we'll back and try something new!

Excellent sushi for silver spring, great menu. Didn't care for how they prepare the octopus but otherwise great.

None of us were from this area, and we intended to go to the Mayflower Chinese Restaurant, based on Yelp reviews. However, once we walked in the door, it was apparent this place was focused on carryout, and there was no way we were staying to eat in their dingy entrance area. We walked next door to the Meleket Ethiopian restaurant. However, the place was deserted, and we didn't stay there either. We tried the Lime & Cilantro, the next place down, but it was packed and couldn't handle our group. So, we skipped past the verernary clinic and went to Spring Garden. And, what a great choice that was. They offer a huge menu of Chinese, Thai, and Japanese meals. Everything is reasonably priced. Once we got our food, we were impressed with the quality and portion sizes. And, through it all, the service was prompt and friendly. I ordered Hot and Sour soup (my bellwether for Chinese restaurants) and beef chow fun. The soup was flavorful without being overpowering, and the chow fun was delicious too. I liked everything so much that I ordered another soup and Thai Basil with Chicken to go, and that's been my lunch for the past couple of days. Don't be put off by the seediness of its location. Spring Garden is a great place to grab some tasty, reasonably priced food, either to eat in or take away.

Even without a reservation, I was seated immediately, which was a great first impression. The service was excellent. Our server mentioned it was her first day, but you would never have guessed as she was attentive, warm, and handled everything beautifully. The food truly stood out. The sushi was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with high-quality ingredients. The hibachi experience was just as enjoyable. The chef was entertaining, skilled, and added a fun, engaging touch to the meal. The restaurant itself is clean, inviting, and has a great atmosphere that makes you want to stay and enjoy your time. I'll definitely be returning and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great sushi or hibachi experience.

We ordered a party boat that was about $81 which is more than reasonable. Finished almost all of it. I also had my 2 piece roe selection since that's my personal favorite. Service was nice. It took a few minutes for someone to come to the register but I wasn't in a rush so I waited quietly. The kitchen looked very clean and well organized. The floors were clean (no sticky shoes noises here) and that's always a good sign in my book. I was told it would be about 10 minutes. I ordered the chicken hibachi and 2 vegetable spring rolls. I didn't check out the restrooms but they are available for customers. I don't blame the establishment but I wrongly assumed the fried rice would be Japanese style. When I got back to work and saw the rice...I understood why he asked if I wanted yum yum sauce. It was definitely catered to DMV carry out standards. While we waited we asked questions about the food on the hot bar and the lady that was tending to that didn't understand a single word of English and I struggle translating Spanish words in the correct order to make a sentence. LoL! I know the words but can't put them in the right order so there was a language barrier happening here. LoL! Some of the food on the hot bar looked like it had been sitting for quite some time under the lamp and it looked very dried out. I ordered the beef teriyaki, my husband ordered the chicken / beef / shrimp teriyaki, and our daughter had the chicken teriyaki. We ordered extra Yum Yum sauce to go with it. I didn't taste everyone else's this time because I was hyper focused on mine. The Beef Teriyaki was bland. There was no flavor until I dipped the beef in the Yum Yum Sauce. I asked for steam white rice and I received fried rice. Long review short, I didn't eat this because I'm going to have to add some seasonings from home to hype it up for it to be good. My husband on the other hand enjoyed his dish because of the shrimp. Our daughter ate a big portion of hers. She didn't say whether or not she liked it. 2.5 Stars.
