Build your own salad
Madison P.

Quick, fresh, and yummy salads, but the price is a little steep for the portion sizes and limits on toppings. I think they have a good range of ingredients and nice combos in the premade salads. I wish they would allow for more toppings on build your own bowls though. Sometimes I find they undercook the rice too, so it's really hard on the teeth.

Great Costumer service but what i appreciate the most is the freshness and quality. I must say that I am currently in love with the green juice is the best friend to my bowl.

Buffalo Chicken Salad

I didn't have time to cook dinner before work so I stopped at Sweet Green since it was around the corner. You can never go wrong with Sweet Green. They have fresh local ingredients and awesome combinations in the salads. I purchased the Buffalo Chicken Salad. It was a kale caesar with grilled chix, blue cheese crumbles, croutons, carrots, and buffalo sauce. The associate tossed everything for me. I ate it in the establishment. It was nice and clean. Every bite I could taste all the ingredients. It was a nice healthy option, not too heavy and only 436 cal. The price was reasonable $13. Thank you Sweet Green for being something healthy on the go.

Must use app to place order. Its grab and go.

I'll say that it took me a while to fall in love with Sweetgreens the way I was in love with CHOPT. But now that I have Im forever a fan. I won't lie the salads can be pretty expensive but is so worth it. More importantly its a healthier choice than many of thr fast casual options out there. I love many of the seasonal salads. My all time favorite is the Peaches and Burratta which generally comes out in mid to late summer. I also like the Buffalo Chicken. At this location during COVID-19 I have found it to be difficult at times to order. The online site wasn't working properly for me and Ubereats makes it a little different to customize your salad. But if you go in and talk to the team they will accommodate you.

Hummus tahina salad

I'm not keen on eating my fruits and vegetables, but Sweetgreen makes it easy. Their salads are delicious, always fresh, and locally-sourced. My favorite is the warm harvest bowl which comes with tasty organic wild rice, shredded kale, apples, sweet potatoes, roasted chicken, and goat cheese, but the herb falafel in the hummus tahina bowl really impressed me! They mix the falafel right into the salad - dressing and all - and I thought the falafel would get soggy quickly, but it still had a good crunchy texture and was packed with flavor. I'll definitely get their falafel again. They have build your own options and I can't get enough of their Parmesan crisps (made in-house). I'm also a fan of their lime cilantro jalapeño vinaigrette. Regardless of which salad I order, I like how they ask how much dressing you want. I tend to ask for dressing on the side because I hate overdressed salads, but Sweetgreen gets it right. All of the employees that have made my salads do so expertly - they know which ingredients go in each signature bowl and make the salads with ease. Maybe they have a cheat sheet behind the counter - who knows - but it doesn't show. The salads average between $11-$13, but you're paying for quality. If you download and pay with the app, you can rack up points and earn rewards. This place is cashless, as is the Sweetgreen way, which is fine with me because who carries cash anyways? The only reason they get four stars instead of five is because they're almost always out of bread when I come here for dinner (and it's not like it's right before closing time). Out of the multiple times I've been here, I think I've gotten bread once. Carbs, please! But other than that, keep doing what you're doing, Sweetgreen!

Tofu plate

Awesome place for hot and cold salads. It can be pricey but it's worth it. They started making plates. I got the tofu plate and enjoyed it. As mentioned it was a bit pricey. Maybe I was just hungry would I wouldn't have minded a bit more sweet potato or tofu. It was still delicious and I'd get it again.

Miso Chicken Bowl!...Two Thumbs Up!!

Awesome lunch/dinner spot if you wanna mix-in some clean eating to your weekly routine......or if you're direly feeling the need to quiet that naughty inner-symptomatic "id/ego" voice....suggesting that you to drive to KFC or Popeye's for lunch instead! Sweetgreen is an amazing place, with their own unique spin on clean and healthy eating. The concept of local sourcing the produce, meats and seasonal vegetables is the big plus and seller about Sweetgreen. My visit at this location today was right on par with the others around the DMV. "Bottom Line: Fresh food, consistent and great customer service." There are a plethora of toppings from all kinds of seasonal vegetables, cheeses, proteins like tuna/chicken/shrimp and more......as well as all types of nuts, natural fruit and berries to keep your salad world, vegetarian/vegan monotony and healthy eating journey exciting. If you are like me....barely hanging on to your New Year's resolutions to eat better, maybe shed a few pounds and/or need food choices that meet the nutrient needs of fad diets of any kind.....from Paleo to Atkins, South Beach, the Dolce Diet and beyond....this place got you covered! My "go-to" salad is the: ** Kale Caesar -- shredded kale + chopped romaine, tomatoes, shaved parmesan crisp, roasted chicken, fresh lime squeeze, and killer Caesar dressing!....All in a bowl that is barley 400+ calories and definitely filling --close to 2 servings. This salad does it for me every time! Today, I tried a new menu item called the Miso Chicken Salad Bowl. It was outstanding! ** Miso Chicken --organic kale + organic spinach, quinoa, carrots, shredded red cabbage, root vegetables, roasted chicken & spicy miso dressing. Definitely, two thumbs up! I am still working on experimenting with other salads and grains....as to I am like a picky, stubborn kid when it comes to eating all my vegetables! Overall 5 Stars!.....A great concept and spin on eating your greens. The food is local farm sourced, high-quality and the customer service is very friendly! You can tell that high standards and quality drives this place first and foremost when it comes to the produce and preparing their goods. As for their Prices ($$).....Ummmm!!??....Honestly, let's just say....I'm still adjusting to it. It is still something I kind of snarl at (with the stink-face).....when it comes to paying $8-$12 bucks during lunch for a salad and we haven't even added a drink or side yet?! LOL. But, Hey! You can't put a price on your health and eating good. You get what you pay for at Sweetgreen...literally!! And, that is quality food and a good "euphoric" feeling that you are doing something right for yourself. #HealthIs WealthPeople!

chimichurri chicken without the, um, chicken.
Mike S.

I've been looking forward to having Sweetgreen for a couple of months and finally had it tonight, but it wasn't a great experience. I will preface this by saying I ordered off Uber Eats, but my issues were not their fault. From ordering to the food at our door, it was only about 20 minutes. I ordered the chimichurri chicken, which comes with black beans, pickled carrots, cauliflower rice, roasted sweet potatoes and some toppings. A great deal for only around $12...except they forgot the chicken! I noticed immediately, but by the time I had it in front of me it was too late to do much about it (they are giving us a $10 voucher). The sides were fine, nothing special. I mistakenly thought all of the food would be warm, but that was not the case. Cold black beans with lukewarm sweet potatoes. Perhaps that was by design, but it was not what I was expecting. My wife ordered the harvest bowl, dubbed a warm bowl. She said the only thing warm was the rice -- not even the chicken, and again the sweet potatoes. Not much positive to say unfortunately. It looked pretty I suppose. The chimichurri sauce was good, especially on the rice.

Harvest bowl with steel head instead of chicken
Linda V.

Needed something on the lighter said but also filling as well. Went online to see what could offer me a healthy dish with also a variety of options, I ordered a salad bowl and everything was just fine except the fact that the steelhead was a little fishy (smell & taste) still edible none the less. The portion sizes are great I just wish to eat healthier it didn't cost more unlike to eat junk it wouldn't even cost close to what I paid for this salad. Either way not bad

Here are some hits and misses: Corn hummus: fresh flavors, interesting combo with the sweet corn and spicy chili oil. Nice fusion dish. Wish it came with tortilla chips rather than potato chips Corn ravioli: wonderful flavor bomb. Sweet corn, slightly spicy chili oil, creamy cheese. Delightful with some rose. Roasted chicken: my husband said it was "very good". Chicken isn't dry, and it is flavorful. Rice and beans were excellent without overpowering the main attraction. Chocolate tart: lovely dark chocolate filling works well with the honey crust. Ice cream cools the warm tart down but the Oreo crumbs get drowned out. Still a really good choice for dessert. Unassuming exterior but a spacious interior. Hubby said it was warm but I thought it was nice inside. They have some outdoor seating if that's your jam. There are some interesting dishes on the menu that we both look forward to trying on our next trip.

My photo doesn't do justice to how much chicken was on the salad, which was a lot. The salad was delicious. I ordered the blue cheese dressing and the barbecue sauce on the side.
