4 because I haven't visited this place in several years and I do not know the currently quality of service and food. The last time I came here, it was dark out and I opted for the drive thru and I usually do. I ordered orange chicken, possibly with rice, and certainly with a soda. I ate a few pieces of chicken before find one that had a hair embedded into the breading, not stuck in the sauce, and most definitely not mine. I had either blonde or brightly colored hair at the time and this was either black or dark brown in the light. That was the end of Panda Express for me. In the years previous to this incident, both food and service were phenomenal and the restaurant was always clean. I just had 1 bad experience but it's enough to make me stop. I worked at taco bell at the time, it's not very hard to keep hair out of food, but I do understand that accidents happen and I haven't personally heard of it happening again to anyone I know. Moved here a few years ago and have tried this location a few times and if I could give 0 stars I would... always have the lobby closed even during dine and donates to help their community, rude workers, small portion sizes compared to other locations, never really consistent on flavors of the foods, employee informed me they were out of a certain item and if I would like to choose another item... we'll my husband likes what he likes so I was hesitant and thought he might like an item that is considered premium item, she wouldn't void the added charges even though it was an inconvenience for me then got an attitude acting like it was my fault... I drove away... there's no reason why I should have to pay more if that's not the item I came there for. Hopefully corporate comes in and fixes this location and trains their employees on how to treat customers. read more

Some of the reviews here seem harsh, we haven't had a single issue in the multiple times we've been here. Staff is friendly and talkative. Food is as expected for Panda Express. The place is clean. Drive thru is easy and quick, first time I've had drive thru panda nearby! It's way easier when I'm commuting to and from work. I can never understand why people get mad about staff talking to each other. The employment crowd is mostly low 20's, and the economy is unkind. I rather my food be cooked by people who are talking to each other and HAPPY than be cold quiet and mad. Morale matters. As long as my order didn't get messed up I could really care less if they chat. Anyone specific who's been mentioned are name tags I haven't seen yet, so I can't say if those people even work there anymore. Overall, customers don't need to be pricks either. Maybe it's because this place is next to Walmart. That could explain the sour crowd. Be nice, and they'll be nice back. read more

Then I look at my order (mushroom chicken) was kind of shocked after digging through with my fingers to find four peanut (shelled) size chicken parts. But I figure they were running out of that also? We had to throw most of the food away because of how gross it was. The Mandarin chicken was undercooked and full of fat. It was chewy due to it being undercooked. The Shanghai steak was a mush and literally only had 2 pieces of steak. It was a brown mush and was inedible. They also weren't open to go inside and order so you couldn't see the food and how bad the quality was. We never eat here and this was the first and last. The owners should be ashamed for who they've hired and not keeping up with noticing how bad this food is. I hope nobody else makes the same mistake and eats here. read more

We order food from Panda about every two weeks. Always the same thing. Rice/chow mein, a large walnut shrimp and fortune cookies. We were very disappointed when we arrived home and the shrimp was over cooked, dry with no sauce and shrimp out of its breading. I know they gave us last nites food that did not sell. Never be the first in line when they open. For us to drive back we're looking at 40 minutes round trip. I called and wanted to talk to the manager about our shrimp. He was to busy and said he would call back. 48 hrs and still no call. Since we eat the shrimp on a regular basis we know what it should look and taste look. This did not pass. On such a hot day in August, how could I feel as if I were frozen in space while still feeling my new birth? On the display screen, the blurred images started to form letters. We had dilated pupils, shallow respiration, and a relaxed heart beat after emerging from deep under the planet's surface; we had seen the local water table. Now, the hunger came. Although we had eaten breakfast at one of the dirtiest Best Western's ever, Need for better food was calling. Panda Express was apparently only an hour away from Black Chasm Cavern. Familiar brand name and memories of Walnut Shrimp, Broccoli Beef, Wontons, Spring Rolls, Chow Mein, and ribs, we had a missile-lock and enzymatic processes burned in our stomachs. The pre-digestion chemical processes demanded healthy food. Upon arrival, obvious food sanitation concerns were satisfied, yet, could have been better. Given the circumstances of esurient urgencies, we gave it a Go! Panicked, "Give me some of everything!" I had to calm down. After eating we made a relaxed drive to Reno. No arguing. No more d-d-delirium. Come here on road trips when you need to eat. Nothing outstanding here. But you can get what you expect. I live in Cameron park and went there to grab dinner for my mom and I. Got to her home and the food was over cooked and very dry! Tried to call them to let them know I was going to bring it back and the have no phone. It was to late so I brought the food back with receipt and they would only give me a refund for on if the plates! Will never order from there again it was garbage and the manager was rude! No wonder they have only 1 1/2 stars! Went to this place today one hour before they closed. Right away the black girl had a real ugly attitude ( I guess cause we came one hr before closing?)..we then saw her put some chow mein back from a plate that had already been eaten from!!! I kept asking for fresh chow mein and she made it a big deal saying they were going to close soon and wont be making any more so I had to demand it and she spoke to another girl who was making a big deal about it too, but she finally said they'll be making fresh chow mein just for us. I started eating my food and literally had to spit out the chow mein cause it was disgustingly nasty. So those bummy kids put the fresh chow mein with the nasty old one. Very Poor Service. Visited Placerville location and advised manager (who was waiting on customers) that i would wait for the chow mein and another entree as several pans had only a few tablespoons of food in them. (11:30 A.M. 4 people in the restaurant) The manager advised me that it would 5-7 minutes and she would let me know when my two items were cooked and ready. Therefore I stepped aside. Meanwhile the manager leaves to change employees around as the cook could not keep up with food requests. The cook and cash register attendant now take over filling orders in which they began writing on the to- go- containers. The manager returned to take her position back and began to fill the orders of all the 8 people who were in line after me. I asked her if i could get my order as I was in line 15 minutes prior. She said "Yeah, just a minute" and continued completing the other orders. " When I finally received my food (last), the cashier also checks out everyone before me as well. I advised the cashier of the issue and she said,' well, YOU should have noticed that we were writing on the to-go-boxes. I advised her that I was following the managers instructions and it is the responsibility of the employees to advise every customer of procedures so they are better served. My family and I were traveling from Stockton and to the mountains and went in for lunch. We tried ordering our food in this place. The service wasn't pretty good. I felt like the worker serving in drive thru is giving us a hard time because of their attitude And felt like I am being rushed on ordering. We have no choice to order here since the lobby is closed because of the pandemic. The worker didn't say much when I'm about to order another one. When I went to the other window to get our food, we got our food but we tried to get another order of drinks. The worker there told us we can't order additional. That's disappointing and when you're feeling rushed ordering your food. I don't recommend this place and takes a while to get your food. read more

Ordered a two plate entree with Beijing beef and sweet fire chicken and a side of pot stickers. Was told they were out of pot stickers unless I wanted to wait 3 minutes. Was worth the wait, or so I thought. Paid and they told me to park, then they'd bring my food to me. Cool. Called a friend when I parked and waited. Was on the phone and laughing, totally lost track of time before my friend asked if I was still waiting. Looked at the phone and I had been sitting there for 35 minutes! Walked in and the kid was apologetic and said he totally forgot. Worse, they were cooking (more?!) pot stickers and told me just one more minute. Then I realized they didn't even give me my drink. They raised a brow at me like I was lying and reluctantly gave me a cup. I was already frustrated but this was really starting to piss me off. Watched the clock and it still took them 15 more minutes! Then, when I got home, my entire meal was cold!!! Clearly they had assembled my food and it just sat there for FORTY FIVE PLUS minutes! What kind of moron would not realize this mistake and remake the whole plate?!?! I almost drove back and raised holy hell (and probably should have!) Instead I had to reheat the damn food in my oven and wait even longer. Heads need to roll in there. Whoever is managing this place is as much to blame as the employees. read more

This location used to be entirely adequate, but our recent visit was a nightmare. Drive thru only (understandable with COVID and staffing issues everywhere), out of many dishes, and the food I received was absolutely inedible... straight to the garbage. I just had the most pleasant experience here! We've eaten at quite a few Panda Express restaurants before but this has got to be the best one. Fast friendly service with no hassles! They didn't have a bunch of things out because they were making it fresh! I can appreciate that! We also put in an order to take home for dinner and it was a catering order which they don't do normally unless it's called in I'm assuming. I went and placed my order a large chowmain two large orange chicken they tell me I'll have to wait a couple minutes for the chow Maine which is fine I pay I wait I get my food and go home come to find out once we sit down for dinner both of our orange chicken are tofu so I have to go back to get real chicken. When talking to them they say they gave it to me so I wouldn't have to wait longer which is so stupid I couldn't believe I would rather have to wait then have to waist a whole other trip back to wait longer to get the right prefer they let me keep the tofu and I gave it to my friend who is a vegetarian and as she was eating it there were little pieces of chicken through the whole thing. We went there today after a very long drive, doors are closed without any notice and the employees are just watching so finally one of them open the door and said due to short staff we closed, only drive through, I said can we eat outside under the shed, she said fine, the table outside are a big mess and super dirty. Broccoli beef came with 2 peices of beef, the rice is undercooked, the crispy almond chicken overcooked and the menu as usual is extremely limited. Only a handful of available items, no appetizers. Poor quality food. I think it's a one man band and their is only one person working. This is my second review.. Go to the Chinese across the street if you want real food and great service! Food was okay but the service was terrible. My family went inside to order and we had to ask our server to tone down her attitude. Even after asking her to stop raising her voice at us, she continued. I have worked fast food and retail, so I get that there are bad days but please never raise your voice at guests. Guests should always be top priority and treated with respect as we showed our server. We weren't difficult guests so I'm not sure why we were treated that way. read more
