This place doesn't even deserve one star. I would usually never go here, but I do love Hot Ones and wanted to try one of the new items. Just trying to order at the drive through was a horrible experience. The person "trying" to take the order was very rude, one of us was still trying to decide and she snapped at us, saying "don't talk to me until you have your entire order ready" there was literally nobody else in line. Me and my boy were coming in for a long car ride and we were hungry as hell. We pull up to the building doors are locked. All of them. Then we decided to walk through the drive through ain't nobody pulled up till a couple minutes later saying to go through the front. Door was still locked but eventually someone came and unlocked it then they took our order and the girl was like "where the hell is the water" and then somebody else had to help her. It was the dream team of doom over here I bet nobody did a background search before hiring these mfs here. Then you overhear Dumb, Dumb, and Dumber talking about how they were gon say that the service went down so they get a free 10 minutes for a break. Food was lowk trash too but whatever. I couldn't get home soon enough to write this review or if it will even matter at this establishment considering other reviews I have read. We were dine in at about 8:45pm on 11-29-25 (I'm putting time and date as this will help ownership establish what employees were on shift). So allow me to begin, first while we ordered there was an older lady awaiting her food and another gentleman sitting at a booth with no food. We sat down as we awaited our food. During this time the older lady had got her food and determined her order was wrong. At this time, out loud with customers present the manager (female) and cashier (female) both told the lady she did not order it and that she was wrong, they repeated this many times. This was not, "sorry miss, we gave you what we believe you ordered but let's see what we can do to fix it." It was rude in nature and condescending and completely uncalled for. Agree to disagree, but don't embarrassed the people who keep you in business, which you need this business to keep your job. Additionally, once they decide to make her the breakfast platter she originally wanted we could hear the people in the back (female cook & some other guy) making comments about the lady. So the lady finally gets her food and when she is leaving some guy from the back yelled out "bye" and after she walked out all the employees laughed and talked about how she pissed them off with saying they got her order wrong. I want to point out that at no time did this customer react rude or raise her voice. So fast forward, we get our order and the wife's Sourdough Jack bread is cold. She takes it to the counter and says it's cold, same female cook hears this and says, "well our toasters suck." This is not our problem and again, why is this comment made to your customers? They remake it which was appreciated. Now we have eaten and we are leaving. However, as we are leaving that gentleman who was sitting inside as I mentioned at the beginning and not eating was outside with the same female cook, kissing her and smoking directly in front of the front door, roughly 5' feet away. So now you have an employees smoking in front of the door (California law is 20' from an open door by the way) and kissing her boy friend who was just hanging out in the restaurant for everyone to see. Not to mentioned we had to walk through there cigarette smoke. So this is long but it had to be said. One last thing, the lady they were rude to was eating out in her truck with her husband. I made sure to let her know what was said after she left, she stated they were very rude and she would not be back. I apologized to her, which is crazy because I don't work there but this is how badly I felt for the way she was treated. How you have a manger who condones this behavior and a cook who acts like this in this establishment is beside me! Also, the young cashiers ride came to pick her up while we were still there...he came inside and proceeded to use the F word multiple times out loud. These are your employees business manager (Jack B.) how do you allow this? I'm sure I'll get some automated response like "I hope you give us another chance to make this right in the future." But then again, maybe someone who cares about the business and the folks bringing the business to you will read this and actually care to act! read more

My experience at jack in the box was terrible and the lady that works on the grill is very rude and when I ordered breakfast at like 6 pm she was saying "omg people should just cook at home" and every time I go inside and order food she's always complaining about everything and I don't think someone like her should work there that is very disrespectful and not good service at all. read more

Sigh.... I loved jack in the box, until this one in placerville. The sign says open late... however, I've shown up at 630 and they are closed. I've been the the drive thru for an hour, just to be told at the window they ran out of food. I've been in the drive thru and told they ran out of everything except chicken. They have had longer lists of things they ran out of, then they do things they do have. This location either needs management that cares, or it needs to be torn down and replaced with an IHOP. read more

The employee smoking a cigarette at the front door informed me " it's closed, you have to go through the drive through. With it being the laziest most mismanaged place in town, it makes you wonder why it was closed for so long. Gone way downhill from what it was several years ago. Always out of various food items; e.g. soda, milkshakes, salads, etc. 20 minute long waits in the drive through because dining room is usually closed. Employees can't follow order instructions; e.g. I order a Breakfast Jack with bacon and get a Breakfast Jack with ham and since dining room is closed I'd have to wait 20 minutes in the drive-thru to get the problem corrected. read more

Wish I could give this Placerville location a NEGATIVE 10 rating. WORST Jack in the Box ANYWHERE in CA! They wait until you are stuck in line when getting to the order box to tell you they are out of burrito wraps which has happened THREE TIMES NOW and all they had to do was post a sign at the entry to the narrow drive thru lane so you could leave. When you write a not to JACK on the website, you NEVER get a response, because THEY DO NOT CARE! Management is USELESS. The drive thru employees could care less (ALL 3 times). I am DONE and NEVER returning no matter how much I love Jack items. Thankfully I get to travel to other locations for my Jack "fix" but just not my local one. read more

I do not get why this place has such bad reviews, I went there on a Saturday afternoon and I got really good service. There was a line but I got my food right away which surprised me. Not only that but I tend to be a picky eater but they got my order right with out me having to explain or anything. About that the food was delicious. Today they were closed again during business hours. Every surface inside is greasy or dirty and the staff is rude. They're in no rush so if you go through the drive thru expect to wait at least 15 minutes for your order. Check the bag before you drive away because they continuously get my order wrong.
