Beach hut deli has been on my radar for a while now. While driving towards the kids house we had decided to stop and have a picnic. To do this, we needed food. Beach Hut was close enough so I ordered online for pick up. The menu is huge and everything sounded great. The sandwich was actually very good. When we arrived, I ran in and the girls behind the counter helped me change a few things about our sandwich. No attitude, very friendly beachy young ladies. The inside definitely looks and feels like a beach hut. 3 stars is because the sandwich in my photo while delicious was 20 dollars! I know times are changing and everything is pricey but... 20 dollars for that? I think that is a bit much even if it was actually on the beach.

Worst experience I have ever had at a beach hut. I waited over 45 minutes past the pick up time and the sandwich i got looked like this. This is ridiculous that they would send out a sandwich that looks like this. I never write reviews but this was ridiculous. I hate wasting food but I will not be eating this sandwich absolutely ridiculous.

Anyone see any thing but spinach??? Horrible

Order through door dash and was really disappointed. No one read the order and both salads were not prepared as paid for and ordered. Be aware, if you are going to order the food, know that the people working there don't care what you ask for. Kind of sad really. They did send forks and napkins this time. I feel bad for the trainer and staff... they must not be able to understand menu items. I guess reading is the next training item. Sad reality.

Friendly staff. Great sandwiches. The Marley nachos are huge and so good. Better be hungry if you get these and a sandwich.

Overpriced and strange sandwiches that take a very long time to make. The prices are double sourdough, and the owner comes off as rude.

The online ordering system was not working - it balked at payment - so I phoned them and ordered that way. On the day, we got a pile of plastic bags each labeled with our name, and inside mine I found my hot sandwich, still pretty warm, inside a foil wrapper. Mine was the Italian melt, lots of different kinds of meat plus provolone and a little onion and pepperocini and a mildly spicy marinara sauce lightly dabbed in. It was not too thick but nicely dense, as well as delicious, with a well chosen mix of ingredients. I didn't want too much bread, so I ordered it on marble rye, and that turned out to be fairly thin, not overwhelming, and also strongly and delightfully flavored. I'm not ordinarily big on deli sandwiches - I don't think they have much else - but this was a major find.

Stopped here at around 1:20PM on a Sunday, and it was moderately busy…read more Really friendly staff, family owned (I think) and a good amount of seating inside. There is a bathroom that you must ask for a key to. Once 1:30 rolled around, I was excited to try my sandwich given the great reviews, then came 1:40, then 1:50, and I did not have my sandwich until around 1:55. I worked in a sandwich shop for 3 years, so I know sometimes a wait is unavoidable and can recall dealing with rude customers, so I did not approach the staff regarding the wait. They were trying their best to accommodate the orders. However-- 35 minutes for 2 sandwiches, I think, is a little excessive. In the end, my sandwiches were spectacular, genuinely well crafted, and met (maybe even surpassed) my expectations. When I got back to my car, I noticed the worker (owner?) gave me a full sandwich despite me ordering half. I wasn't sure if this was purposeful as means of saying "our bad", or just a mistake, but I will say it left me in better spirits. If you have some extra time to kill, with friends etc., this is a must try. However, if you are on ANY sort of time restriction, I would not recommend stopping here. I'm sure this is not always the case, but as a stop on a long drive, I did not consider an extra 45 minutes for a sandwich. If the owners are reading this, I truly mean well and hope you know a long wait is a sign of success. Growth is inevitable!

When you enter the store the deli counter is to the left. You begin your order by filling out a small piece of paper which tells the sandwich makers what to put on your sandwich. Once your selections are made place the paper on a small black plate at the end of the counter right next to where you filled out order sheet. I usually go with a turkey, bacon and avocado sandwich with pepper jack for the cheese. They have all of the usual fixings expected at a deli shop. Just circle what you want and wait for them to call your name. What made the sandwich stand out was the generous portion size and the fresh bread. The Dutch crunch actually crunched!!! They have tables and chairs outside to the left of the entrance to sit and eat. The store opened in 1947 and the food was excellent. Will most definitely be back when I am in the town!!

Some food memories stick with you. Not just the "that was good" kind... I'm talking about the kind…read morethat randomly pops into your head weeks later like, "man... those meatballs though." That was exactly what happened after my first visit here. Those meatballs lived rent-free in my brain, so coming back was an easy call. Earlier in the day we took a nice walk around Folsom Lake with some friends. Fresh air, good conversation, and by the time we wrapped up everyone had that universal look of "okay... where are we eating?" As we drove back and passed Dominick's it was one of those moments where the decision basically made itself. I was like yep... this is happening. Pulling up I noticed the line was out the door, which honestly is the Italian restaurant version of a five-star Yelp wink. A line like that usually means something good is happening inside. The place itself has a great vibe and you can tell people genuinely love this spot. While waiting I looked around the shop area and noticed they have wines available for purchase. One bottle caught my eye immediately... a 100-point rated wine. For anyone who knows wine, that's basically the culinary equivalent of a mic drop. A perfect score from top critics is rare air. Naturally I did what any responsible food lover would do... I snagged it. A 2020 Super Tuscan that felt like finding hidden treasure on a shelf. The young lady behind the counter was an absolute delight. Super friendly, welcoming, and she even laughed at one of my dad jokes... which means either it was actually funny or she deserves an Oscar. Either way, great hospitality all around. The food came out and the table looked like a proper Italian feast. We had the meatballs, calzones, a chicken panini, and the coleslaw salad. My friends were loving everything. Plates were disappearing fast which is always a good sign. Now for the moment I had been waiting for... the meatballs. They were still good, but they didn't quite pop the way they did in my memory. You know that nostalgic flavor that takes you right back to the first bite you ever had? That lightning bolt moment? I was hoping for that same flavor encore. This time it felt more like the band playing an acoustic version of the hit song. Still enjoyable... just missing a little of that original fireworks. But hey, every great restaurant gets an off day, and honestly the overall experience was still a great stop. Good food, great hospitality, and a place that clearly has a loyal following. And those meatballs? I'm confident they'll make their comeback tour. When they do... best believe I'll be back for the encore.

Dominick's has excellent sandwiches at their Italian deli!…read more The bread for their sandwiches is so fresh and rustic. All of their selection sounded so good. I could hardly choose. We had the Chicken Cutlet Parmagian and the Big Daddy, (roast beef and mozzarella with marinated red bell peppers.). We were really hungry so we each had a large sandwich. They cut it in half we were stuffed to just eating the 1/2 of the sandwich and took the rest home for leftovers. We also had some of the mixed olives and cheese from their deli case to snack on with our sandwiches. It was wonderful. They used a really good olive oil in their marinade. It's been many years since I tried the restaurant side, but I remember it being so wonderful and authentic. I can't wait to try that again soon too.
