I was so eager to return since the last visit was fantastic!!!! Today was mediocre at best. The chips were over fried and dark. My papusa was only cooked on one side and white and soggy on the other. My chicken taquitos was fine. My companion's Birria tacos were soggy and not nearly as delicious as last time. What happened Soriano? We decided we will give it one more try, to be honest today's lunch was disappointing. The waiter is always great, always accommodating and pleasant.

Call them. Like N O W!! When they answer, say HI Freddy!! Everyone in town is talking about your food over there!!!! 1(530) 303-3371! Yes, Freddy answers the phone every time we call. He sounds...happy, and when we ask about the dishes, he shamelessly boasts of each we ask about. In this one-horse town, surprisingly, we have several very good Latin/ Hispanic/South American/ Central American restaurants within a 7 mile radius, and we've had our favorites over the years. It is hard for a new place to get established bc they really have to out-do the reigning favorites of the townsfolk. But we've n e v e r been terribly impressed with anyone's Chile Rilleno's,! As a result, whenever I drive back from the Bay Area, it's always with plans to drive back with CR'! But my trips have become lesser as the years go by, so when Soriano's popped up on NextDoor with high praise, we placed an order to pick up the next day. Since that day, barely a month ago, we've tried many of their dishes. This particular group of chefs and visionaries emphasizes the San Salvadorian genre of Latin food, and they have it nailed down to a SCIENCE!! Every bite just m e l t s . They have my FAVORITE comfort food in the WORLD - (Shout out to ..) P O Z O L E!! Freddy is "the closer" because he provides colorful detail and gives every dish you ask about, WELL-DESERVED, high praise!!!! In summary, The portions are not skimpy!! The prices are a welcome relief!! The hospitality, it's like....like going to your favorite Uncle Tony's house, and when you walk in the kitchen, he's got his apron on and and a spoon full of something yummy, saying "heyyy, taste this!" The parking lot is generous, immense even, right on the main drag, and although we've not "dined in", the people we've seen when we open the door, ...look darn HAPPY! Great food and plenty of it for a reasonable price from a clean place with friendly folks!!! You deserve this. Get dialing!!! You're welcome!!!

This place was sooo good the popusas were amazing! I came here with my coworker Niki and her daughter; it was sooo good! The workers were nice and quick to assist :)

Stopped in after visiting a winery and searching on Yelp for some place new to try for lunch. Service was fast and friendly. The restaurant is small, but is clean and has comfortable seating. The food is Salvadoran and Mexican. We ordered the Malibu Shrimp appetizer, which is coconut-breaded shrimp served with mango sauce ($8.50). I also ordered the soft taco with asada ($3.75), and my husband ordered the Pupusas Revuletas, which is a pupusa (thick griddle cake) with peppers, onions, tomatoes. I thought the shrimp was a bit overcooked, the coating being a deep brown rather than a golden brown, and a bit too crunchy. The mango sauce was okay, but not a lot of flavor. The taco and pupusa were good. Overall, a fine reasonably-priced lunch.

Way back from Tahoe and and wanted to try a hole in the wall Mexican place and we came across this amazing place. Great customer service amazingly fresh food at great prices. Happy hour surprised us. Repeat visit for our family for sure.

The food and service were great. It's a cute hole in the wall restaurant and the server was very friendly. They serve free chips and salsa.

The whole entire experience was special. The food reminds me of my Tias and Mama Carmen making pupusas at home. The owner came out and toasted with us and to us all. I wished I lived here because I'd eat here every week no questions asked. Bottom line you don't see customer service or get an experience like this with cooperate restaurants. This place will stay in my heart and I will have to come and visit every year because it reminds me of home!

Everyone is so friendly and energetic. They really make you feel welcomed. The location is well decorated, spacious and clean. The pupusas are next level. 5 stars. The Alcapurria masa was missing flavor even tho it had a beautiful fry on it. The meat inside wasn't bad. I was disappointed to not be given mayoketchup and the sauce was very runny, I didn't think it enhanced the Alcapurria at all. The yellow rice was also lacking in flavor, it needed more sazón or sofrito. And the cook on the rice itself was off but perhaps they had a bad batch that day. The Shrimp on the Mofongo was the best thing I had and I enjoyed the portion. The mofongo just needed more butter since the juice from the shrimp couldn't cover the whole serving. Overall I want to give them points it did help my craving of missing home, hopeful it was just an off day and they can hit with more sazón next time !

That was not a good feeling, but then he also did not speak English well. He messed up three of the four items we ordered and of course they all cost more than what we ordered. When we got the bill and told him, he got the cook and we were able to settle everything out easily. We were told that the owner's wife was out so he was serving. We were happy to hear that his serving was temporary :). I am not sure if we received the lunch item or dinner item because our bill was wrong, but I ordered the chile verde chimichanga which comes with rice and beans. It was hot and fresh and absolutely delicious! My partner had the bean and cheese lunch and he loved it as well. The salsa was flavorful and mild. All of the food was mild so next time I will ask for some spice! The restaurant is a good size and festive looking. It was clean and comfortable and the prices were good! We can't wait to go back!

Ordered half chicken which husband enjoyed but the rest was thrown out. 4 chicken flautas that were so burnt the meat looked like burnt steak. The chips they added for free were dark brown, the jalapeño poppers over cooked and dark brown was also missing any ranch for dipping. Lastly, we ordered 2 carne asada tacos and the meat was also burnt black and dark brown bits, no lime served on the side for these. After leaving a 25% tip online we'd hoped to have an enjoyable meal but we were disappointed. Also surprised at whoever packaged the food, letting it be served in that condition was concerning. We'll try elsewhere next time we are in the mood for good Mexican food.
