Glad that they got a JM in Placerville. Had them in Florida when i was living there and used to love their BLTs. Waited until the hype died down and got a mini #9 mikes way minus tomatoes. Also ordered a side of chipotle mayo and buffalo sauce to dip. Sandwich was packed and delicious. Deli meat was fresh. Mikes way makes the sandwich pretty "juicy". It was yummy though bc I was horrified at the amount of vinegar (and was it oil?) she put on my mini. So great suggestion. It IS a little pricey here. This was my second attempt at Jersey Mike's, and I still don't understand the hype. $32 for two sandwiches and two bags of chips. That's it. For that price, I expected a really good sandwich. Instead, the turkey was watery, paper thin, and had almost no flavor. Overall, it was just a subpar sandwich. I gave it a second try thinking maybe the first time was just an off day. I treated the family on Friday at almost 80.00 and a 20.00 tip. Ran in after work today and picked up 3 sandwiches for dinner and lunch tomorrow. I got up to Pollock Pines and handed my daughter her sandwich. It was completely wrong not even close to what I ordered. No big deal, I figured I'd call and they'd make it right next time. NO! They said I can bring the wrong sandwich in and they'd replace it. I don't live down the road and even if I did I wouldn't necessarily want to go back out. According to the manager he said it's the owner (Gino's) policy to bring the wrong sandwich in! For 20.00 sandwiches, I'm not going to waste another 10 in gas and my time. I LOVE Jersey Mike's. I used to go to them in SoCal all the time so me and my husband were eagerly waiting for this one to open since we heard. Still consistently amazing sandwiches! The only problem I've ever had is that sometimes I get an onion accidentally put on my sandwich and I can't stand onion. But I do understand that they are always busy and mistakes happen. Mikes is by far the best sandwich place in placerville and nothing else even comes close. Love this place, but today I was very disappointed! I ordered a giant #13 Mikes way. When I got home, I discovered there was about 1/3 the amount of meat the sandwich usually comes with! Until now, I haven't had a REAL sub sandwich. And judging by the line out the door, neither had anyone else in this little town. But the line moved quickly, the people were happy, and the end result was well worth the minimal wait. The staff was friendly, and it was apparent that they were all glad that we were all there, without being all gushy about it. The tall guy with "the hair" taking orders is phenomenal! He greats everyone that walks is with cheer. When he's not fresh prepping your sandwich he is tending to other needs of the business such as cleaning and stocking. He's guiding others on what needs to be done and jumping in on the register too. I wish I would have gotten his name but by my description, you will know! Food was great. Next time I'll ask for light sauce. I did see the one that seemed like the owner observing and coaching on standards. Clean and working like a well oiled machine! I've ordered twice online and once in store since their opening and all 3 have been great. My online orders had a couple tweaks (no mayo; ranch and buffalo on the side) that weren't anything crazy but I do get a little nervous when the place is new to town and busy.
