North Shore 6" Regular with everything.

Interesting theme in the place, kind of chill with a Hawaiian/Beach chill feel to it. They also use Frisbees as plates, kind of a cool touch to the vibe. The sandwich selection is pretty big and they allow custom choices if you don't want any of the pre-set ones. I had the North Shore. The regular size was bigger than I had expected, looked and tasted great. Staff is polite and friendly. Answered my wife's questions with a smile. If there was one of their locations closer to us, I could see it as a weekly go to.

We kept getting recommended to try beach hut deli. A few different people told us how much they liked it, I am not a huge sandwich person but my husband is a sandwich aficionado he loves them. So one afternoon we decide to give it a try so we grab a menu turn on the table side TV to football and order a meatball sub & a caprese sandwich both warm. Hubby said it was the best one he ever had! Wow! Now I know he's had many many meatball sandwiches so that was really saying something. My caprese sandwich was on regular wheat bread toasted like a grilled cheese with fresh spinach, tomatoes and mozzarella cheese it was good. Both sandwiches were served by themselves no fries or anything but they have chips for sale as well as salad. The have self serve soda both draft & bottle beer. We were both glad we tried it out, although I thought 2 sandwiches 1 beer and 1 soda for 50 bucks was pretty high. It was fairly crowded so they do a good business. We would definitely return.

-beach bikini -literally a thanksgiving sammie -turkey & cheese -sunburn Chips 2 drink $50 Quick service. Shared parking within the plaza. Plenty of parking. Plenty of seats. Order at the register, find a seat and pick up at the counter. Friendly staff. Easy meal that the family can all agree on! Quick pit stop to Tahoe!

Stopped in on our way to Truckee, and wow, what a sandwich. We ordered ahead online, and our sandwiches were ready to go by the time we got there. Filled with plenty of meat and all the fixings, this was a filling a delicious meal. Will be back again .

Great friendly service the other day! I wish I would have got the young man's name that took our order. He was amazing and patiently got all of us through the lunch line as quickly as he could. I couldn't remember when I had eaten Beach Hut Deli last! Probably circa 2018 passing through this stretch of 180-W. I've been on a hot sandwich kick lately and I was so glad I ordered the Malibu. It's probably my new favorite! I was hungier than usual and I'm glad I didn't order their small. It's one slice of bread folded in half. Pictured below is their medium Malibu. My son had their ham and cheese and like anywhere you can build your own. I don't recall the last time I spent over $10 for a sandwich, but this one was a little over $15. Their sandwiches are on the pricier side, so it's going to be a treat to have a hot sandwich here. I'll be back either in town or passing by on this highway.

Beach Hut Deli is the deli sandwich place to go. The sandwiches here are huge! Each sandwich is loaded high with meat! I really like their bread too, it is so soft and delicious every time I have eaten here. We stopped at this Colfax location on the drive back from the snow and service was quick and our sandwiches were delicious as always.

The place was busy when we got there. We ordered 3 sandwiches, which give generous portions, a drink and a couple of bags of chips and a beer. The bill was $45. Our food came out pretty fast, within 10 minutes. We got 2 warm sandwiches and 1 cold one. I thought my warm was was only okay, but I switched the bread to sliced from a roll and I think that made a big difference. Next time I will get a cold sando since I wasn't very impressed with my hot one. They do have my favorite VooDoo chips there, so I got a bag for the road. They serve the sandwiches on frisbees and they play reggae music, and have tvs in the booths. The owner or person working the register was really informative and friendly. Overall cool place to stop when heading/coming back from Tahoe!

Amazing sandwiches but be prepared to spend $40 on one sandwich if you like toppings and extra sauces and flavors.

Besides eating, I'm a HUGE fan of NFL football, and I watch every game during the season and the…read moreplayoffs, up to and including the crown glory... Superbowl. For the last three months, I've been seeing Subway commercials advertising the "Comin' on Hot" sandwich, using ghost pepper bread. I detest commercials, and I usually ignore the advertisement, but the "foodie" in me got the best of me, and I couldn't help myself but to succumb... The Colfax Subway restaurant is unique, as it's a "standalone" building, unlike most Subway stores you'll visit. It's located just off busy Interstate 80, and the restaurant receives lots of traffic from the freeway. Besides the truckers, tourists and freeway travelers, this restaurant is a favorite of western Placer County locals who are in the mood for a decent sandwich. From the advertised, "Comin' On Hot" menu, I went with a #34, the "Spicy Nacho Steak" sandwich. The menu describes this sandwich as, "Steak, 2x Cheddar cheese sauce, onions, peppers, jalapeno peppers. Creamy Siracha, SubKrunch toasted." The menu didn't mention the much touted on television "ghost pepper bread." I guess that was in the "SubKrunch?" By my request, I added sliced tomatoes, shredded lettuce and olives, as I love to load up a sandwich as much as possible, as veggies are an absolute delight. The sandwich began with the "SubKrunch" roll, which, according to the media advertisements, was ghost pepper bread. The bread roll was fresh and crunchy, with large bites that went "crunch" when I bit into the sandwich. Where were the ghost peppers - ghost peppers are reportedly the hottest chili peppers on the planet - as the bread definitely had a slight "kick," but where was the ghost pepper burn that I was looking for? The sandwich included a smaller size portion of marinated steak, thinly sliced and grilled to perfection. As per the advertisements, Cheddar cheese sauce, Siracha sauce, onions, diced bell pepper and pickled jalapeno pepper slices graced the sandwich. Tomato slices, shredded lettuce and olives were added on my request, as the friendly staff at Subway will make your sandwich to your order. With my first bite, I was rewarded with a taste sensation, as the meat, cheese sauce, veggies, and the ghost pepper bread all worked together to made for a great sandwich. But... ghost pepper bread? ... where was the heat? Yes, there was a bit of a "kick" to the sandwich, but it wouldn't have been enough to offend a grade school girl, much less a seasoned veteran of Mexican dining like your author. This sandwich was delicious to the taste, but when it came to "ghost pepper" was as tame as your grandmother's little kitten on a lazy Sunday afternoon. I absolutely laugh at the difference between the sandwich showcased in television commercials, and the "real" sandwich that you actually get at the restaurant. The difference is stunning... if you've ever seen the advertisements on television, you know what I mean, and I'll let you draw your own conclusion. $10.29, plus state sales tax for a 6-inch, highly advertised, custom made sub sandwich. Hmmmm... the price of admission seems to be on the steep... way too steep side of the sandwich fence for me. It is what it is, and now my curiosity has been satisfied, and I now can watch the NFL playoffs, along with the Superbowl knowing that I've enjoyed a Subway "Comin' In Hot" sandwich, with ghost pepper bread.

We were in the store too! The worker couldn't cancel the order, nor could we cancel online. What shoukd have been 2 minutes became 45!!! Will never order subway again, especially from colfax.
