We went to this location when it first opened and the quality was rather bad. We gave it until tonight figuring that it was because it was new. Tonight we waited almost half hour in the drive through when there was only 2 people in front of us. We figured that even though we waited a while, at least our food would have been freshly made. We get home and had the following: Potstickers - if these are frozen previously, all they did was thaw them out. If they are not frozen, then they just came straight out of the fridge and into the container. They were cold and absolutely disgusting. Chicken - our chicken (orange and teriyaki) were chewy and literally smelled and tasted like feet. We both stopped eating it after one bite. Rice - the rice wasn't cooked all the way. First off, it's a little sketchy.. multiple homeless camps, broken down cars, tarps, bbqs & dogs are loitering in the parking lot. A sad reality of being next to Walmart in this county. Wow... a very big let down. I went through the drive thru in Placerville. I ordered honey walnut shrimp as one of my choices but was told it would be a wait. I thought I'd try the new Wok seared Steak and Shrimp instead. The picture advertised looked ok. I even asked before ordering about the portion size and was assured by the order taker it was their "normal" amount. When I got home it had only one shrimp and one small pieces of cubed steak piece, the rest was potato and onion. I've never had issues coming here, with the prices so high I come by once in awhile. Sadly today I spent 10 bucks on a medium entree which wasn't even filled all the way. Could have gotten a plate with the same items with more in it for cheaper. The service is always hit or miss, this time they acted as though it was the busiest day ever trying to get me out of the way as fast as they can. Don't waste your money or your appetite going here. I know panda express is not high end but when you eat at chain/franchise, you do generally have an idea of how the food is going to taste. However I have to say it was the most disgusting meal I have ever consumed the only thing that had any consistency was my soda. I don't understand how you can screw up fried rice or chow mein but both were severely under flavored and undercooked. The Mongolian beef tasted like something made by Pedegree or Alpo as did the refrigerator temperature honey chicken. I thought that I might be able to just bury it with soy sauce and add some flavor and as I approached the counter to request soya sauce I heard one of the employees mumbled under his breath "another complaint"! I didn't bother to mention it in the store because they already knew that their food was horrible. Meanwhile I returned to my horrible plate of food attempted to flavor it and couldn't help but notice that the main cook who I also suspect is probably a manager went to the bathroom which does not offer paper towels, only a air dryer, I heard no sound of the air dryer, which was within earshot. I noticed that his hands were completely dry and he returned to the cooktop without washing and began flipping chicken. At that point I decided just to throw the food in the garbage and go. It's 5pm Monday, time for dinner. In the drive through. As I approached the squawk box someone was already speaking. I turned my motor off when I got there so I could hear the person taking the order. As I began to give the order I was interrupted and placed on hold. Shortly, a young lady came on and I proceeded to give my order. First was 2 bowls of brown rice with string bean and chicken. She told me they were out of brown rice and it would be a while before there would be more. I conceded to accept white rice instead. The second order was a bowl with steamed vegetables and teriyaki chicken. She told me it would be 3 minutes before the vegetables would be ready as they were currently out. The final order was a plate with chow mein, Beijing beef and Kung pow chicken. I proceeded to the window and paid for the order, then was asked to wait in the parking lot to receive the order. After 10 minutes waiting in the parking lot I decided to visit the front door in hopes to speak with the manager. As I approached the door I witnessed my order being assembled. The young man brought the order to the door and I requested to speak with the manager. He replied that she was in the restroom. Not wanting to interrupt the managers personal business I asked the young man to relay a message to the manager. My message was simply that the service being provided is lacking and my desire to return is waning. I hope he did deliver as it is the manager's responsibility to make sure food is ready for service when it's dinner time. It was not. Shame on the manager! Literally the worst panda express that I have ever been to. I have been here 5 times and each time they have forgotten part of my order. I have to remind them to include the sweet sour sauce with spring rolls, straws with drinks, and utensils. Also, no matter how much food I've ordered, or how many people are in the car with me, there has only ever been one fortune cookie in the bag. Worst Drive Thru EVER! Pulled in at 1:40pm with three cars in front of me. Took 20 mins to get to the window. Each car sat waiting to give their order for approx 5 mins. The food was HORRENDOUS, service was good though!!!!!! Yeah, I know it's just Panda Express; but this food if you can call it that didn't even taste like Panda Express. Everything just tasted wrong, bland and watery and/or overcooked. My steamed vegetables weren't steamed all the way through; it contained watery hard cabbage( they used the whole cabbage not just the leafy part, the extremely bitter end was in my veggies GROSS) and hard carrots with overcooked string beans lacking zucchini. The shrimp I ordered tasted fried not stir-fried. It was horrific trying to eat this, supposed food. They will deny customers if they feel they are getting too busy which is something we've only experienced at this fast food restaurant. The absolute best Panda Express experience I have ever had. On my way to Tahoe, stopped in to use the restroom and wasn't even hungry. Staff gave me the key to the restroom with a smile. The line wasn't very long so I figured I would try something. Tried the shanghai Angus steak, and WOW! This is not fast food all of a sudden! I started seeing Chinese people everywhere for the next ten minutes or so! I'm a foodie and I got blown away by this entree.
