Very disappointed tonight! Drove about 15 min in traffic to place my order in the drive thru, drove back home only to find that one plate was completely empty of the orange chicken that I ordered. It's not like they gave me double of the other item, they just completely left a empty space in the container. This was the only thing my son wanted and I paid for it, so I drove another 15 min back just so they could give me a small to go container of orange chicken. I'm sure it's no where near the portion size that I should have got and paid for!! Disappointed that this is the only one in Merced with a drive thru. read more

This Panda Express is great. Ive lived in San Diego all my life, and when I moved here I was surprised to see a drive thru Panda. Its very convenient, and parking is not bad if you want to walk in to order. I did give them one less star because I did go through the drive thru, and the order was incorrect. Other than that its a good place to eat, and staff is very nice. read more

The food was very fresh. The tables could've been cleaned a little better. The customer service was pretty good. The wait time was very little and we received a good amount of food for the price. I ordered the beef and broccoli and my girls ordered the orange chicken and shrimp with almonds. All look and tastes very pleasing. read more

Panda is panda. The only critique I have for not only this Panda, but as well as the one in the mall, is the broccoli is NEVER cooked through. It's so stiff & hard to take. I love beef & broccoli but I'm just going to stop getting it at both of these places because it is never good. I usually just throw the broccoli away because it's nearly raw with some flavor added to it. Other than that, the food never disappoints. read more

The restaurant states it closes at 10:30 pm however when I went around at 9:58pm an employee locked the doors when I was getting out of my car without telling me anything. Therefore I hoped back in my car to drive thru the drive thru thinking that I would still find food. But to my surprise when the employee greeted me through the voice machine he said that they had no more food. I was left hungry so I give it a low score because a restaurant should not run out of food while still being opened. read more

Today I went to Panda Express. While waiting for them to ask me what I want. The Asian girl whom puts the rice or chow main and stuff in was telling the Mexican girl who decided to test food temperature why it was busy that the Asian girl whom was working drive thru had a hang over. So the one checking the the temperature ask the one on drive thru if she had a hangover. Then all three of them start laughing. While I was waiting for the cashier to grab my food and put my egg roll in the bag which by the way took 5 minutes because she seemed to be the only person really trying to work. You have another employee guy come up and start making his food. So you have the drive thru, the temperature reader and the main entry person as well as someone else there now making there food all playing around while the girl working register keeps trying to go around all them to get people there food and cash them out. It took 15 minutes to get my food when reality it should have only take at most 5 minutes. Watching this was so unprofessional and something I would not want customers to see. read more

so... even though they don't accept the V.I.P. card, I come back here once in a while. But, I have been "bumped" in the drive through by two cars now, on two separate occasions. Maybe people just want to eat their food because it's so good? In a pinch... this place will get you through dinner. read more

I just had dinner here and I was very disappointed. First of all the chow-mein was burnt, it was black on the ends and you could smell that it was burnt but the cook still put it out to be served and the server continued to dish it out like that was the way it was normally served. The orange chicken was half crispy and half soft and the really crispy pieces had almost no orange glaze. This was not a good experience. While I was not expecting high level gourmet cuisine I do expect to be served food that is cooked properly and get my $9 worth. I ate two bites of the chow-mein just to see if it was edible, it wasn't, and I only half of the chicken. Needless to say I just ate here for the last time. What a waste of money and time. I will stick to authentic Chinese restaurants when I have a craving, it may take a little longer to be served but it at least it will be worth the wait. Good-bye Panda! read more

So they close at 10:30 I went about 9:45. I get you want to leave and go home but Damn! This is about the third time I've ordered fried shrimp and paid for it but was not in my bag. Another issue that bugs me is they NEVER give me straws. There was a gentleman working tonight never seen him there before as I am a regular sweet just didn't get the order right. The food was good other than that had a not so great experience the drive though had 3 cars ahead of me and it took for ever , finally paid and got my food she said that's everything I had to ask 3 times for my passion tea then she handed it to me no ice at all and warm .. parked and ate my semi warm food along with my warm tea ... totally not worth the price for such mediocre food. Waited 30 minutes for 4 plates and a panda bowl(which are normally pre made right?) I would understand if there were a lot of customers or something but there was nobody there when I got there. I went through drive through too and then was told to wait in the parking lot. There was a few cars behind me who got their food and left. After about 30 mins I walked inside and was told that they were slow but then they had a small rush after I ordered. Shouldn't I still get my food first? And nobody came out to update me or let me know. Such slow service. read more

I used to really like panda express.... But the food has become really half fast made in which is no longer a choice on my fast food list to go to..... The fried rice supper dry, chow main taste like hard crunchy dried up top ramen not even freaking soy sauce does the trick...... And for the price Yuck yuck COOKS STEP IT UP......! Usually pretty good for what it is. A couple of times some of the items looked like they have been sitting there for a while and was cold. The staff is very friendly but i have learned which employees i want serving me and which ones to avoid. It is really annoying when they put an item on your plate then they look at it , do the weighing it with their hands thing the take some off and put it back in the tray. I mean come on its Chow Mein, just put a spoonful on the plate and move on to the next item. read more
