This spot has funny names to their burgers, but the burger actually is pretty delicious. The seasoning is spot on and I feel like even with a single it's really filling. The fries were also crunchy, which is my personal preference for fries. I don't like fries that are super soggy. They did have a special the time that I went where they had like a barbecue burger/patty melt , which is the second burger pictured in this post. It's also pretty reasonably priced and in my opinion affordable. Service was really quick. They were packed when we were there and they were able to get out the food relatively quick. It's definitely like a burger joint you go you order and then you pick up your food there isn't that much customer service involved. Inside they have a huge painting of a burger, which I forgot to take a picture of, but they also have a really clean, which was nice. Anyways, I think it's really good. As a vegan in Merced, theres not a lot of dinning options for me. Heard from a friend that pretty good burger had a plant based option so I decided to check it out. They have it on the menu as pretty fake burger. I've ordered it twice since discovering this gem. I had to double take because it tasted just like meat. They did an amazing job on the flavors of the burger. Highly recommend tasting their pretty fake burger as it's so tasty!! The name largely says it, this place is "Pretty Good," although I'd say a little better than that, and we enjoyed the reference to the film. We ate here on our recent visit to Merced and had smash burgers, onions rings, and fries. They were all very good, but not really outstanding. 4 stars for all. Single handedly the best burger spot in Merced! We got two pretty basic burgers (plain), but one with their not so special sauce. My girlfriend says that it seems mayo based and a bit spicy with jalapeño. She said it adds loads of flavor. I highly recommend the fry shake! It adds extra flavor to the fry's and it's got a great taste. The burgers were hot, juicy, and cheesy. The service was great! Kind cashier and we got the food delivered right to the table. Calling this restaurant Pretty Good Burger was a very humble decision. The burgers aren't just pretty good, they're really good! My group and I came here on the way back from Yosemite feeling hot and hangry. Luckily, Pretty Good Burgers revived us and got our energy back up. This was such a fun restaurant to go to. The staff were all very friendly and chill. I thought the potato buns wouldn't be vegan based on the website, but the cashier was excited to tell me about the vegan buns they had available. There was a person who came in to use the bathroom and get some water, and they were very accommodating about it, which I can't say for a lot of other places. The drink selection was great. I liked that they had Pibb Xtra, which is quite rare to find nowadays. They also had several flavors of Jarrito's soda. The burgers themselves were soooo good! The patties had a nice seasoning and flavor to them. The Fake Burger I got was very hearty and satisfying. The fries and onion rings were also a huge hit, and my group finished them very quickly.
