Came to Smash Bros before a movie and left feeling just whelmed. The inside is really open, but literally every table was atrocious... dirty, sticky, crumbs errwhere. We ended up finding a table we had to wipe off because every booth was disgusting. They seemed to have full staff behind the counter too, so not sure why there was no one bussing tables. We ordered: Flat burger - literally a flat burger.... um. Tasted basic, the smashed burger did not add anything. If you're going to accept a tip, take the customer's meal to their table. Change your onions from white to purple and the flavor will just be that much better. Frst sauce should be free. Worked into the price of the burger. Yet you charge $.50 for your bro sauce, which amounts to thousand islands with a little bit of BBQ sauce mixed in?? Really, common man. Oh, no large meal. Just a meal. Same soda size for everyone. If you want a large meal, basically the fries are the only thing you get large, and you pay extra. The menu is pretty simple so it didn't take very long to review. Ordering was easy. Cashier was a little soft spoken but nice. Drinks are self serve and ketchup as well. Place is pretty quiet. Very casual ambience. The bbq burger was really good. The Philly cheese steak is one of the better ones here in Merced. The onion rings were panko crusted and not too bad either. I recently ate lunch at this Smash Bros. I had originally noticed them when I was in line across the street (at In N Out) a few weeks ago, but, on that night, there was some kind of car show going on in the parking lot, so I decided to come back when it was less busy. I ended up coming back during lunch time on a weekday. I was torn between ordering a burger, or loaded fries. Luckily, they had the perfect solution on the menu: Bombastic fries. The Bombastic fries were seasoned fries topped with a smashed burger patty, cheese, grilled onions, special sauce, and chopped jalapenos. The flavor of the smashed burger patty was mostly overwhelmed by all of the amazing toppings, but I could still tell that it was really good. I don't eat a ton of smash burgers, so don't have much to compare it to, except to say that I liked it a lot. Portion size was kind of small, but decent enough for the price. Aside from the Bombastic fries, I also ordered a pineapple milkshake. The pineapple milkshake was phenomenal. I'd been wanting a pineapple milkshake for a while, and this one was everything I wanted and more. It tasted like it was made with real pineapple and real vanilla ice cream. The restaurant was clean, and the customer service was good. It didn't take very long to order or to receive my food. This was one of the best American fast food lunches I've had in ages. Your space is pretty big which is good, though I came at an off-hour so I have no idea how busy it gets. Tried to BBQ Bro. It was pretty good. Not mind-blowing but good for what it is. I think it could use more meat tho. It was "smashed" pretty thin. Love the crunch but one patty is way too small. So all in all, taste was good, but the meat felt too skimpy. The fries were amazing though. Nice, crisp, steaming hot. I hope you make it though, we can always use more options here in Merced.
