Had P.F. Chang's for the first time last night and was ultimately let down. The Pan Fried Pork Dumplings, Changs Spicy Chicken, and Sesame Chicken all had little to no flavor. It honestly tasted like the food had been washed down after seasoning then cooked. The vegetable fried rice was okay but nothing special. It has an alright atmosphere but you can get better food with more flavor from a carry out restaurant and not waste any money. read more

This was our first time trying this restaurant. The food was pretty good, I enjoyed the sweet and sour chicken and my husband had the sesame chicken. The service wasn't great. I felt that our server wasn't really interested in us at all. He would come ask a question and quickly leave. My mom and I had a great experience at this PF Changs! We both have dietary restrictions and we were planning on just trying to figure out the best options ourselves but our waitress was extremely helpful. She was able to tell us the breakdown on a lot of the dishes and even provided me with a gluten free menu to make my choice easier. My mom and I ended up splitting the GF chicken lettuce wraps with light sauce and the beef with broccoli with the sauce on the side. Perfect amount of food for the two of us and very filling! They've definitely done a major upgrade to the menu. I was very impressed at the family style ordering which make sense for a Chinese restaurant. More food for the table...or for you to take home. They seemed to be super busy the night my friends and I visited and according to them, didn't get our drink order quickly enough so they offered us a free appetizer. This was nice of them considering we only waited like 3mins which isn't bad in my book. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! We order the green beans and lettuce wraps for the appetizer. I tried the honey chicken and brown rice over my usual sweet and chicken. It was good but not much to it. No veggies. My friend got sesame chicken and it was so yummy! I'll try that next time. My husband's favorite meal, Kung Pao Chicken and its version comes from P. F. Chang's, so we set off there for his recent birthday dinner. Since I'm not a big Asian food fan, I've narrowed my favorite dish to the Cashew Chicken. We were sad to see that after not being here in awhile, the chain has substantially pared down its menu. No more Cashew Chicken. Also deleted was another classic Moo Goo Gai Pan, and my husband's favorite cucumber side dish. I wound up picking a steak bowl with tomatoes, onions and potatoes in a peppery sauce that was perfectly good. We also split tasty pork potstickers. I went to this restaurant for lunch with my partner. Every previous visit has been satisfactory. No amazement but service and food at least met our expectations. Sadly, the most recent visit was significantly below our expectations. Our sever got my order wrong. He never checked up on us until another server overheard me complaining about the food being wrong and the other server told him to check up on us. We watched him check on the other tables several times. The only difference between the other tables and our table was that the other tables had much higher bills bc they ordered alcohol and desserts on top of their entrees. My partner and I only ordered an entree (2 entrees total) and water. Also the other tables were of ppl from European ancestry while me and my partner are minorities. I was so disappointed and left our server a note explaining how unsatisfactory our experience was. I gave constructive criticism. I did mention in quote "...not sure if it was our height, weight, race, socioeconomic status or what we ordered that made you treat us so differently compared to the other tables..." I left my phone at the restaurant and had to return to pick it up. I was not embarrassed!!! I held my head high and walked in. The server saw me and gave me a nasty look. The manager, a man from turkey, asked me to step outside and talk with him. He goes in quote "I saw your note and I didn't like it. I'm from turkey and I would never hire a racist employee!" He never apologized to me and my partner. He never offered us an incentive. He only focused on ONE word of my note. When my note CLEARLY read that I felt treated differently and wasn't sure why and that the POSSIBILITIES could have been our HEIGHT/WEIGHT/CLOTHING/SOCIOECONOMIC STAUS/RACE. It had been awhile since I last ate at PF Chang's but I went this past Sunday with my family and really enjoyed it. I ordered their gin and tonic to drink which is made with honey and oh wow that was one of the best gin and tonics I've ever had. For dinner I started with a cup of wonton soup followed by changs spicy chicken but had the chicken steamed instead of fried; I like that they offer healthier options. My sister basically created her own bowl and they were totally ok with that. Great experience overall, no complaints! read more

Having grown up in San Francisco I was raised on Asian food. You can imagine my excitement when I saw P F Changs opening. I was there the first day they opened and was greeted by Brad, the first manager. Twice a week I worked mornings in Clifton and afternoons in Blue Ash so Changs was my lunch for many years. Why am I mentioning this? I want all to know the service was five star, the food was five star as we're the drinks especially the Mai Tai which is the best this side of Maui. I've been away for a while so was excited to get back to Changs a couple of days ago. All I can say is "What the heck is going on?" To start, the Mai Tai is still five star but the $11 price is, well, ridiculous. The service, our waiter was Matthew, was still five star. The food, however, has changed dramatically. My favorite egg drop soup was no longer thick and rich and had almost no identifiable egg in the watery tasteless substitute. My Mongolian beef sauce was scant and, well, just different and tasteless. All I can say is that whoever made these changes has ruined a truly great Asian restaurant. For shame. Since writing the above review a couple of rears ago, I've continued to go to PF Chang's at Rookwood. As I said, having spent the early years of my life in San Francisco and having been to Hawaii and other Polynesian places multiple times I am extremely familiar with Asian and Polynesian food (Trader Vic's and Don the Beachcombers). And Chang's served the best Mai Tai this side of Mama's Fish House on Maui north shore. BUT NO MORE! This fine restaurant has MAJOR, MAJOR QUALITY ISSUES. Yes, I am aware of staffing issues for all restaurants lately but there is ABSOLUTELY NO EXCUSE FOR QUALITY CONTROL DEFICITS. The last several times I've been it's been the same. Rice was room temperature and entree tepid at least and over done. The mai tai has been removed from the menu but "We can still make one for you!". PF Chang's needs a new manager. We took my visiting parents here 10/26/2019 for a casual dinner. I made reservations that morning. We show up at 7:05 for our 7:15pm reservation and were told it would actually be another hour and a half because the kitchen was having problems. There were people seated for 30 minutes who were just being served and they were STILL TAKING CALL IN ORDERS! A decent manager would have cut off the call ins and taken care of folks who made reservations first. Needless to say, we bonded with the other folks wai6who had also made reservations and were being inconvenienced. When we were finally seated, two of our appetizers were complimentary. Food is good, but more curry and ginger would have been tastier. The only thing that really made us feel better was our awesome server, Amber. Amber is quick, pays attention and has 2 little kids so tip her extra! read more

The wait was about 40mins so not bad on a Friday night. The food was good & filling; we ordered 2 appetizers to share for starters. The Spring Rolls which was very tasty & a Cauliflower appetizer which was spicy but very good. So by the time we were ready to order the main dish we were too full to order anything big so I got a Spicy Tuna Sushi Roll which you can't go wrong with & Danielle ordered the Spicy Chicken Soup which was very big & amazing. This is one of the nicer PF Changs that I have been to. It is regularly packed. Service is hit or miss at any restaurant. I have been to this one several times. Tonight's service was excellent. We made a reservation earlier in the afternoon which turned out to be a great decision since the wait was over an hour when we got there at 6:30 on a Thursday night. Food is pretty standard among the chain. Chicken Lettuce wraps were awesome. Wontons were very good. All of us got different chicken dishes and none disappointed us. What can I say... it's a P.F. Chang's. When you go to a chain restaurant like this, you enter with a lot of preconceived notions and expectations. This particular P.F. Chang's didn't do anything to alter that, either in a negative or positive way. We had the Kale & Quinoa Dip and Crispy Green Beans as appetizers. Neither was stellar (and the tempura-battered green beans weren't exactly good for you either), but a decent way to start off the evening. I had the Sea Bass as my entree, which was nicely prepared. It was easy to break apart and eat with chopsticks, proving it was cooked in a competent manner. They give you a complimentary fortune cookie at the end. If you have young ones, you might want to pre-screen the fortune. Unless you're in the mood to explain something like "Your smile is a curve that can get a lot of things straight" to your 5 year old. read more

I was here on Memorial Day and the service was slow. Not sure if the hold up was in the kitchen or with the server. We sat there staring at each other for a long time, tapping our chopsticks, waiting for food or drinks. I had a glass of wine and when I was finished I was never offered another. Luckily there was a water pitcher next to our table, so we could pour ourselves a glass of water when our other drinks went empty. They food was good, but I would not recommend the crab wontons. PF Chang's was accommodating when I requested stir fry Bok Choy as a side dish. I usually order the vegetable sides (2-3 dishes) with brown rice. Abby and I went here a couple days ago with a gift card. We started with cocktails which were well done and tasty. I had the Twisted Whiskey Sour, which had good flavor; Abby had some kind of ginger lime drink that she really enjoyed. We did the "PF Chang's For Two" deal, which got us each a soup, a shared appetizer, individual entrees, and a shared dessert for $40. It was well worth it. We both had the wonton soup; it had water chestnuts, shrimp, mushrooms, and spinach in addition to the pork wontons. Soup had good flavor. We split the "hand-folded crab wontons", which are basically crab-rangoon. Very tasty. Abby had the "Spicy Chang's Chicken", which she thoroughly enjoyed. I had the beef and broccoli which had good flavor. We finished it off with warm chocolate wontons with a raspberry sauce. Service was prompt and friendly, and they boxed our left-overs up for us at the table! There was enough food for us each to have dinner and take home lunches. It was a great value. This wasn't the best chinese-esque food I've ever had, but it was solid, and it was nicer than just getting carry-out. The atmosphere was casual, but still nice. read more

The service here is always great. Going on a Thursday night is a good time to go because there's no wait. They also do take reservations. I'm giving it a 3/5 because the food isn't very good. For as much as you spend on the food, you would think the portions would be a little bigger. My friend and I went on Sunday because I had a buy an entree get an entree deal. We started with the lettuce wraps which were delicious as always. For the entrees we got the Kung Pao chicken and the Dan Dan Noodles which is no longer on the menu. The Kung Pao chicken had very little sauce and the white rice was extremely dry. I'm eating the leftovers right now as I'm writing this review. The Dan Dan Noodles was a much bigger portion, had a lot of delicious sauce, but the noodles were over cooked. Noodles should have been cooked al dente, but they were more on the soggy side. Even though we were full, we decided to get dessert and ordered the lava cake. The cake was delicious as was the fruit that accompanied it. Only issue I had was that they included vanilla ice cream on the same hot plate that they cake was served on. If it wasn't for the coupon, I wouldn't have come to PF Chang's. I think I'll just stick with the mom and pop Chinese place up the street from me. You get a heck of a lot more food for the same price that I paid on Sunday. read more

It's been a long time since I've eaten here and I wanted to take my son for his first time for his birthday. I was very disappointed though, especially with our waitress. Our waitress (Alexis)had a very unpleasant/unhelpful attitude. My son asked what something was on the menu and said "I have no clue" but didn't bother to ask someone else and let us know. Then gave us the wrong order for one of our meals, had our bill wrong and then she forgot to put in our order for our to go. Had to wait 30 minutes for the to go order and when she finally brought it out she had the containers sideways in a small bag so the sauces were spilling out as we walked out of the restaurant! My daughter and I went last week. Got 2 appetizers, which were both mediocre at best. (We got the dynamite roll and the tempura calamari.) The roll was very disappointing, especially for that price, and the calamari was 3/4 breading and 1/4 veggies and calamari. For our entrees, we had the honey chicken and Singapore street noodles. The chicken was extremely overcooked, and they put so much seasoning on the street noodles, it was disgusting. I've had them before and really liked them - but that was just gross. The waitress was okay - we sat there for a while before she ever came to our table. Overall - very disappointing experience. The food here is good. The service person was very nice. However their may be some training issues. Ordered a vodka gimlet - shaken, straight up. Not an unusual or complicated cocktail at all. Two ingredients. The service person had no idea what I was talking about and had to explain it. Any competent bartender should be able to make this easy. Waited almost 20 mins to get it. It arrived in the wrong type of glass and with ice. Never had one made this way - ever- anywhere. Just drank it and did not say anything. Maybe the bartender was new. For whatever reason this particular PJ Chang restaurant deserves a horrific review for the way it treats its dine in guests. We had a Bday party reserved for two tables of 8 (covid) when we were finally seated the entire restaurant was freezing cold, there were patrons eating with their winter coats on, I've never ever experienced anything like this in any establishment. Ordered the lettuce wraps (I've had these at other PF Chang's restaurants and loved them), the BBQ spare ribs and pork egg rolls. The filling for the lettuce wraps were burned. Like, really burned. Black, powdery edges to the water chestnuts and ground chicken. It made everything taste horribly bitter. The spare ribs were cooked perfectly and were falling off the bone, but the amount of five spice in the sauce was completely overpowering. It tasted like straight black licorice. The flavor of the egg rolls were pretty good but they were way too greasy. I've eaten at other PF Chang restaurants and really enjoyed it. I'm not sure if this place was having an off night or if they just suck. Either way, it was so bad I will not be giving them another try. read more
