The stir-fried Kung Pao Chicken was savory with a mild spicy kick from the dried Sichuan chilis. The Pad Thai was flavorful as well. It's (rightly) salty and sweet with a hint of sourness (from the tamarind paste ingredient). The pork egg rolls are filled with well-seasoned ground pork, shredded carrots and cabbage. We had reservations on NYE- it was busy as expected and they were running behind. The hostesses were the picture of grace under pressure! They clearly mark all of their GF items, which is a major plus for me. In fact, they're one of the first places that have labeled gluten (before it was trendy). Lunch portions are almost identical to dinner (except for the price). If you can get in before 4:00 it's not a terrible deal. read more

I wanted to get my family something special for Valentine's Day, so I ordered a family meal from the P.F. Chang's in the Rookwood Plaza. When I arrived, they were finishing up my order, and I brought the meal home. We ate our food that night, and thought it tasted somewhat off. Shortly after finishing our meal, my wife and I began to feel severely nauseous. From that night until the middle of the next day, we were suffering from food poisoning. I had contacted Customer Service the very next day, to let them know what had happened to us. I will give credit, the Customer Service Agent listened and apologized for what we had experienced. The CSA sent the feedback up, and I was contacted by the Operations Manager of the restaurant. He had stated he wanted to rebuild our trust in the brand and offered a refund with a gift card. Sadly, as of this review -- almost 2-3 weeks later, nothing. Originally, my family and I would love to go to P.F. Chang's. We thought the food was really good and would even have dinner with friends there. Even when the service was hit-and-miss, we still thought it was a good place. Delightful luncheon dining experience with my business associates. Ambiance is upscale, spacious, fine asian decor. Service was exceptional as we were enthusiastically greeted by our waitress and given ample time to review the luncheon options. I choose from the luncheon section of the menu deciding on the Teriyaki Chicken with Soup and Fried Rice. The Egg Drop Soup came with a nice size portion and was so delicious - thick, savory broth with fresh, crunchy vegetables. The chicken, fried rice arrived with the perfect temperature and again with an ample portion, so fresh and flavorful as well. After thoroughly enjoying every bite that I could, our waitress cheerfully packed up our leftovers and wished us all a happy day. Panda Express blows them out of the water in the aspects of taste, price and service.. don't bother doing online order pickup. sat in the place for 35-40 minutes with 15 door dashers in and out within 2-4 minutes each. They clearly have some priority for door dash to top it off I get home and the dumbass on the phone screwed the whole order adding green onions when I repeatedly said 3 times no green onions. I was not impressed. I got the surf and turf. The price is high and the dish is small. I expected more asparagus. There were just a couple small pieces. There was a bunch of potatoes and about five pieces each of the fried lobster, shrimp and steak. It tasted excellent. I think this is a place that always expects a crowd. Maybe they are too busy to think about cleanliness. Upon arrival we noticed how dirty the doors were. All glad covered in greasy hand prints. All the ledges were dirty around the seats and especially around the bathroom. Good thing the lights are dim. Most people won't notice. There was a roach in the bathroom that climbed out from behind the paper towel holder on the wall. Gross! We were freezing the whole time. The air was on blast! Our waiter wasn't friendly at all. They have some decent drinks; the bartender is friendly and will make you a good one. It took six years of someone else taking me here before I found a couple menu items worth ordering and those items are at best watered-down Chinese: Sweet and Sour Chicken, and the Tempura Bowl. They're actually pretty good, but when I really want Chinese ,I'm looking for wherever someone hid the paper menu that the local spot dropped in the mail. read more

Rookwood Location: This location has been the one I have frequented the most, since they have opened and the quality has declined tremendously. On this particular night, I went later in the evening and sat at the bar. I order the Fried Rice with Lobster and Shrimp. Service: 98% of the time I have experienced excellent service from this location, so I won't allow this experience to diminish that. Food: The rice was extremely bland. I had to ask the waitress to bring scallion and hot peppers to add flavor and she obliged. When I made the additions and went to mix in with my rice, I found a foreign object in my food. The waitress/bartender was standing right in front of me and I showed her the object. She attempted to dissect/inspect it and told me she didn't think it was what I thought it was but offered to make me a fresh one. When she returned, she said the kitchen also wanted to assure me it wasn't what I thought it was, but instead a mashed hot pepper. She brought out the dish and the lobster and shrimp were both overcooked. I am convinced all they did was re-fry the dish. At that point the entire experience became unenjoyable. I will refrain from stating what I thought it was because I'm unable to say with 100% certainty. I paid for my meal, had her box the new dish in a "to-go" container and went home. This experience has forced me to give a low rating for what used to be one of my "go-to" spots. I will not be returning to this location. read more

I love going to P.F. Chang and when I am in Cincinnati or on my way to Columbus I will stop here to get something to eat. This isn't my favorite P.F. Chang. First, on our last visit, our server wasn't that great and didn't give us fortune cookies. The table behind us got fortune cookies, the table in front of us got fortune cookies, but my table did not. I don't know why that's important to me but it is. They should have brought us cookies and I tried to get the server's attention about it. Second, it was busy but not so busy that it took more than five minutes for someone take our drink order. Luckily, I was there with my parents and my dad's food related health has us on our toes so we were ready to order when we placed our drinks order. I ordered the Mongolian beef with brown rice, I love this dish because of its simplicity. My father ordered the pepper steak. I tried his pepper steak and it was funny tasting - I've had it before and I can't put my finger on it but it didn't taste correct. The spices were off somehow but he didn't say anything about it so I minded my own business. This wasn't my best experience at a P.F. Chang but par for the course at this one. I'll find another place for my mid-way stop to stretch on my trips to Columbus which is too bad because I love Asian inspired food. read more

This was my first time coming for my girlfriends birthday. Our waiter Kyle was very friendly and explained how the menu works and his table service was excellent! But that's not the best part! I ordered their homemade Ginger Beer (non-alcoholic) and the ahi poke appetizer to eat there and beef and broccoli (extra spicy) to go. I was greeted promptly and felt that the servers were very attentive at the bar, especially for Saturday night at 5pm. The ginger beer was SUPER spicy but really tasty. It seems this would be an excellent mixer for drinks (Moscow mule anyone?). The ahi poke was so good. I love this sort of thing and the chips they served with it were really salty which really offset the Avocado and raw tuna. My takeout was excellent and reheated well the next day. Meh. Never been to a PF Changs before but have been aware of their presence in many cities. Checked this one out for lunch. Nothing impressive about it. Typical national corporate chain restaurant lack of excellence. The service was adequate. Egg rolls were not served hot. One was actually barely warm and seemed like it had been microwaved. Both tasted greasy and bland. The weird sweet n sour vinaigrette salad dressing they serve as a dipping sauce didn't help it at all. Shrimp in my kung pao dish was overcooked. Kung Pao Sauce was really salty (lame corporate strategy to get you to buy more stupidly overpriced cocktails). Not only was it salty but it had no depth to the flavor. Tasted like it was just soy sauce with red chili oil added. Beef n Broccoli was fine but again lacked any depth of flavor as compared to most places I've had it. P.F. Chang's is best at their appetizers. After that it tends to blend together. By this, I mean nothing stands out above the rest. We have been here quite a few times over the years and felt I needed to take the time to mention a few favs. My last visit was with a friend and her toddler, while I had my oldest with me. We were seated at a table, which was great for the littlest among us. She was able to hop down chat with her mom privately and not interrupt other diners with her movements. Love the space! The service was great and super friendly. I haven't had a meal that wasn't good. However, I may just always order the spring egg rolls and lettuce wraps. Our first visit there was a couple months ago we had poor unfriendly service. The table next to us had a great server. we were envious. So we thought we would try it again. Place was crowded and we got our reserved table pretty quick. Our server looked and acted overwhelmed. we ordered an appetizer which came out by a runner. Our server came by and filled our waters and took our main order. after that we never saw him again until the end which we had to flag him down. a runner brought out my daughter's entrée but not mine. It never came. I asked the server to take off the entrée which he did then asked we pay by phone (added to my irritation) which I tried and it wouldn't work. Had P.F. Chang's for the first time last night and was ultimately let down. The Pan Fried Pork Dumplings, Changs Spicy Chicken, and Sesame Chicken all had little to no flavor. It honestly tasted like the food had been washed down after seasoning then cooked. The vegetable fried rice was okay but nothing special. I went to this restaurant for lunch with my partner. Every previous visit has been satisfactory. No amazement but service and food at least met our expectations. Sadly, the most recent visit was significantly below our expectations. Our sever got my order wrong. He never checked up on us until another server overheard me complaining about the food being wrong and the other server told him to check up on us. We watched him check on the other tables several times. The only difference between the other tables and our table was that the other tables had much higher bills bc they ordered alcohol and desserts on top of their entrees. My partner and I only ordered an entree (2 entrees total) and water. Also the other tables were of ppl from European ancestry while me and my partner are minorities. I was so disappointed and left our server a note explaining how unsatisfactory our experience was. I gave constructive criticism. I did mention in quote "...not sure if it was our height, weight, race, socioeconomic status or what we ordered that made you treat us so differently compared to the other tables..." I left my phone at the restaurant and had to return to pick it up. I was not embarrassed!!! I held my head high and walked in. The server saw me and gave me a nasty look. The manager, a man from turkey, asked me to step outside and talk with him. He goes in quote "I saw your note and I didn't like it. I'm from turkey and I would never hire a racist employee!" He never apologized to me and my partner. He never offered us an incentive. He only focused on ONE word of my note. When my note CLEARLY read that I felt treated differently and wasn't sure why and that the POSSIBILITIES could have been our HEIGHT/WEIGHT/CLOTHING/SOCIOECONOMIC STAUS/RACE. I didn't have the energy to argue with him so I smiled and nodded and thanked him for keeping my phone from damage. I will no longer be visiting this restaurant. read more
