We hadn't been to P.F. Chang's in many years. One thing that's nice is the decor hasn't changed, but it still looks fresh and clean. Our server was very enthusiastic and attentive. We had Crispy Green Beans and Shrimp Dumplings appetizers. The green beans were good, though a bit greasy. I didn't use the dipping sauce. The dumplings were delicious; the sauce poured over the dumplings was tasty. Mark and I took advantage of the lunch special. I had Egg Drop Soup and Firecracker Shrimp. Mark had Hot & Sour Soup and Kung Pao Chicken. Both of the soups were served very hot and they were good. My shrimp was tasty; Mark's Kung Pao Chicken was bland. Both dishes had an overwhelming amount of red chili peppers, which didn't seem to impart any heat to the dish. Though Mark loves spicy food, he avoided the chili peppers because heat for heat's sake, rather than flavor, is not a taste sensation. One of our friends had the Thai Peanut Salad. It looked delicious, but she didn't come close to finishing and did not request a box for leftovers. Lettuce Wraps were also ordered, but our friend didn't finish them either. Tried P.F. Chang's for the first time in nearly a decade! The place is still beautiful and very clean inside. Servers were great and explained the menu. Food prep from when we ordered was also very quick! I tried the spring rolls and lettuce wraps. Both were decent but nothing to write home about. I did notice a discrepancy in the menu and how it listed the calorie count for the wraps. I asked the server if he knew the correct serving and calories in which he brought back their notes it also had conflicting numbers and none of which matched. I truly hate giving this a 2 but I must. This is a nightmare for someone who has food allergies. I am only able to order a few things off the menu and while they are good I want more options. 50%+ of their dishes have some type of shellfish product (oyster sauce) and the other vegetarian options often contain mushrooms. This is super disappointing and their allergy menu does not contain my allergies as a whole, as they miss some items. The servers are not knowledge about the menu components and often have to confirm my order, which makes ordering a bit embarrassing and lengthy. Maybe they could take a note from other restaurants and have the chef consult with the guest. The egg rolls were very good, and the spicy mustard dip...was nose snotting good (kinda gross, but you get it). I had the Salt and Pepper Prawns and they were just okay. Ventured here on a Thursday evening and just wanted some good p.f Chang's food. We were seated right away luckily. We pretty much know we're getting every time as they have been pretty consistent over the years. Service is a well-oiled machine. It kind of feels like one of the more established national chains like Olive Garden or Red Robin where they kind of have it down to a science. So in a way that's good! We very much enjoyed their fried rice and we get it every time. I had some of the short ribs which unfortunately had a weird overtly anise taste. I am not a fan of anise at all so that was not good. The wontons are always great and they are always consistent. I also had some of their seafood soup which was also pretty darn good and I definitely want to get it again. P.F. Chang's is probably one of my favorite national chains. Each time I've visited, the food is always tasty, we usually have semi-decent service, and I absolutely love their craft cocktails. We had a late lunch at this Norwood location on Saturday, and had a great time. Our server, Jada Michelle, was sweet and attentive. We started with the crab wontons, which are actually made with real crab, as opposed to many other Asian food restaurants that only use imitation crab. These were warm, creamy, and crispy. We also ordered a spicy tuna roll ... sometimes the sushi here is great! Sometimes it's subpar ... and that was the case this time around. The flavor was there, but the roll was just a little on the warm side. I always go with their signature Lettuce Wraps as an entree - these literally never disappoint. The filling is the perfect mix of salty and sweet, with delicious textured bites of water chestnut peppered throughout. Sometimes I get the vegetarian filling, but this time I ordered the chicken. My fiancé went with his classic order - shrimp fried rice. Their portion sizes are huge, so this ended up being two meals in one. With one cocktail and one soda, our total came out to around $70. Not the cheapest Asian cuisine you can buy, but it's true that you're paying for quality. We'll definitely return to P.F. First of all, let me start by saying that we all know P.F. Changs pretty well. But I haven't been to the one in Hyde Park in many years and just went there again so I wanted to do a little review. Let me say for a chain restaurant, they are fantastic. I was in a group of ten and the service was great. We got seated immediately, the young man, whose name just flew out of my head dag nabbit, was so friendly and personable! (Gahhh!!! I hate forgetting names...it's gonna come to me at 3am I just know it.) Anyhoo, he was on top of the ordering and the refills but not overly intrusive to where our conversations were constantly getting interrupted. Everyone's food came out pretty much at the same time and no one had any complaints. Everything was so delicious. I ordered the Sesame Chicken and fried rice and it was flavored just right! Not too salty but just right. I even had enough to take home for later. The restaurant was clean!!! Ya'll...this is a big one for me. If I look up and see dust all over the light and then look around the room and see dust...it's a turn off. And many chain restaurants seem to do great when they open and then say forget it!! But not P.F.Changs in Hyde Park, they're keeping classy. I didn't see ripped upholstery or broken down seats. So if you're in the mood for some Chinese food, don't forget your local P.F.Changs and Tyler, or Teddy (it will come to me I swear) or any other smiling face that we met in there will serve you some great food. read more

We are frequent diners at P F Changs and enjoy many of the menu items. My husband's favorite is the honey chicken. The chicken nuggets have a light tempura coating. I enjoy the signature chicken lettuce wraps, sesame chicken, and fried rice combo. You can add additional vegetables to any dish to make it exactly as you like it. All dishes are freshly made. Usually we have leftovers for another meal. Service is always attentive and prompt. The only slight negative is that the music is usually a little loud and not always creating a pleasant ambiance. We had a great experience this evening with Matt as our waiter.. he was friendly, efficient and fun to talk to. He was there when we needed something but not when we didn't- thanks!! For a chain restaurant, I was actually impressed with the quality of food. It's Americanized Chinese food but everything was well seasoned and the flavors complemented each other. All of the dishes tasted very fresh, not too greasy. We got the Father's Day special with hot and sour soup, chicken lettuce wrap, pork dumplings, beef lo mein, sesame chicken, beef and broccoli and crispy honey shrimp. It's an interestingly wide restaurant, with the bar in the center back. We got right in for a Sunday lunch and the server was polite and attentive. The dynamite shrimp appetizer you have to try, I loved it! The cheesy crunchy shrimp combination was something I was not expecting, but it was so so good. For my entree, I got the chicken lo mein and it was also pretty good, but nothing spectacular. I'd expect to have leftovers, it was a really decent size serving. Overall, I've always had great experiences at PF Chang's. I have been eating here for years and have gone multiple times on my birthday - usually getting the Great Wall of Chocolate Cake! One thing I'm recently disappointed by is their small menu options. It was much larger pre-covid and I think it's made me love the restaurant less with fewer choices. However, what they do offer is delicious. The Asian Pear Mojito tastes like gummy bears and the Iwai of the Tiger cocktail tastes like pineapple lychee heaven (and comes with an interactive game!).
