    Order bar

On Jan 16th, arriving at this restaurant, I didn't know if a gluten free diner would have any choices. The complimentary two hour parking was easy with using the QR code at the order desk. Ordering drinks and entrees were just as simple. Order and pay at the bar then take your given number sign. A server will bring it to your table as soon as it is ready. Water and cups are self-serve. The birthday gal picked the pork green chili ribs with the side of parmesan fingerling potatoes. After smelling the aroma, I had to take a taste......great choice! I went for their baby back pork ribs with au gratin potatoes. Both entrees were fabulous. For $24 each, it was a great value for made from scratch meals and we were both full. We didn't even touch the fresh seasoned bread that accompanied our dishes. I received a generous pour of red blend wine for $14 and the birthday gal said her luscious limeade was refreshing with the fresh lime juice for $13. What made this evening a win was the community vibe and the warm service from Xavier. Corn hole games were available to play on the large patio creating a welcoming, neighborhood feel. The parking timer even gave info on how many minutes were remaining on our free parking slot. I like this place!

9/20/25: wow, what a wonderful place. This was our very first visit but it won't be our last. The environment, the friendly staff, the delicious food, it was all a fun experience. Only two things to "warn" you about: 1) parking could be tricky. When we got there around 4:30 this particular Saturday, there were plenty of open spaces. It looks like you'll have to pay BUT really you do not because you'll get a code at the ordering counter to take care of the fee. Oven + Vine is across from an apartment complex & many cars were parked on the street. 2) Exiting could be troublesome. When we left, there were cars jammed on both sides of the street, making it difficult to see oncoming traffic AND we just happened to have a huge truck coming down the lane, taking up most of the street; glad I had a smaller car & could squeak by. It was a bit pricey (between the two of us, w/ tip, we paid $130) - but we also got a lot of food. The charcuterie tray, roasted mushrooms, sausage penne rosa, and the Scotty's sausage mushroom flatbread. Even writing this review three month's late, I can still taste the deliciousness of all the food. The drinks cost as much as any other bar; they were also very tasty: Garfield punch & boulevardier. Next time we visit, I think we'll try to go earlier. Maybe the parking / exiting the lot will be less stressful. Ha!

As a vegan, I loved the clearly labeled vegan options. This little spot, was really cute. The patio is dog friendly, and there's a couple tables outside. I ordered the It's VEGAN flatbread that came with mushrooms, pesto, zucchini, tomatoes and was drowned in olive oil. it was heavenly. The flatbread was very soft, but still had a crisp bottom. I shamelessly wolfed it down, I was starving. Everyone loved their mixed drinks, a bit on the expensive side but also very delicious. I'm sad there's not one of these in Tucson, it was definitely a treat. I have to knock a star off for also being smoking friendly(?), at least the person next to me was smoking a cigar and it really ruined the atmosphere.

This adorable restaurant deserves all the stars. It was the most quaint, cozy, enjoyable experience! Michelle, our server (and possible owner/manager) was the BEST. She must not be from AZ because her customer service was top notch! She was so delightful, engaging, and made great suggestions. The food was soooo good! Highly recommend the potatoes and the mozzarella pesto flatbread. I could eat that every day! We had a spread of flatbreads, pasta, and bread and it was all scrumptious! I will definitely be back!

We visited Oven & Vine tonight before our show at the Orpheum Theater (10 mins away). Interesting location with indoor/outdoor seating. Roasted veggie app was very good but a small portion for $9. The Italian combo pizza was excellent and highly recommended (even though it could use some more mozzarella). Ribs were fall off the bone, but when they fell off they were dry and hard to chew. The Au Gratin potatoes are a hard pass and I love potatoes. I think they were lacking cheese and flavor (your other option is the fingerling potatoes and I would suggest trying those). The bread was advertised as homemade and fresh and I doubt it was either. They could be used as hockey pucks. If you feel you must visit, I would recommend getting a pizza to go. As for service, you have to walk up and order at the counter, you have to get your own water and they never came by once while we were eating. Doubt we will return.

Went for a quick drink and small plate before dinner. Cool looking with outdoor seating. Had an aperol which was weak on the aperol. For the small plate, we had roasted veggies which was ridiculously small and not very flavorful. $35 for 2 drinks and roasted veggies seems a little steep. The pizza did look pretty good though.

This is an awesome little place to come grab some drinks and some food. Came here for a birthday with a group of 6 and ordered a few pizzas and drinks. You order food at the window and then find a place to sit and they bring it to you. I love the small business feel of this place and the attention to detail. The pizzas were delicious and they have a very unique selection of beers!

On a recommendation I wanted to come here, and I was kind of impressed for such a small space, this restaurant makes the most of the space. Dog friendly, and the outside is quaint with little lights and picnic tables. The food was really well made. You can sit inside or outside (which was so nice!) cute place nice atmosphere and nice prices

Such a sweet spot right off of Central Avenue! I was famished & needed a late lunch. They're open from 3 - 9 pm. The Bacontarian hit the spot: sandwich featured good ratio of bacon to bread. Bread is toasted and could have used a little more of jalapeño spread to make it less dry. Side salad with creamy parmesan peppercorn dressing was delish. I ordered a Chocolate Torte (their flour-less chocolate cake) to go for an added treat. Once home, I dived in...I'm a third generation baker so, yes picky af. The Torte was just ok: cheers for being dense. But chocolate flavor was odd: I'm not sure what kind of chocolate is used but it had an after taste. Maybe that was from sweetener?! IDK. Most other customers would probably gobble it right up. Their little patio with lights and heaters is an oasis. There's plenty of room for social distancing. They even have a whole sink set up to wash your hands. The two staff (maybe owners?) were super accommodating/welcoming. Overall, my first visit to O + V was a good experience & definitely plan to swing back by w/ friend b/c it's so close to home.

I don't believe the server knew how to handle the less than formal style of the group I was with, but they did not turn us away and provided phenomenal service. The drinks had elegant garnish, and were well made. The most complicated might have been a vodka soda, but the additional touch was nice. For a start we ordered the oysters, which was kept everyone stuck between being nice and fair, and wanting to take all for themselves. We also ordered the octupus which was very good. For my main, I had the salmom rillete. Well made and pesented - I only thought to take pictures after I ate. Our group was never rushed for the bill and we enjoyed a beautiful evening sitting on their porch. I am looking forward to going back more "prepared" and enjoying their seabass or beef bourguignon.

I chose to sit at the bar, which turned out to be the best decision. I tried the oysters, the escargot, and the burnt Madeleine dessert--each one was absolutely delicious. But the highlight of my experience was the bartender. He was young, charismatic, and made such great conversation. As a visitor, he made me feel genuinely welcome, which really elevated the entire experience. I believe his name was John C. (though for some reason I thought it was Liam!). Either way, he was fantastic. The gimlet he made incredible and expresso martini even better. I would highly recommend this restaurant--definitely sit at the bar if you can!

An extra treat was that they have bottles of spicy oil on the tables, so I was able to enjoy the crusts by slathering them with the tasty oil as though they were breadsticks. On the way out, after mentioning to the bartender how good the oil was, I was gifted a couple of condiment cuplets to-go, which was a thoughtful and nice touch and sort of made up for the server who wasn't particularly warm or informative as I had to ask about the specials and whether or not all the pasta is freshly made, etc. Heck, if you have a great selling point like homemade pasta, talk it up and get us to drooling! There is a variety of seating available, including outside and at the bar--bar has an inside section as well as outside which is a nice design for the lovely weather days. However, it's unfortunate that the outdoor seating is on such a busy traffic corner, so it's not the little retreat it would otherwise be. The lunchtime music was more like happy hour music, not conducive to conversation--maybe for the cellphones-at-the -table crowd it's okay, but being near the Phoenix Art Museum and Arizona Opera, why not add to the cultural experience of the area by celebrating its Italian origins with some Italian music? Even if just added as interludes during every few pieces, it would enhance the ambiance. We had to raise our voices to carry on our conversation, but it was manageable. However, when I came back the next week with a friend with a hearing impairment, it became more problematic. She tried adjusting her hearing aids, but the thumping rhythm kept taking precedence as we tried to find a quieter corner, but it wasn't possible as it is a small space and speakers were close to each table. I felt so bad that she couldn't enjoy a meal there--we both were so looking forward to having a fresh pasta dish, but just couldn't stay. Upon leaving, I felt I should let management know why so I waited to speak to him, offering constructive criticism about the sound level but he was not the least apologetic nor said he would take it under advisement, but was completely dismissive and harrumphy as though we were annoying problems and not potential regulars with suggestions worthy of consideration. How hard would it be to have a quieter area or make a speaker accessible with volume control? People, whether on the spectrum, with hearing impairments, or just lovers of good conversation deserve respect and when it is not given, will go elsewhere....
