The French toast is to die for!! Thank you Sara the service was excellent ! We love our nest. Great VIBES!!

Great Service, Great Food! Very Clean. It was a nice place to have lunch after church on Sunday.

I'm a regular not only because of the food, but also for the service. Sarah B. Is the best, she is always attentive and makes sure everything from the kitchen is prepared just right. Food is always excellent and i appreciate how they switch things around with off menu specials! read more

The food is worth every penny! The flavors and appearance are chefs kiss! The French toast and chilaquiles are amazing. I recommend getting extra salsa for under a dollar but who cares. It's just a dollar! You won't regret it!! I would order a jar of it if I could. The service and atmosphere is perfect and not overwhelming which I love. I've tried multiple things from the breakfast menu and enjoyed every single item. Give this place a try! I'm glad they are in Brea! read more

Excellent quality food. Haven't had a bad thing in the menu. Staff is always friendly and attentive. One of my favorite restaurants!

AWESOME food and drinks!! AMAZING service! Such a beautiful restaurant! Can't wait to try the brunch! read more

Brea has its next go to spot for breakfast and more including dinner and happy hour. Sara B was welcoming and friendly. The food is the star here. 5stars to be exact. I had the carnita hash and the meat was tender and flavorful. My daughter had the french toast and it was a sweet treat in the am. I am returning asap. Sunday am watching the game at the bar with a great meal and drink sounds good to me. read more

We were told to seat ourselves. Not a lot of customers, but we waited several minutes to be asked what drinks we wanted. French toast is just four slices on a plate - no garnish - except pats of butter, with a very small amount of syrup. It was not hot enough to melt the butter. Took the first bite - bland and soggy. Very disappointed. read more

First time at Our nest and had the French toast with berries..so good!!! The berries are fresh and great quality..not mushy/old like some places. The whipped cream had the perfect amount of sweetness and a good amount. The bacon was done perfectly and the scrambled eggs weren't greasy. You can tell the food is quality for sure. Everyone that helped us was really nice and attentive even though it was busy. I didn't think to snap a picture so I guess I'll have to go again :) read more

The food is decent and the mimosas are priced well (we each shared 1-1/2 of them) but the service is trash and the attitudes of the staff are hard to overlook. Our visit started with an aggressive owner who was clearly in a bad mood. Then when our table was ready he pointed to us and told us to "go sit over there". That was a little unusual. Normally they take you to your table but ok. Then there was trash on the table and gunk. It clearly hadn't been cleaned. We had to ask them twice to clean it. The server seemed annoyed. First impressions really are everything. We ordered pancakes that were raw on the inside. They corrected it and brought them out after everyone was finished with their meals. The bill was $205 for 2 adults and 3 kids. They charge you an automatic 20% gratuity on their bad service. We did leave a tip for the staff even though the owner suggested that we didn't. To be clear, we paid the bill in full and left a proper tip. Looking back on the experience and the response to this review from the owner it's clear that the bad attitudes start at the top and trickle down through the staff. Our server likely wasn't annoyed by our multiple requests to clean the table that we were directed to sit at. She was probably just upset by how she was treated by her boss. Poor thing. Our experience was not great and we clearly shouldn't return based on the response from the owner. Brea needs more places to eat. I don't see this place lasting long in this small town unless things change. read more

The food here was great! We loved the PB&J french toast, but every dish had great flavor. The restaurant was pretty loud when it got busy,

Not only was the food delicious, but the restaurant was absolutely beautiful, already planning my next visit! read more

Chilaquiles burrito is AMAZING, kind staff, great Moscow mules! Also their happy hour tacos are very different but super taste.

Checked out this new spot and they were amazing. Sarah B was the best server. Will come again soon!!

The food & plate presentation is great. Nice bar. Service was wonderful. We loved this place & staff is very attentive & friendly for our Brea community. read more

Went with my family tonight. Great food. We tasted a bit of everything and it was amazing. Beet salad, chicken, filet, hamburger, Chilean sea bass, steak sandwich, Berry Burrata, JP fusion tacos, tallow fries, New York steak, cookies & milk and a Pistachio dessert. The staff were nice and attentive. Our waiter was Casey. He was great. The owner JP came to our table to make sure we enjoyed everything and ended up chatting with us. I admire that in a business owner. I would highly recommend this establishment. We will definitely be coming back. read more

I don't usually write reviews. Most of the time, I'll only leave one if a place absolutely deserves 5 stars for going above and beyond or if it's so bad I need to warn others with a 1 star. This spot fell right in the middle, which is unusual, but after chatting with other guests who felt the same way, I figured it was worth writing. The good: The food was solid. The Bacon Breakfast Burrito stood out, really tasty, though not quite worth the $20 price tag. If you're looking to eat a breakfast burrito with a nicer sit-down vibe, this place works. If not, Bruxie's breakfast burritos are cheaper and honestly underrated. The issues: The Menu. I've worked with companies that use UI designers, and this menu desperately needs one. It's overwhelming with too many items, yet still lacks basic details. For example, "Ask about the Kitchen Sink" could just say "all meats." Clear, simple, done. Coffee Menu. This was the biggest problem. No descriptions at all, just names like "Glow Up," "The Buff Bean," "The Kami," or "La Reina." No way to know what those drinks are without asking a server. When we did ask, the servers seemed annoyed. One told us "The Kami" was a personal creation tied to a barista's name... and it had something to do with brown sugar... but how would anyone guess that? And if the whole point is to have customers ask, the staff should be welcoming, not irritated. Talking with nearby tables confirmed it wasn't just our server, others got the same attitude. Quick fix is to just add what's in the coffee. It would solve a lot of confusion. Overall: The food was good, though a bit overpriced compared to other options. The staff wasn't outright rude, but the customer service left room for improvement. Updating the menu with clear descriptions would help both customers and servers by cutting down on confusion and frustration. I'll give some grace since the place is new, but hopefully they take this feedback constructively. Based on the Fullerton reviews, it seems the owner's wife often lashes out at criticism, which isn't a great look and comes across as unprofessional. read more

My wife was very excited that Our Nest was opening a second location in Brea and she followed the restaurant's progress on Instagram. We had the opportunity to eat breakfast a few days ago and had a wonderful experience. Last month, I read the reviews from the Fullerton location and was taken aback by some of the exchanges between Yelpers and the owners. I was curious what our experience would be like on this inaugural trip to the Brea location. First, and perhaps most importantly, the staff was great. Every person we interacted with was personable and friendly. The staff is still training, but eager to help and meet the needs of the customer. Side note- if you're going to try Our Nest in the next few months- please give the restaurant staff the opportunity to learn and adapt to a new restaurant set up. Be patient and give them some room to work on their craft. Second, the food was delicious. We are in a never ending search for a tasty breakfast burrito and my wife loved her turkey chorizo burrito. I ordered the machaca hash and was blown away by the taste and the portion size. I'm looking forward to trying the other offerings on our next visit. Third, the layout of the restaurant looks great. There are outdoor seats with expansive views of Brea Canyon. The ceilings are high, the space looks clean, and the restaurant coffee bar area is huge. I can't wait to go back and enjoy coffee and breakfast on the patio. Lastly, please give Our Nest in Brea a try and support this local business. You may love it, you may not, but it is worth a visit to learn for yourself. Even though I do not know the owners, it is obvious that they have poured their money, time, and energy into making this restaurant work. Selfishly, we live in the neighborhood across State College and are very excited to have a good breakfast place within walking distance. In addition, Our Nest can help reinvigorate the shopping center that has been pretty slow since Vons left. So, please do your part and support this small business. read more

Came in wanting banana fosters pancakes. Was told that there was a problem with the pancakes and that it would be a little of a wait. The service staff was excellent with assisting with the other item we ordered. However, when we were told there was no pancakes they offered French toast immediately. They informed us it was a best seller. Unfortunately the French toast missed the mark for me. It was a soggy bread. I understand that mistakes happen. But it's how you respond to the mistakes that matter. I felt that they missed the mark on that. They didn't come back to see if the French toast was okay. They just brought the French toast and left. If they would have checked in they would have realized that it missed the mark for us. read more

The food is delicious. When you have dietary restrictions, it's nice to find a breakfast spot with so many options.

**Absolutely Delicious!** This was our first time eating at *Our Nest* and we are definitely coming back! I had the **chili verde plate** and it was absolutely amazing--so flavorful and satisfying. My son ordered the **A-Aron pancake plate** and he loved every bite. We also tried the drinks: I had the **La Reina hot latte**, and he had a **matcha iced drink**--both were super yummy! The **service was awesome**, and the restaurant itself has such a warm, welcoming vibe. This place truly **stands out**--great food, great drinks, and great people. Can't wait to go back! read more

The food was mediocre at best and arrived cold. When asked for gluten free toast and no cheese, the waitstaff was surly. The potatoes ordered were not as described and my poached eggs came out over easy. All of this would have been understandable if the restaurant had been busy, but there were only three other tables with diners. I won't be returning. read more

My fiancé and I have gone to the Fullerton location numerous times for breakfast and loved it. We were so excited Brea opened so close to us and had their dinner and it was 10/10!! Food was perfect we ordered the burrata and it was so flavorful! The bread pudding for dessert was EVEN BETTER than their French toast (didn't think that could be possible) so happy for this place to be in Brea and it will definitely be a regular occurrence for us! read more

Really enjoyed breakfast today. Eggs clearly fresh and local, sausage had great flavor that was not overpowering on spices or salt, Bacon thick, cooked perfect! Staff had an unexpected very large crowd arrive, but it didn't affect service for us (party of 2) at all. Met John and Sam and you can feel the passion for the business. We are stoked to have this place in our little town! Look forward to trying other meals there! read more

Went here for breakfast. The French toast was maybe the best I've ever had! My husband had the chilaquiles with the green sauce. The green sauce had a little heat but good flavor. Tried the new digs they moved to in Brea from Placentia. Spacious. Food is the same as in the old location. Don't expect fast service as everything is made to order so it comes fresh! We are anxious to try the new dinner service on Thurs, Fri, Sat. read more

Very welcoming environment. atmosphere is simple yet very cozy. I especially liked the little lights on the tables. staff were very nice and fairly responsive. the food was really good, I didnt have the steak, but I had the "humbolt beginnings" it got my attention because it has apples in it. its a breaded chicken sandwich. the fries tasted like regular steak fries, they tasted good. I also had the mac n cheese. it comes with bacon and jalapeños, that one tasted really good too. I had it with a glass of pino nior and finished the night with the bread pudding with ice cream and caramel sauce. I will say the caramel made the bread pudding too sweet for me but it did taste good. if you have a big sweat tooth I would recommend it. its made with the french toast from the morning. the texture was perfect also. JohnPaul is also very nice. I would say definitely worth the price and worth supporting a local business read more

We have been a huge fan of Our Nest from their Fullerton location, so we were so excited to see that they opened this Brea location. Their new spot is so spacious, has a full bar and great vibe. Things that haven't changed is the excellent quality and taste of food, as well as their top notch customer service. This last time we visited, Sara B was our server and bartender! Her drinks were incredible and she was perfectly attentive and informative about all our questions regarding the menu. We can't wait to try their new dinner offerings. Our Nest is such a great addition to Brea!!! If you haven't been there yet- GO, and you won't regret it!!! read more

The first time my husband and I dined here, he ordered a side of berries. We were nearly finished with our meal when we discovered multiple berries covered in mold. That's completely unacceptable. The server offered to replace them, but honestly, after seeing that, I didn't want any more. I decided to give the restaurant another try when my friend took me here for my birthday with our sons. Unfortunately, it was another disappointing visit. My son ordered toast, and we asked for jam -- only to find out there was an extra charge. Jam usually comes with toast, right? More importantly, my son has an egg allergy, which we informed the staff about. They mentioned that eggs are used all over their kitchen, which I understand, and I clarified that cross-contamination was fine as long as he didn't ingest egg. Despite that, his bacon came out with egg pieces all over it. I understand every restaurant has its own policies, but in this day and age--with so many people managing allergies, dietary restrictions, and vegan choices--it's disappointing to see such a lack of care. My son has lived with food allergies his entire life, and most restaurants are accommodating. Sadly, this place just isn't one of them, and we won't be returning. read more
