Nice steakhouse. Great prime rib. Hubby said it was 8 out of 10. Baby back ribs he said were a 3. My filet mignon was perfect in middle but burned charcoal black crispy on outside..I ate my first white sweet potato in my life, always have been orange. Tasted good. Our waiter was not attentive. It really really bothered me that evey time he took someones order he pulled a chair up.He was sweet but disappeared for long periods of time. Garlic fries were so flipping good. If I could give 0 stars, I would. The table was sticky. The appetizer arrived. The server left and immediately returned with our entrees. My filet was okay but my mom's steak was very overcooked. Charcoaled around the edges. Tasted burnt. The mashed potatoes were a solid round clump of cold potatoes. The Mac and cheese were inedible. The baked beans tasted like pinto beans with catchup stirred in. We didn't see our server again until he brought our check. He asked how our meal was and if we wanted boxes for all of the food we left untouched. I told him no and why, because the meal was awful. He said here's your check, then stood there with the credit card machine just staring at us. We used to really enjoy the food, atmosphere and waitstaff at the Gresham location. Service tonight was excellent. They were super busy on a Saturday night. We found a table in the bar and waited for it to be cleaned off. The serverv jumped on it and cleaned it as soon as they saw us waiting. The food was awesome, steaks cooked perfectly. The servers were amazing trying to make every one happy and working together. My only complaint is about someone who was dressed all in black and might be a supervisor or manager?? She stood to the side of my table and spoke with some other employees. Not really sure what they were talking About but then a she told the bartender he had two girls standing at the end of the bar talking. These were the two servers who had been running around, working so hard. I found it very unprofessional. He went over to them and they just kept working. Seemed to let it go. Managers should also try to smile and interact with patrons and ask them how things are. Not walk are around frowning and looking for petty things they think employees may or may not be doing. Ordered take out for a family of 4 including a child portion of bbq ribs with garlic mashed, a mushroom garlic burger and a a brown sugar bacon BLT with mac and cheese side and bacon loaded potato skins and a slice of carrotcake fordessert. . First, the bad. Upon arrival, the order was wrong in that they did not substitute the Mac and cheese for the fries as requested. Additionally, the side salad was omitted. The lady at the register was very friendly and accommodating. She corrected these errors immediately before I left the restaurant. Once Home, I noticed the carrot cake had also been omitted from the order. I called the restaurant and the same friendly lady ensured me that they would credit my card for the price of the omitted dessert. Tasting the potato skins, all noted that bbq sauce had been added, which overpowered the bacon and cheese flavors. Additionally, the bacon on the BLT was not sweeter as one would expect of brown sugar bacon and certainly not "piled high" as advertised. It was also not crisp. The pasta in the Mac and cheese was overcooked and gummy but had a nice cheese flavor. The ribs were very tender but needed a sauce glaze. The mushroom garlic burger was outstanding. So, while there were some very good aspects to the dinner, it was, overall, disappointing, and we will likely not return. read more

Lori immediately welcomed me as I entered the Gresham, OR location. Lori introduced me to Rhonda, who would be the Server. Rhonda brought the Fluffy rolls and whipped honey butter in a flash. Under 15 minutes later, Full rack of fall-off-the-bone Baby Back Ribs, baked sweet potato, and regular baked potato. Ordered both with all the extra toppings available. Brown sugar, cinnamon, butter, sour cream, onions, cheese, and bacon. Of course, more rolls and butter, and some more warm BBQ sauce. Everything had an Excellent flavor! Rhonda, Lori, Isabella, and Kate were all attentive, cheerful, and willing to help me with comfortable seating, prompt service and follow-up. As I was leaving, all of the Ladies thanked me for coming in and wishing me a safe and Happy Birthday. Came in at 4:45pm on a Wednesday, before the dinner rush. I honestly had a VERY pleasant experience here. Our server was attentive, fast and friendly. Everything was given to us in a timely manner including refills. The food was great. I ordered a salad and a baked potato, neither of which I had complaints about. Both were full of flavor and the side offerings (dressing, cheese, etc) were plentiful. My fiance ordered chicken wings which he said were so spicy and good! He asked for extra celery which we got, but the server checked with us anyway to be sure he had enough. Went in with my Mom today (2021-Dec-11) at 11:30 and was seated. 20 minutes went by with no one coming over to get our order, drinks or meals. After five more minutes of waiting, still nothing. Our table was hiding in plane sight. At this point only five tables in the whole establishment were populated, including mine. The two servers working I guess decided to stop looking for the table they had missed and moved on. At this point my Mom and I started to discuss where we were *really* going to have lunch today, cause it's obviously not going to be at this joke of a location. We discuss for another five minutes with no change in our status, we got up, walked out, and no one notices. I wait at the host stand. She comes back and is ready to seat me. I explain to her that I was already seated 30 minutes ago and had been waiting since for someone to come over, that I called 10 minutes ago and she said she would send someone right over. Nothing in response, absolute nothing. It was like looking into the eyes of a robot. No offer of "Oh I'm so sorry, please come back in I will take care of everything". Not even a hint of that. No effort to keep up around at all. I was only told that because they were working so many tables (remember, five seated at this point) that they lost track of us. I've said this before, but I will never visit this place again. Not even if someone invites me and offers to pay. I will say no, point them to this review, and ask them to pick any other place. We went in tonight as a family to celebrate my aunts birthday. The service was slow and one of the guys who brought our food out made us feel like he was bothered when we asked for things we initially ordered but didn't get. I had to ask for ranch three times before I got it. By the time I got it, my fries were cold so I only ate a few. Kind of a waste of my money at that point. I got buffalo wings and the celery that came with them was old, brown on the ends and kind of soft. Not sure why their kitchen staff thought it was appropriate to serve browning produce. Everything about our order was just...bad. First off, let me say, our server was friendly, but it was downhill from there. My #11 margarita was sour, no sweetener of any kind (I'm a former bartender, so I know whereof I speak), and I asked if they could top it off with something, I'm thinking Triple Sec, agave nectar, or some simple syrup, but the answer I go, upon consultation with the bar, was that they couldn't do that. Thinking I'd get a glass of wine instead, the server brought me another margarita, this time made with a sweet-and-sour mix and basically nonexistent tequila. Ok, son on to the food... The rolls were absolutely white--like par-cooked, no color, but warm. We ate them anyway. With the exception of the salad, everything else was worse. My baked potato ($1 for loaded) was really small and missing chives, which never showed, and my NY strip was maybe 5/8" thick and medium-well to well-done. As I heard another table sending THEIRS back, I saw that the underside of my steak was absolutely gray, so mine went back also. My husband was decidedly unenthusiastic about his as well, but I didn't taste it so there's that. Finally my re-fired steak arrived raw in the middle. The dinner rolls....still tasty....you have to eat at least two. My mom and I both ordered the BBQ half chicken with a side salad. The salad was passable. Certainly ordinary but no big deal. The chicken we both ordered came undercooked. Our waiter was not super attentive and it took a bit for him to come take it so it could be cooked longer. Round 2 - Chicken still undercooked. Visited here twice... First time, was on mothers day. They had a special for less than $25 for a combo of ribs/steak/two sides and dessert of cheesecake. Couldn't beat that price and the portions were decent. My grandma, mom and I enjoyed our meals! Our waitress was very attentive and sweet. Wish I remembered her name! Second visit was with a friend. Don't remember much about the waitress but our meals once again were Awesome! Wonderful taste, great portions and we had their strawberry lemonade. Yummy!! The lemonade came in cute jars. They do bring bread and butter while you wait for your meals. In the entrance they do have a bucket of peanuts as well as on the tables. Throwing the shells on the floor is apart of the experience, I suppose. Even though, I'm not a fan but to each their own. The Hostess each time I've entered this establishment has not been the most welcoming. They take their time or like talking to each other more than giving great customer service. This is quite the place. Crowded and for a good reason. Here, the country music rightfully plays in the background but thats not what will catch your eye. What you'll notice first are the peanuts...on the floor, or the shells that is. Yep, grab a handful and munch on a few as you wait for a table...or at your table and just drop the shells on the floor. No worries, its okay. Nobody will give you a dirty look for being messy, you're supposed to! The chefs here are grillmasters so anything off the grill is likely a good bet. Be sure to start off with some of their rolls or better yet, some spicy lassos...those are onion rings for those of you who don't know the lingo. Also, if you're not having a cold one, try the strawberry lemonade made with real strawberries...very sweet. We were too full to have dessert, but maybe you won't be. Went to Roadhouse with my friends for dinner on a Friday night to celebrate. We ordered food and drinks. Hillbilly Punch. Our food came before our beverages. We ordered a large punch off the menu. After two large mason jars, a total of 32 oz for my friend and 44 oz for myself, we had zero buzz. There was surely no alcohol in the drinks. My friend had not drank in 6 months and should've at least tasted the liquor! We had not ate all day. After $30 in drinks we left pretty bent out of shape. I don't pay that kind of money for Juice! Nor do I want juice! The waitress kept complaining how busy they were and I have definitely seen it busier. We won't be back. read more

Baby back ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender and flavorful, although the portion was small. Sirloin was very disappointing. It was the saddest looking sirloin I've ever seen (thin and mis-shapen), and it arrived very undercooked (asked for medium and it was almost rare). I sent it back and asked for another minute or 2 on the grill, but when it came back it was well done and chewy. Sides were good, except the fries were soggy (no crispness). I also had a cup of chili, but it was SO SPICY, I couldn't eat it (there should be some type of notation that it's a spicy chili). So, service was 5 star and food was 3.5 star. So I have been to the ORIGINAL TEXAS Roadhouse and this place is not the same. Sure, they have the peanuts. Sure, they have the bread rolls. But that's the only redeeming qualities unfortunately. My boyfriend and I split the baby back ribs, full rack. The ribs were horribly dry. I had to douse them in BBQ sauce to make them edible. There was rotten lettuce in my salad. This meal was just, not good at all. The service was fine, the girls working were sweet, but the food is bad. I've been spoiled by good BBQ I guess. read more

We had the egg roll appetizers (basically a jalapeño popper but in egg roll form), they were delicious! I had the hillbilly punch, but it was super sweet so it was hard to drink. But the doubles are only a couple dollars more so that's cool! The lemonade was delicious, next time I'd just get vodka in blackberry lemonade. Our meals weren't that great. I had the chicken over the bed of rice and the rice tastes pretty gross. Chicken was better the next day. But my garlic fries and broccoli were fine...My partner had a steak and the sauce wasn't too good and it wasn't really seasoned. The garlic green beans didn't have much garlic taste to them. Overall, you can fill up on apps plus the peanuts and bread and a good double drink, which is what I think we'll come back for! A good place to stop but not exactly the largest of menus however from what we tried it was all good. The steak I ordered as rare came as well done the first time but I believe it was just due to new staff or miscommunication. The manager promptly came over and got me a new steak on his own accord that actually came as rare and it was just about perfect. The rolls are fantastic they came out fresh and warm and fluffy with the classic cinnamon butter.
