Edgefield is an experience. One of my favorite places in the city. Food is great. Staff is great. The grounds are great. So much to do here.

25 tater tots for $12.25 (before tip)

I've been to this specific restaurant a number of times, and in general to Mcmenamins all over the state more times than I could count. Mostly because they happen to be in convenient locations, historical buildings, and frequently offer other desirable attributes like near a concert I'm seeing or place I'm staying. Because you definitely don't go to Mcmenamins for the food or service, that's for sure. But this experience was even more disappointing than usual when we were served TOTS FOR CHILDREN (see pic)! 25 tots. Count 'em. For $12.25. That's 50 cents per tot. I'm so sorry, WHAT?! For literally frozen tater tots that are probably $3 for a jumbo bag?! The worst part is that folks around us ordered the same appetizer and appeared to be served a reasonable portion, so I don't know if they just like messing with people for no reason or have extremely dismal quality control but next time I go to a Mcmenamins for a show or any other reason I'll be bringing my own food and sooner eat in my car! If this is the cost and size of an appetizer then I'm guessing an entree isn't even enough to satiate my 5 pound chihuahua, even if I chose to waste probably upwards of $30 on it (just an estimation). There are lots of other nice restaurants in Troutdale area to hit up before a show, any of the restaurants at Edgefield aren't worth your time or money imo.

It's always busy here before shows. I feel like they still are understaffed and that causes more delays. While the food IS standard across all properties, it doesn't always have the same quality. Last night my burger was perfect (and I was starving,) and the tots may have been the BEST I've ever had. Crispy, not greasy at all and really well seasoned. Service was okay. I don't ever expect too much at the restaurants Tobe honest. But MAN look at those tots!!!

I love when it's warm enough that you can sit outside and enjoy some great brews and burgers at this part of the McMenamins campus.

Our friends highly recommended this spot so we made a point to stop here on our way into Portland…read more The scenery was beautiful surrounding the drive-in, which also has some indoor and patio seating. They have a nice big parking lot and it was free to park when we went on a Monday. There is a trail and playground nearby so it was nice to enjoy our ice cream after over there. I loved how they had coloring pages and crayons at the counter for the kids to kill some time while waiting for the food! I loved that they had some Asian inspired flavors on the menu which I was not expecting! I kept it simple with a grilled cheese which they serve on a waffle and I also added pulled pork for a small upcharge. The tomato soup pairing was so delicious and it was such a comforting meal in the foggy overcast weather. For dessert, we tried the rainbow brite seasonal sundae, which had these ripe mangoes and ube swirl inside. It was so cute with the little rainbow jellies! The vanilla soft serve itself was really good so I think I would've been happy whether it was a plain sundae or completely loaded like this one. We also tried the guava cheesecake cookie, which was huge and I loved the guava cheesecake filling. Sugarpine did not disappoint and it definitely lived up to the hype. It's a little bit outside of Portland, but definitely worth the drive for the scenery and the food!

Very crowded but Sugarpine drive in is truly the perfect location to grab a bite, a sweet treat, or…read morea drink after a day at the gorge. I haven't been in a while but their menu has definitely elevated with many vegan options. The line was long on a Thursday as the parking lot was crowded. Once in a cool moon was delicious! All plant based and wow the ube cake was my absolute favorite, along with the blueberry soft serve. So refreshing!

This last weekend was my 4th stay at Edgefield and let me tell you all my favorite things plus a…read morefew extra tips! - The vibe is perfect for anyone who is tired of the standard hotel. So much art to look at, curiosities tucked in every corner, space to roam and explore! - Get the passport to make your stay even more rewarding and fun! I love the scavenger hunts and the stamps force you to do things you might not normally do on your own accord. - The full pitch and putt course is a relaxing and a fun way to spend a few hours. It was only $25 per person and took us 3 hours. - I signed up for the Makers Tour and highly recommend it! Lots of tastings and great historical facts along the way. - The soaking pools at night were perfect to relax muscles right before bed plus no kids after 8pm. - This hotel doesn't revolve around children. The movies that were showing were rated R and most of the pubs and pool hall are 21+. Kids are welcome - but I've never seen that many kids around which I like, personally. - It's very Dog Friendly!! - The live music is incredible. I've been here for big concerts on the lawn plus mini concerts down the winery hall. They were all amazing. - It can get noisy between 7-11pm especially in weekends! The building is old - not sure about insulation and things! Bring some earplugs, a positive attitude and maybe enjoy an extra drink! Or go during the week for a quieter experience. - The food is a bit pricey but if you are doing the passport it makes a little more sense. Some of my favorites are the Cajun Tots, Portland Dip, any Burger, and the Bagel and Lox Breakfast is Incredible!!!

Very good, but it was $16.25 for a 9oz pour...it should be good. The small Caesar with Grilled Chicken was ok. But again, $16.00 is too expensive. I did look further and saw that the Cheeseburger, with Fries and a Pickle Spear is $25.00. No way. My server was Adam. I hope this is a short term gig for him as he was non-existent...which is what I expected. His lack of attentiveness to me was horrendous. I will not return to any McMenamins, as I stated at the beginning, service is slow, food is okay and it has become too expensive.
