Despite the slightly confusing and yet also generic AF name, My Bar is a saucy little dive that we enjoyed quite a bit. Invited here by our adoptive parents (who live nearby), I wasn't expecting much. To be honest, I was in a pretty crappy mood that night at the start, so I wasn't really in the right headspace to deal with drunk strangers and karaoke crooners, but some combination of cocktails, company, and an awesome waitress (and fellow metalhead) helped turn the night around for me! The cocktails are reasonably priced; the bartender was awesome; the drink specials were surprisingly well-crafted; and even the pretty-much-all-fried food was better than expected. As far as dive bars go, that's a 4-for-4, in my book! My Bar isn't going to win any awards for aesthetics (interior or exterior), but what it lacks in beauty, it makes up for in energy. read more

My wife and I went in there several weeks ago, we have been there about 6 times in the last few months and have always enjoyed the food and the staff, we sit outside in their beautiful outdoor area because we have a small dog, the night that we went in we were talked to and treated very rudely by the waitress telling us that we couldn't have our dog there, even in the outside area because it wasn't a service animal, we explained that we had been there numerous times prior with our dog and sat outside and it never was an issue, she insisted that it was company policy and basically threw us out, my wife and I both being past small business owners were utterly shocked by this person's rudeness and complete lack of customer service skills, needless to say, we're not going back. read more

We discovered MyBar after it took over the Spud Monkeys location on 172nd and NE Halsey back in 2020 (I think their two year anniversary is coming up), and I must say it is so good we are still customers to this day! We order through UberEats and usually get it delivered (looking at my Uber history, we have ordered at least 15 times in the last 8 months- don't judge). The few times I have been inside for pickup is laid back and not very busy. Bartenders are friendly,!. I keep telling B we need to go in and have a drink and hang out- Nice bar area and some lottery machines. Good amount of tables and a couple large tvs. They have large fire domes outside that looks cool and keeps the smokers warm. I've seen tables set up outside when it's warmer out. Our usual order is the Bacon Cheeseburger with onion rings, and a prime rib dip sandwich, but this last time I switched to the shrimp basket and it's now my new fave. We've also tried the chicken strips, cheese sticks, teriyaki burger, and the peanut butter bacon cheeseburger. Must try! read more

Stopped in for the first time sine My Bar opened. I ordered the chicken fried steak which is my go-to breakfast when I go out. It was disgusting. You could not cut it with a fork. It was stringy, chewy and undercooked. Not quite sure that happens but I could not eat it. The potatoes that came with it were cold. The eggs were under cooked with runny whites. The staff thought it was more important to chat each other up behind the bar than to take care of my son and I who were the only customers in the entire place. No warm up on the coffee or refill of our drinks until she brought the bill. Very very poor customer service. That combined either the bad food I feel no reason to return to a neighborhood stop. Visited My Bar while in Oregon visiting family. This is a cool local place. The service was good and the bartenders were checking in with us continually. We didn't eat any food so I have no input there as we were heading to dinner with family. It's a cool decor with slot machines everywhere which is not common in Florida. read more

Took a chance and tried somewhere new with my boyfriend and I'm so happy we did. The service was amazing the bartenders were checking in with us regularly making sure our food tasted good and that our drinks were refilled. The drinks were great though they didn't have a large selection of ciders the one on tap they had was very good and their seasonal menus for mixed drinks were so cute. The food was so delicious and filling, they definitely made sure to follow through with every special request we had. Overall great place to eat and grab a drink and even catch a game at. The only thing I did wish they had was a pool table or maybe something fun to do while you wait for the food like a small game or something for the younger crowd. read more

Oh my gosh!!! I am a sandwich FREAK! I find this place on Uber eats and ordered a couple sandwiches today. A Beefeater and a Gyro. Plus I got French fries, clam chowder and tots. ALL of which were amazing! I'll take pictures next time! These are my breakfast, lunch and dinner! Good price and guess what..... they were delivered HOT! I had to pay extra for priority, but if you want your food hot, it's worth it! The fries were better than McDonald's and the tots reminded me of grade school! The service was very good and they had tables distanced and server was wearing a mask as well as a shield along the bar area. We ordered the fish and chips, prime rib sandwich, and the chef salad. Great food and daily specials. Monday was ANY Burger and ANY Beer for 12 bucks. Great deal. Mark had peanut butter bacon burger and fries, plus ranch with a Guinness Beer. Bun is large brioche. Their fries are YUMMY... crispy outside, moist and tender inside. I had a Gyro with potato salad ($1 upcharge) next time I'll get fries. Potato salad is good but I liked fries better. Best bar food I've ever had! My husband and I don't get a free night often without kids. Kids went camping we decided let's eat out. Oh my gosh. This is a great neighborhood bar. We come here on Tuesday nights for a couple drinks and Dinner. The waitress remembers us every time we come. The owner has been there the past couple times we went. He is helpful and if the waitress is busy he will help you get settled on a spot. Although you have to eat outside right now (1/25/2021) I will say when we could eat inside the restaurant was always very clean, Smelled clean. They would be very good at following all the health rules. I think I have ordered everything on the menu. **The burgers** are always good. Doesn't matter which one you get YUM!! **Chicken strips** are not your typical bar chicken strips. These seem to be hand breaded and fried when you order them. SO if you are looking for cheap gas station chicken strips you will be disappointed. If you like fresh cooked and cut chicken, you're in for a treat. **Any of their 3 salads** are very good. The house salad is a nice touch to any entre. **The nachos** are good every.single.time. They use liquid nacho cheese which not everyone appreciates, the topping are enough but not too much to make the nachos soggy or gross. This has been my go to the past couple weeks. **Onion rings**... I can't tell if these come out of a bag or are hand breaded which ever one it is they are the most delicious onion rings in town. Almost as good as the at the OLD ringside at Glendoveer. **Tots or fries** are TASTY cooked perfect every time. **GYRO** could a little work. They were a little light on meat and not enough sauce on it. it was a little dry and could use a little more sauce. I will try it again **Prime Rib dip** we've ordered a couple times, it's pretty basic and not much to write about could have used a little larger portion of Roast Beef both time I ordered this. The Au Jus is nice and not over powering nor does it taste like it came from powder. **Ruben sandwich** I have ordered this twice first time it was light on meat second time it was perfect. Hard to find a good Ruben in this town. This one has a very Fair price for a Ruben. **BLT** good typical BLT. I always have a hard time ordering one and paying for it when it so easy and cheap to make at home. **ONION RINGS*** if nothing else go have a beer and order some onion rings. They are my favorite thing on the whole menu. ONE MORE THING **their ranch dressing/dipping sauce is TO DIE FOR!! SO GOOD!! read more

The staff is very friendly. Reasonably priced lbeer/wine/iquor and they use timed pours vs shot-measured pours which is a big bonus that will keep me coming back time and again. The food is not very good, but this is a bar not a restaurant. I have eaten nachos and a few other things there, and have stopped doing so. They play a variety of music depending on which day you happen to pop in. And for the neighborhood this is by far the classiest bar for many blocks in either direction. read more

I was real excited to try this place. I walked in and saw who was bartending and turned around and left. She used to bartend at the owners other bar, which I refuse to go to. The place did look nice, which is really to bad because I won't even give it a chance because of her. She is very rude and if you are not in her circle of friends she acts you put her out to have her make you a drink. How this woman gets a job dealing with the public is beyond me. Great place. We were out for a walk in the snow and saw they were open. Lunch and some hot drinks sounded great! Great menu. Lots of burger varieties and their entree specials sound amazing. We saw a breakfast go by that looked really good. I had the Pastrami Burger which was more like a Ruben burger since it had sauerkraut and stuff too. It was really good. Would not recommend eating the burgers here due to my partner and I getting sick from them. The burgers did look great when we opened our boxes that is until my partner said the burger tasted odd and then picked out a long hair from his burger after his second bite, at this point I had only eaten a hand full of fries and we both stop eat after finding the hair. I am a black women and I was appalled when she started talking about trump and how she misses how America used to be in the 1960s with a customer sitting at the bar.
