I cannot say enough nice things about the Annex! Very chill vibe, the staff is amazing friendly! And the food they offer especially the salads are all home made and excellent. I've been here a good number of times. The staff is usually so personable and the main server (is she the owner? The manager? I don't know!) but her name is Rachel and she will remember your name every damn time. This is what I'd call a "cowgirl chic" bar and it's cute. Seating isn't hella comfortable but the vibe is always good. My favorite part are the bathrooms- there is a light, bright, pink, sparkly one, and a dark, brooding, black and red bathroom. I love both for different reasons but I love that I can pick a bathroom that coincides with my current mood. The pink bright one is super fun and cute. The dark one has a really good full-length mirror, perfect to check your 'fit before going back out to join your friends. Love this place! It's a nice place in a strip mall. A bit on the small which makes the music they play very loud inside. It was suppose to be karaoke night but no one seemed into it. The person running it never really kicked things off. Maybe it was better after I left but no one sang the first hour. There were a lot of tiny mats flying around the bar as well. Today I met a group of 8 friends here for happy hour. The service was nice but they really need to up their food game. I ordered BBQ pullled pork sliders (2/ $12) which were good size but under seasoned and served in a plain cold bun. Hey!throw it in the flat top or in a toaster and show it a bit of love. I had their "baked" beans side. Several of us at the table had this side and all agreed that it was tasty but NOT baked beans. If they called it bean soup it would be spot on if maybe a tad sweet. All in all I give it a 8 for service but only a 4 for the food. I may or may not go back. As a group we decided to try another place for our next happy hour. ive stars is not enough!!! My husband and I visit this place multiple times a month (although recently it's been weekly). We have never once had a bad experience. And we've been here over 10 times. The atmosphere and decor is well done and inviting. Everything is clean as a whistle. The menu may appear small, but don't let it fool you. The portions are insanely large and very filling. I recommend literally everything on the menu. But the chili and potato salad are top tier. They regularly do specials and surprises which never disappoint. Prices are great too. The drinks are always very good. They're poured well, classics are done justice and their speciality menu is fun and yummy. The service is phenomenal. We have had the pleasure of meeting a large variety of the team. Although we frequently see Alex, John and Robbie. Everyone meshes so well and goes above and beyond with every customer. We have had many bars that we frequent, and have never gotten to know the regulars until we came here. One regular is now a good friend. The atmosphere is so inviting.
