Very nice local diner. The restaurant was clean and shiny! First time here. We ordered French toast, an Arnold Palmer and 1/2 deli ham sandwich with a cup of broccoli cheese soup. The food came out very quickly. It was all pretty good! The server was very friendly and helpful. We will be happy to return and try other items on the menu. read more

Wednesday 11:30 I'm thinking omelet but said I'd like a Rueben Sandwich 15 minutes or so later, first bite.. this is a REUBEN SANDWICH! A classic sandwich but so hard to find a really good one. Not greasy, no rubbery meat, no cheap Swiss, not over salted, not sharp crunchy packaged sauerkraut and not sopping wet with too much dressing. This comes with ample meat, stretchy melted Swiss, perfect sauerkraut and the right amount of dressing all stacked within 3 slices of rye. 3 slices of rye sound overwhelming but the flavors are in perfect harmony. Quite literally the worst sit-down restaurant food I've had in a decade. $14 for 2 pancakes and two links of overcooked sausage, French fries that were greasy and burnt, onion rings that had the taste of freezer-burned clam strips, and so much more in the way of just bad and horribly overpriced food. First off I see a lot of 1 star reviews. I go there to see the FREE live music. Usually it is very good, and FREE! The food is not bad at all. I have had just deep fried bar food though. Sometimes there is a line to get a drink, like everywhere, but they know your drink and are on it. I wish this place was a bit closer as it would be my regular haunt. read more

This seems like a local spot more than anything! Perfect a cocktail waiting for our movie to start down the street. The locals were incredibly friendly and welcoming! Service was very friendly and although they didn't carry all the items in the drink that I requested the bartender offered to make them from scratch just for me to enjoy my drink! How do you get any better than that!? You don't. This is up there with one of those spots as good as it gets. As far as bar food goes.. They are a cut above! How many places do you know that serve gizzards.. and how many do you know that serve gizzards well!? The seasoning on these treats was delightful! Mouth-watering! Location is great for small groups with pool, casino games, darts, karaoke, and more I believe... we didn't go all the way in and around. We just stayed by the bar. I came here several weeks ago with a friend and really enjoyed the food. It is very traditional american, but I ordered biscuits and gravy and the biscuits were light and fluffy and the gray was yummy. I decided to bring my husband for after Church Sunday breakfast and what a mistake that was. When we first walked in the door we were not acknowledged for 7 minutes. That may not seem like a long time but there were servers, a cook and a bus-person running around and not one even acknowledged we were there. When we were acknowledged, there was a not my job mentality about busing the tables. Having come out of the food service industry, I do realize that servers can be pretty busy, but these ladies stood behind the counter and discussed how it was someone else's job and that they had already told her. We stood around for another 10 minutes waiting for someone to clean the tables. Eventually we were seated and the server came to take our order. She was polite and efficient. Then we waited.... ...and waited.... ...others came in and ordered, even got there food, ate and left, still we waited. I flagged down the bus-person and asked for our server. When the server arrived I was told that orders were put up in the order received, there was a lounge and another room so they were busier than I could see, Sundays were always busy so I needed to allow for it. Our food came out pretty quickly after I asked about it and I have no problem with the food. They are large portions and tasty. American comfort food local diner style eats. I walked in the door at 10:27, my ticket was put in at 10:54, and my food landed on my table at 11:45. After reading other reviews here I can see that this is an ongoing problem. As a former quality control manager, I know things go wrong and my impression is never firm based on the problem, instead I focus on how they fix it. The server never once said I am sorry, let me check on it or anything even remotely acknowledging the delay. An apology would have gone a long way, but all I heard was excuses. Makes me kinda sad. Customer service is truly a lost art. read more

Visited on a Saturday morning with the restaurant 1/3 to 1/2 full. Service was a little slow. The coffee was really poor. Perhaps they ran out of filters and used a dish rag, who knows. The food bower is quite good which is why I gave 4 stars. I had the chicken fried steak which is pan fried, not deep friend. Excellent! The eggs were perfect too. This was the first stop when I moved into town and I try to drop in once a week. The staff is super friendly and I'm told it's family owned and operated. We like to come in and grab a bite at the diner and head through the door for a cold beer or cocktail from the lounge. The food is nostalgic and rich with flavor. We have gone through a third of the menu and not a single meal hasn't exceeded expectations. I'm so happy that this local fave is surviving during the Covid 19 pandemic. We dined their this evening, August 9th, between 5 and 6. I will not name our server. In a time when our health is critical as is the health of others, some of the things we observed this individual do were both risky and unhealthy. 1. We never saw her sanitize her hands. We saw her sanitize menus and tables. 2. We watched her pick up paper trash off the floor and not sanitize her hands afterwards. 3. She constantly walked around the restaurant, waiting on customers, with her mask on, but her mouth and nose were both exposed the vast majority of the time. 4. She was sneezing into her bare arm and coughing with an uncovered nose. She was constantly sniffing as well. 5. As a frequent customer, I don't want someone who can't abide by state mandated practices serving me food. As local Gresham residents, we love this establishment and would hate to see it close because an employee can't follow the rules like the rest of us. Other employees there don't seem to have any trouble followed the Governor's mandates. As patrons, we do as we're expected to - wear a mask except for when eating and drinking. The least she can do is wear her mask. Gresham residents need to help Gresham businesses. Their employees should be the first start. If we go in again and she's working, we will not be staying. read more

M&M stands for Mmmmm food. All the years I had grown up in Gresham and I had never tried out M&M. On the search for breakfast we came across the M&M and decided to venture in. The staff greeted us with a smile and told us we could sit wherever we wanted. Almost immediately we were served with water and coffee. What did we order!? EVERYTHING. Pancake - perfectly fluffy and syrup was warmed. Hashbrowns were crispy. Nothing out of the ordinary here. Sausages...they gave me 4. Holy crap! Eggs...always a breakfast staple. My breakfast meal also came with toast that I couldn't even manage to eat. You ever just want one bite of everything that sounds good? Yep. That just happened. Only qualm is that they did not return to refill my coffee. Actually they just asked my date if they wanted a refill and kind of ignored me...hmmm. Definitely a locals joint. Friendly staff. We went out for brunch late Sunday morning. The food was okay, the prices were great, but something needs to be done about the service. We waited over an hour for two burgers and biscuits and gravy. We were checked on twice throughout our time there. When we first sat down our waitress seemed almost upset when more customers walked in. M & M is a pretty decent neighborhood bar. We stopped in late because we were starving and needed a drink. The place has old school bar decor, but it was clean and had a pool table. They had decent, strong cheap drinks and friendly service. One of our party kind of inveted her own meal off of different parts of the menu, they were definitely more tolerant of that than I would have been! If you are a fan of turkey, you should really come for their turkey dinner. Real turkey, real mashed potatoes with stuffing and home made gravy. Nothing fancy, put good down home cooking. read more
