We ended up here on Halloween night. We started out looking for karaoke here, since I saw a review mentioned that they do it here. Yay! There was a live band playing instead.They were just okay, the lead singer was really good though. They did all the standard covers and there is a HUGE dance floor so you can do all your fancy footwork without knocking into someone next to you. The waitresses were busting a hump trying to get drinks to everyone in a timely manner. The drinks themselves are pretty strong and arrived quickly enough, considering there were only two bartenders on duty for such a busy night. I'll go back and check out the Karaoke and see how that goes. Side note- there were quite a few surly drunks there, I don't know if they are regulars or not, but beware, just the same. read more

Good food - typical type of diner food....Ruebens, Burgers etc. Breakfasts are really good too. Their remodel in the restaurant turned out really nice and the waiter with the bandanna-worn-headband-style really does bring the whole atmosphere up a notch...very cheery and accommodating! read more

My wife and I decided to try M&M for breakfast this weekend. We hadn't been there for several years. Upon entering the restaurant, I was pleasantly surprised by the updated wood floors and tables When I looked at the menu, the prices were still reasonable. We both decided to try the breakfast special- roast beef hash. And then we waited. And waited. And waited. No coffee refills, no sign of our server. Patience was a virtue until I noticed nearly 30 minutes had gone by. When we asked a server when our breakfast might be ready, she agreed to check for us. And like magic, our server refilled our coffee, and gave us an update on when our food would be coming out Our breakfasts were finally served and we tried the roast beef hash. Dry. Overcooked. Not much flavor. On the plus side, the service was much improved and we had a good time in spite of the disappointing breakfast. Readers beware... I love a good dive bar! So my review will be as a dive bar patron... My husband and I are new to town and stumbled across this place "fallowing the music" as we walked in the band went on a break. Ordered a beer and played some lotto. As a younger couple my husband and I did notice it is an older crowd who hangs out at this bar. (Totally fine with us!) As the band started playing again.. THEY WERE AWSOME!! Came here two times & I honestly really like this place. It's a small diner & it's very quiet. I came with my dad & he really enjoyed his food he got a country fried steak with eggs & pancakes. The pancakes were HUGE! I had the clubhouse with fries & it was delicious. The server was very kind to us & checked on us. We didn't feel rushed like some places do where they need you to get out to serve the next person & my dad had leftovers (which rarely happens ) if you're looking for good breakfast or American food this is a good place to go they have good food , kind staff & the restaurant is clean ! read more

I didn't even get a chance to try the food. Went in on a Saturday morning and it looked busy, but it's a pretty small place. Watched the servers come out several times and help the people sitting near the doors, but somehow neither of them ever made it to our end. The third appeared to be serving a group in a second room. After waiting over 15 minutes without somebody even bringing us a menu, we left along with a couple at the table next to us who were also tired of waiting. I went to the Restaurant several months back for some breakfast before work at noon. I ordered, and sat with my cup of coffee for ohhhh half hour... I tried to make eye contact with the waitress but she seemed well.. like she was the queen of the place. At the time- There were about 3 tables that had one or two customers.. and one that had four who were actually eating. 45 min passed and now Im getting freaked out... I need to go to work in 25 more mins so, I told myself to hang on... she surely would have my food to me any minute??!! Well 10 more minutes passed and she never once.. came to me and even acknowledged me there.. so I though wow.. she might be blindsighted or what?? I finally got her attention and told her my concerns about gettting to work, and she abruptly stated... well maam, there is one more person being served before you, who is seated in the bar... THEN I will be bringing yours out! Her rudeness shocked me - as here I sat for the passed 55 mins (as I had started timing hoping for food) - with not a quick smile or acknowledgement and then she had the nerve to act like that to me!!?? I simply told her I couldnt wait and got up to put my jacket on.. to leave. She didnt even say how sorry she was. She didnt care whether I never come back or not - I did make it too work on time... We were sent here by a friend because they have breakfast all day! I had the Reuben with tots which was really good! A tender center is very important to us tot lovers!! My husband has the hot roast beef he said it was very tasty too! Our server was Jackie and she was very sweet and never let our soda go empty! It is my opinion that this is a dishonest establishment. A friend of mine went to this place to play slot machines. In the middle of a bonus, with over $900 showing on the screen, the machine ran out of paper. The bartender did not know how to open the machine, where the paper was, or how to change the paper. Not only that, but she called a non-employee from a bar next door to come help. There were two people who witnessed how much money my friend had on her machine. By the time the bartender and the person who was summonsed to help were finished the money had been wiped off the machine. This place is responsible for the loss because of inept employee. The owner refuses to take responsibility, will not acknowledge the employee error or do anything other than refer my friend to the lottery. She should be taking the money from her business and making this right , pay my friend what she won and FIRE that employee immediately. One of the witnesses is one of her own employees. Amazingly dishonest and lack of taking responsibility for a bad employee. My feeling is this bar should have it's gaming license pulled for not only having untrained employees, but also for allowing a non-employee, who had been drinking with friends, to access the machines. Rest assured, I will never set foot in here again and will make sure to pass on this activity to my friends. In the end, my friend is out nearly $1000 while the bar continues to operate as if nothing happened. Very poor business decision on their part. read more

I couldn't remember the name of this restaurant - I kept thinking "Greasy Spoon"! mostly because that's exactly what this place is. That's not necessarily a terrible thing, although my dining experience went a little too far for my tastes. I *love* shredded hash browns and I always eat all of mine and will generally steal some of my boyfriend's too.. when he lets me :) However, I was not able to finish my hash browns here. It just felt and tasted like potato shreds drenched in vegetable oil. Hashbrowns should be crispy - they can be a little oily, but not wet looking. Meh :( I ordered a veggie omlette as well - pretty standard. No real complaints there - nothing to write home about. I was however disappointed in the french toast I ordered. I got the special of the day - hazelnut french toast, which I was kind of hoping that it would be prepared with hazelnuts in the batter, but it really appeared to only have a few sparse sprinkles of hazelnut bits on top. Sad Face! The french toast itself was alright, and it would have been more acceptable french toast if I didn't have the impression that it would be wonderfully hazelnut flavored. End result: Would I go back here? Maybe. Turns out I'll be living in the area for a while so my family may be in the mood for some diner grub and I'll accompany them. The food isn't terrible and the staff seemed nice enough, and I believe they did have a veggie burger on the menu as well. Hopefully their fries aren't as greasy as their hashbrowns. read more

The blt was Not good. White lettuce. Mealy tasteless light tomatoes. Bread fell apart as soon as toothpicks holding it together fell apart!

First, our server did a good job, I felt bad for her having to deal with this, but... I literally waited nearly an hour between ordering my food and receiving it. I was told it was because they were finishing up a lunch rush from the bar next door, bullcrap. I saw the ticket rail, I saw people that came in and ordered after me getting their food, I saw the cooks moving slow and not looking like they gave a crap. Shouldn't take more than 15 minutes for a ticket to be completed no matter how busy a restaurant is. The food temp was inconsistent as well, my omelette was piping hot, everything else was like warm at best. The bacon was barely crispy. Won't be returning. read more

Great Karaoke and big dance floor! Their Karaoke days are Monday, Wednesday and Thursdays, which is perfect for my schedule. The DJ is interactive and a lot of fun. They have Open Jams Sunday nights (and we've attended those also). Bands on the weekend. Good food and drink specials, low key casual environment. This place has a nice friendly crowd and seems to have a pretty constant customer base with people flowing in and out regularly. read more

Ate here on a whim while in downtown Gresham. I had the Monte Cristo and my mother enjoyed her Reuben. I have to commend them for having a Monte Cristo on the menu at all, most sandwich places don't. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the sandwich and loved the cole slaw (made in house along with the potato salad). I would definitely go here again. Service was awesome too. read more

Breakfast was okay. I came here with my husband and child thinking we would only be here for 40 minutes, at the most. We were served pretty fast but after we got our food and finished we waited 20 minutes to get a check and pay. We had other plans that we had to cancel because of the wait. A couple that was seated next to us left the establishment because they never had their order taken. All the staff was very sweet but had no sense of urgency when it came to serving their customers. We used to love going to the M&M for breakfast on Sundays, but not any more. We were in the lounge and the bar tender / waitress ignored our "order up" so she could pet somebody's dog. She kept waiting on the gamblers and ignoring the people who were ordering food. She had to be "reminded" TWICE about our order. When it arrived, the food was lukewarm. Crapy service, cold food = unhappy customers and NO TIP! We are never going back to the M&M, not after today. read more

My Third time here, the third time I left thinking "this is a great place." First time I saw a great band here, Sandy Saunders Band, came back once more for breakfast which was well priced and big! I'd recomend it. The 3rd time was after I'd seen flyers saying the same band was coming back. The place was very busy, lots of folks to see the band and the staff was working hard to keep up but doing a good job of it. Only had drinks, but they were good pours. In my personal opinion about the M&M restaurant, they have really good food, but one of the waitresses, an older lady, refused to stick up for me, when I was eating a Caesar Salad. I didn't say or do anything. But a friend of the waitress said something mean and offensive about what I look like. I am a disabled person and can't help what I look like. Fantastic food and Service- we came in to a nearly empty restaurant and thought that it wouldn't be great since it was so empty. But the service was great- our waitress was attentive and funny. My bf and I love this place. The food is delicious and the service is great. Best drinks in town as far as we are concerned.
