This place is quite good. Reminds me of east coast style mex joint. My wife is very picky about the enchiladas and margarita factory meets her standards. I find the reviews very misleading referring to price. This is a beautiful place with high quality ingredients, rent is probably astronomical. The price is there, it is spendy compared to most Mexican, but it definitely stands out. The queso is by far the best in town, most places just can't seem to get it right. Generally do to go, but the service I've had has always been good. Keep up the good work and thank you for bringing some quality to Gresham read more

Everything is bigger in Texas, but the location in Gresham lives up to the same hype. The inside is decorated for fun. They take big groups, and with the amount of alcohol in the margaritas, it can get a bit rowdy. The portions are massive. I have tried a bit of everything on the menu, and nothing has been disappointing. They can make most of their drinks without alcohol and they still taste great. Be prepared for a bit of sticker shock. The margs run about $20 for a plain one, and the fun ones are closer to $25. Oh and a side of sour cream is going to cost your left arm. read more

Food is so amazing! my favorite is the cast iron steak nachos. the steak is so tender and delicious. chunky guacamole is also a favorite along with a Mercedes margarita made with mango, jalapeños and cucumbers. History

Jorge and Betty, along with Edgar's parents Jose and Maria Castro, began their career in Guadalajara, an international destination for Mexican cuisine. The base of every Margarita Factory recipe comes from Jose, who Jorge credits as being the greatest influence on his restaurants. Although his parents have formally stepped down from the business, Jose still comes in to cook several hours a day, and both parents are always ready to step up and pitch in when needed. The Margarita Factory restaurants were built on a foundation of faith and family, as well as an enduring drive to overcome adversity. Edgar Castro, Jorge and Betty's brother, battled cancer, and as soon as he felt well enough, he was back to work managing the Mill Plain Margarita Factory -- this time with even more drive, determination, and passion.

I ordered up sparking water to was down the guacamole and salsa with freshly cooked tortilla chips. M ordered up a mango margarita, it had a full rim of salt and spices, looks good. My Linner was a baja taco, one shrimp, one fish, M ordered the shrimp and cheese taco. I had to ask that the shrimp in our tacos would be shell off, our server confirmed, shell less. I asked because most of the photos on the menu show the shrimp with head, without head but all with shell on...I prefer not to fuss with peeling the just cooked hot shrimp. The guac was really fresh and good, the chips a bit over cooked. Then the drinks arrived and the entree's followed shortly there after Plain and simple three various taco's with some tasty refried & whole beans with your standard orange Spanish rice....hum. I guess it's a toss up on the rice, a unique almost Spanish rice with a flavor twist or the comfortable, household, everyday orange Spanish rice that won't scare anyone away. The taco's were great, fat with plenty of the larger shrimp (with no shell) cabbage and other stuff to fill the tortilla. We all enjoyed our meal and I would certainly entertain a return visit if we lived closer. But, Not one bit of bacon or actual sausage did i find ? It was pretty disappointing. I expected to get some real bacon pieces, and real sausage in there .. am i wrong to expect that ? The price wasn't exorbitant, so i guess theres that. As a child I was saw the world with so much wonder and awe, the world was such a big place, there were so many mysteries to be carefully analyzed and solved. After a long day of exploration and expanding one's mind I was always hungry and would come home to fresh, home cooked meals courtesy of my mother. It was the feeling of "wholeness" in her food that stuck in my mind for years to come, as no fast food ever had that fulfilling feel to it when consumed. After coming to Mojave, which ironically was a recommendation from my mother, I was at a loss of words. They may be somewhat pricey, but sweet baby jesus, that GUACAMOLE. I am not a man of God but DAMN this guacamole must have been crafted by none other than Zeus himself! It wasn't nearly as chunky as the picture on the menu made it seem, however, the textures and flavors of the guacamole made up for that and more. The service was pretty good, but in all honesty, I came for the food not the service. On another note, there were a few people in the bar who smelled strongly of "herbs" and I think its great that Mojave accepts it with the new recreational laws coming in June. Hopefully someday there will be a Mojave on every corner, keep Oregon green! read more

What a great example of a mighty fine business. I'm not a yelper who gives out 5 star reviews easily and It was not in my plans to come here, it was suggested to me by a friend. First impression was the layout and how it flowed, and how every seat had some king of privacy in mind when organizing. Most small places just want to cram people together, which can feel a bit uncomfortable and thus shortens ones stay. I could tell that a lot of thought went into every detail in this restaurant. Even the bar seats are very comfortable. I was there for happy hour and it was pretty busy, but we didn't feel rushed to order. Food is fantastic! great quality of beef and well seasoned makes this a winner. Seriously it's better than most. read more

Went in to celebrate a friends birthday. It was on a Saturday at 4:30pm. We wanted a reservation for 8. Because they had so many reservations already they wouldn't let us make one. Thus the 4 stars. The server was nice, pretty prompt, good at keeping the iced tea full and the drinks coming to the table. The food was excellent, though next time I'll get the jalapeños on the side as there were more than I would've liked. They got a couple other food orders mixed up, but everyone seemed happy. This local Mexican chain is genuinely impressive! I've visited the Vancouver locations, but this one truly stood out. I immediately loved the vibrant atmosphere and the clever layout of the space. There is absolutely no dish in your entire life that could prepare you for the Chunky Guacamole at Mojaves Grill & Cantina, the guacamole had a fresh, lemony taste and had the most perfect texture to it. And the desserts were to DIE FOR. Literally. The deep fried ice-creams were the perfect size to still be able to finish after the main course. My wife and I continue to return to Mojave. We have gone in for lunch, dinner, happy hour or just to enjoy a sporting event. On many occasions, we invite others to join us. She loves the chips, salsa and chunky guacamole while waiting for our food. The generous portions are always more than enough. The staff has always taken very good care of us. When you order Taco's there you get charged for the condiments. For a Large Cadillac Margarita I don't care what it cost but put the Grand Marne in it please. I shouldn't have to ask twice for it. The bill for two people to eat and a couple of cocktails is 90.00. But I had to pay extra for sour cream. REALLY. I will go back but I wont pay for condiments again that is for sure. read more

I chose the Empanada de Camaron: 4 fried turnover Empanada stuffed with cheese, shrimp, and vegetable sofrito (mixed with aromatic ingredients then sautéed), accompanied with Mexican sauce. Hubby picked the Chile Relleno: Poblano chili pepper, stuffed with mixed cheese and potato, battered in whipped egg then deep-fried to a golden brown and bathed in delicious tomato sauce. Both were delicious! The relleno was served with rice pilaf with mixed vegetable, he said he didn't care too much for that. I only ate only one of my empanada, because I was filling up with my chips & enjoying my salsa, but I wasn't really hungry. I took the rest home, for later. I love the sauce! I told Adriana, and she said: Oh! You didn't want that? I tried to tell her: I'd like it to go. (I have a feeling we're having problem communicating, she's very nice, though). The service: We were talked to by 4-5 different servers who asked us how we were doing. One: I asked if I could have mild salsa sauce, and she said: No, those were the choices they all have. A few minutes later, I asked a bus boy, but he asked someone else (who spoke English), and he - Alexander - he delivered a warm salsa to our table. He came back again, to ask how it was. The 5th girl who showed up at our table, mentioned to her about our anniversary. Towards the end, we did get a complimentary flan (thank you), but both of our water glass were empty, and we didn't get a refill, we're done. The restroom were clean, and I love the decor of the restaurant, specially the fresh flowers on each table.
