    Lemonade flight

We have had just terrible luck getting decent prime rib lately. We thought we would give the roadhouse a try and we were pleasantly surprised. We like the steak cooked medium rare and that is really hard for a lot of restaurants to give us. Roadhouse did it perfectly. Really enjoyed all of the sides and the delicious dinner rolls. We had the spiked lemonade flight in the cute little mason jar glasses, and it was delicious. The only reason I am not giving it five stars is the service was slow and it just looked rundown. I think it may need to be a little bit updated or replace the junkie menus. We will definitely be back regardless of the ambience. They sure know how to cook a good steak there.

I just wanted to have a good steak and decided to try out this place. We went there for dinner during a week night and the lot was already full of cars. We were seated right away. And bread came right after. The bread looked really good, but I didn't have any due to eating low carb at the moment. It was a bit dark in there but I was fine with that. Lots of wood surrounded the place. Good sized place with a lot of seating. Our waited was super nice, checked on us often, and answered all of our questions. There was a lot to choose from the menu but I ended up going with tri-tip, steak with deep fried garlic green beans and coleslaw. It was all really good. Them deep fried green beans were so good. And they were not shy with the garlic. The meat was delish and full of flavor. While the coleslaw was pretty mild, it was a refreshing end to my dinner. I left there full and satisfied. I'm thinking about my next order. Can't wait to dine there again.

Roadhouse grill has been a part of Gresham since the early 90s. Not to be confused with, 'Texas Roadhouse', this is the only one of its kind. Located off Burnside in a pretty busy traffic area, the parking lot is relatively big, but when it's full, you know it's packed. I've had different experiences each time and never know what we'll get. Some good, some bad.. they did get a revamp a few years back which helps with their appearance, the prices though, are a little steep. We haven't been in awhile, and everything was just ok. The main reason why we craved Roadhouse was for their delicious complimentary rolls. With (honey) butter. Comes super warm and melts in your mouth. And actually, Roadhouse was known for broken peanuts everywhere, like alllll over the floor. Yep, you get a bowl full of peanuts to snack on, and y'all just threw the broken shells on the ground. Imagine the floor covered in peanut shells x 100, and the crunch stepping on them (haha). After our recent visit, we didn't notice the mess, so I think they aren't doing that anymore. What a great (messy) tradition that the workers are probably very happy ended. Service was great, attentive and our main server was friendly. Our steak was a little over cooked, but good, I had the shrimp and it was pretty good, too. I feel like the sides is what pushes the bill over. I got one of their bootleg drinks and it was pretty delicious, but it tasted like a different drink on the menu, still got the job done. I think Roadhouse is a restaurant you can 'experience' once in awhile. They have a pretty good selection of barbecued (and non) items that everyone can try.

Food was good. The fried garlic was still raw. The burger was cool to temp. The server was attentive. Tried to make it easier on her to tell her what condiments we would need upfront but she still forgot. The ambiance was quiet as the restaurant nearly empty because they closed in two hours. Overall a pleasant experience.

Pretty average food and service. Ribeye steak was tough and not super flavorful. Will not go again.

It's near impossible to find restaurants that make your money worth it and Sayler's does that by always giving you sides of bread, salads, veggies and more. The steaks are great, sides are great and they even have oyster shooters. Sometimes I've ended up with a ribeye with too much fat, but I personally love steak fat so it's not the biggest deal to me. They do a great job at achieving medium rare/rare. The ambience is moody and rustic, the parking is relatively easy even on busy nights, and I've always had great service. There were many large seating area available. One main cedar table was a big attraction. There is a fireplace with a table by it We got a table. I ordered a Borgona, fruit puree juices mix with Sprite. Never had one, but sounded really good. It came and it was delicious and fruity for a mocktail. We ordered a shrimp ceviche and octopus skewers to start out with. The Shrimp Ceviche was very delicious and it was something that I was very happy to share it with my friends. It was a big portion of shrimp cocktail with salsa on the bottom and these large sized blue chips. It was so good that we ate it quickly. Octopus skewers was a tad charred. Yet very delicious especially if you eat it with the pineapple together. Brings out the flavor of the pineapples quite well. We ordered the Pork Belly Tacos and Mole Shrimp Tacos which came in 3. I absolutely loved street tacos filled with good fresh ingredients. And both of these hot the spot. The pork belly was an absolute great flavor of the pork belly. The Shrimp was delicious. Cook perfectly and easy to devour quickly. DeFuego Nachos had Jalapenos. But wasn't listed. The nachos were delicious and it was quickly devoured. Wings came in 4 wings with garlic parmesan with carrots and celery and ranch on the platter. Heavily garlic on the wings yet very delicious. Half wedge salad was a surprise how much there is in the salad. A lot of fresh veggies there with cherry tomatoes and sliced radishes in it. I had a absolutely fun experience celebrating my birthday here. DeFuego had Happy Hour from 3pm to 6pm, seven days out of the week. Seems the Happy Hour here is very popular. You have 21 appetizers to choose from on the Happy Hour Menu. There are Mocktails, and any drinks you want available. Definitely will come back again.

I ordered 2 things and both came out wrong. Our waitress spoke very loudly and we could hear her having long personal conversations with people a couple tables away from us for 10+ minutes at a time, several times. While we waited for her, we ran out of water a few times and I had to ask for more. It was over an hour before our order was even taken. We did flag her down to order an appetizer, brussel sprouts with cheese on the side due to a dairy allergy, but... the sprouts came out with cheese on them. They corrected this fairly promptly, but then we sat for another 45 minutes before our order was actually taken. I ordered a steak as "somewhere between medium & medium well" and she correctly repeated my order back to me "medium/medium well." When the steak came out, it was WELL well done. Like, burnt. I wanted to send it back, but I didn't want to deal with the embarrassment or have to wait even longer for food. We were about an hour & 45 minutes into dinner by the time we got our food. I was so disappointed! I also wanted to get dessert to celebrate the occasion but the service was SO slow that we had to cancel our after-dinner plans. We ordered it anyway & requested the check promptly, giving up on our plans for the rest of the evening. We were only a party of 2, we arrived early for our reservation, & we watched several larger parties come and go while we waited for our order to even be taken. It was a Wednesday night and not overly busy, there were several empty tables, so I'm not sure what the hold up was. We were also seated at an odd table next to the kitchen with a small divider between us and the staff. It was noisy and I even heard 2 staff members exchange a joke about how someone else had left & said they'd never come back. They laughed about it. I wish I had the guts those people had to get up & leave! I've never once left less than a 20% tip and felt immense guilt not tipping well, but after experiencing the poor service then also hearing the staff blatantly acknowledge it & not care.... I was appalled. The Hilton bought the hotel attached to De Fuego and I'm shocked. This was a Monarch hotel before and I'd assume that the Hilton's standards would be higher but the service and quality here have tanked hopelessly low since the acquisition. I had a similar experience at The Underground before it closed. I've learned my lesson & won't come here for a special occasion again.

You can absolutely smell the fish and vinegar as soon as you walk through the door, which I think gives the place a very homey pub feel. I ordered a spiked peach Arnold Palmer, which I enjoyed (and it was pleasantly strong) and a glass of the house white, which was good for the price. Our server was very fast and attentive. To eat I got the tomato soup with a grilled cheese, which was absolutely fantastic. The soup was so creamy and flavorful, and I cannot imagine a better meal after spending all day walking outside in the rain. The fries were super crispy and I liked the batter. My partner and I shared some of their breadsticks, which were deliciously baked (fresh!) and came with a super refreshing basil crema and a nice tomato-y dip. Wonderful all. My partner ordered fish and chips, and was surprised to find that it is one large fillet of fish, not multiple pieces like you would typically expect. He said the fish was fine, but a little tough. Overall, a wonderful experience. I definitely hope to return. I highly recommend this place as a refuge during the cold winter months!
