Terrible Steaks. It was dry and tough. The worst part was, I got my steak rare. There shouldn't be a reason why it was so dry. My dad had the barbecue and that was pretty dry also. If I could give negative stars, I would. We came here to eat and the busyness level I would say was normal for dinner. We were seated then ignored. As we waited for our waiter, we watched as numerous waitress walk by and not pay us any attention. Watched other people sit down and be helped right away. So as we watched this for 15 minutes we decided to leave. As we were leaving and stopped by the hostess booth and got a lovely eye roll from the hostess for telling her what happened. My husband and I went here today for happy hour dinner. I had the bacon wrap filet, med rare. My steak was the best one I've had in a very long time.My husband had the bbq.ribs,chicken and pulled pork, it was so good he had sauce all over his face! We also got the house salad with their blue cheese dressing. That could be a meal itself. Their dressing was thick and delicious, not thinned out like some places do. Then there was the loaded baked potato that will be my dinner tomorrow. Not sure what happened in the long renovation, but the food still tastes good, so no worries! I love their Cajun burger and their strawberry lemonade. The lemonade has actual fruit in it, a sugar rim, and refills are free. I don't know what it is about dropping peanut shells on the ground, but it's surprisingly fun! I will say this, make sure you have your ID with you! I went with four family members one night and there was a 30 minute wait. We found a table in the bar and decided to sit there so we wouldn't have to wait so long; we weren't planning on ordering drinks. It was just about the full 30 minutes before the bartender came over to take our order (told us several times before this she'd be right over). She then proceeded to ask for my ID, as I'm visibly the youngest (thanks to my baby face!). I didn't bring my purse that night, so she had us all leave the bar. Her and the hostesses got it handled and got us seated at a table next to the bar, but "outside" it, without a fuss, which we were very grateful for! I understand the liquor commission restrictions and we were all okay with that. The only problem we had is that we had waited so long, just to be told she couldn't help us, despite her acknowledging my presence beforehand. Roadhouse is always a safe and enjoyable eating experience, by safe I mean I always enjoy my meal. Tonight our server Sam was spot on with arguably the best bread and butter of any restaurant in Portland area. My meal tonight was the Jim Beam Ribeye with the mashed potatoes as a side and salad. My steak was cooked as ordered and always very tasty. My server Sam kept my drink filled and the only complaint our table had was the mashed potatoes though very delicious they had lots of butter and salt so no one could actually eat all of them, overall a fantastic meal with good friends and great service. read more

Not a place I will be coming to twice that's for sure. First of all, the host was on the phone and as soon as we walked in she turned around not facing us. A server had to come and seat us, she didn't know where she was going. We sat for about 9 minutes before we were "greeted". Server didn't introduce herself, didn't make our visit personal. The ribs were terrible, the "sweet" potato was a potato with brown sugar and butter, the green beans were still very cold in the middle. I was not happy with my visit. Not a great experience. I left thinking this is why I don't eat out that often. Indifferent service, didn't take salad plates away and no refill offers. A dirty towel on the floor in by the hostess station and two large tables in the main dining area that were both full of dirty dishes. One of them never got cleaned while we were there and there were people waiting to be seated when we are left. Really felt like no one was in charge and no one really cared. This is actually the worst and overpriced restaurant i've ever been to. My friends and I ordered a bison burger, which was DEFINITELY not worth the price. The meat was extremely dry and I promise on my life i've never tasted such a plain burger before, especially it being $12.99. The bison burger was super small, even my carl's jr burger that I had the other day was bigger and more tasty... I honestly couldn't believe it. Two of my friends asked for an extra patty, guess what..... the price is $10.99 just to add an extra one. They might as well have ordered ANOTHER whole burger! One of my friends called out one of the waitresses, and guess what she told him? "Let me ask you something, are you having a bad day?" This waitress literally had to nerve to ask if my friend was having a bad day, just because we were just telling her how bad the burger was. At first we thought it was a joke, but NOPE. On 01/28/17 thought we would try the roadhouse after the 3 month remodel at 5:00 ordered the prime rib special over half was fat told the manager he gave me an attitude said that's how prime rib is so he took it and got me the sirloin it was almost well done should of been med rare broccoli was cold think he saved it from first plate when I asked the waitress about the meat she said the cooks were new service was slow will not go back for a while read more

Nicole was great! Not sure about the remodel but super happy to have the Roadhouse back to the way it was years ago. I was super nervous about ordering my favorite drink, it got really gross tasting about a year ago. However our awesome waitress Nicole assured me it was better and it definitely was. We celebrated our anniversary tonight at roadhouse. After being closed for a long remodel, we were surprised to get a booth at the bar in the first 5 minutes and pleased at the quick service. They were extremely busy, but our server Rachael was fabulous. Despite the tables she had, she was professional, informed on the menu, and the food was fantastic. Updates to the restaurant (no more going up steps to the bar) were fabulous. The host Chase asked what we needed when the server was busy, and Kim (social media consultant) also stopped by to see how we were doing. Service was terribly slow. Waited almost an hour for our food. But besides that we ordered a chicken salad and a sirloin medium rare. Sirloin came well done and I was only served the end pieces already cut up. It was like they took the medium rare middle pieces and put it on somebody's salad or something/ The chicken for my partners salad was not done at the time we were served our meals, so they brought the overcooked dry chicken half way through our meal. The server did not come back to see how anything was besides quickly dropping the chicken off. We still like to tip 20% because the server is not the cook. However the server brought us our change in only 20's and left us nothing smaller to even tip her with. Overall dissatisfied with the whole experience. Will not be back. read more
