I must suggest the El Diablo Shrimp Pasta. It definitely packs the heat but with tons of flavor. Very authentic. Oh...and it's best washed down with a Sangria Blanco or two ;-) This was my first time at Oregano's. I went with a couple friends for a friend's birthday dinner (at her request). The service was fast, courteous, & friendly. It has a great family/neighborly vibe with very positive & fun energy of the staff. For what it is, it's one of the best, a Spaghetti and Pizza joint. The food is always well prepared and tasty. I especially like the thin crust pizza. Agh... a little disappointed. I usually go to the cave creek location or the bell road location. This was my first time coming to this location. Fist I have to say the server was awful. Very unpleasant. I did get her name but do not want to put her on blast. When we were seated she came and took our drink order and asked us what we wanted to order. My boyfriend told her we haven't even opened the menu yet to give us a few minutes. Her response was for us to call her over when we are ready which I thought was odd. I've never had to personally call over a server. Usually they approach me. Second thing, I'm so disappointed in the portion size. I'm not sure if it's because of Covid or what but I remember the pasta size being HUGE but not anymore. When I got my food I was a little shocked. I always get the el Diablo shrimp pasta. I remember this pasta being a cream pasta. It was not. It was a lite clear sauce which was different. It was still good just not as good as what I've had. Next we ordered a pizooki. My goodness!!! I remember ordering these in the past and they were out in 5 minutes. It took at least 30 minutes to get a cookie. Thank goodness the cookie was super delicious. By that time we were so over it we just wanted to check out. It took the girl 15 minutes to get the bill plus another 15 minutes to slide our card. What a disappointment. My bf and I are those people who tip double or at least 40% and on a holiday we tip the tab amount. Really fun and energetic atmosphere, friendly staff and great food. None of us at the table of five ordered pizza, all pasta dishes and we weren't disappointed. If I could give less than one star I would. We signed up for yelp after our server rudely suggested we do so after our poor experience the other night. We waited a while, as we normally do when we choose to come to oreganos. Not a big deal until this time. Service was mediocre at best... kind of joking, my buddy asked where are regular server, Kristen was- because she is amazing- the server smirked and said she got fired and then she suggested we needed to yelp about it. First of all if Kristen seriously got fired, then shame on you, oreganos, because she is the reason we chose your place. Second of all regardless of this being true- to the horrible server that offered that information, you need to be stalking shelves somewhere and not serving people. At ALL. This isn't something that should be shared with customers. However now that we know this we won't be back. So here's the yelp review you asked for. Save your money and go somewhere else. We come here because the service is usually great, and the food is a 6/10. Service and experience always makes up for shitty food. We were totally disappointed. No manager came to our table and no one seemed to care. This place used to be amazing. This place smells great before you walk in the door! The bar was packed and so was the dining area - apparently others had the right idea, too! My group ordered fried or baked raviolli, a large Julius Cesear salad with the dressing on the side, and a medium Bistro Classic pizza, half with very little cheese. First, the order was done perfectly. There was even extra marinara without charge that came along with the baked raviolli. The pizza did come with half light cheese, too. The most impressive part of this midday meal was the salad, a hill of romaine lettuce, parmesean cheese and the best croutons I've ever tasted. Although it was a little early in the day, the Dirty Monkey was freaking awesome and packed a nice little punch to help me get on with the rest of my day. Without a doubt, I would return here with a group of people to share similar foods. The reason it was not five stars is because there was cheese on everything, so if you don't do well in the lactose-digesting department you may want to make sure you can handle it that day. The second issue was for some reason the pizza crust seemed like it was sweet. I've never heard of a sweet flat crust before, but the garlic on the pizza certainly masks the sugary crust. Me and my college buddies come here for a delicious, cheap, filling meal. We get the endless Bollo pasta every time. You get a lot of variety in pasta type and sauces. We usually pound 3 bowls in the restaurant and take one back to the dorms, all for $9? Can't beat it. My family and I LOVE Oregano's! We have come here for years and always have a pleasant experience. The staff is friendly, the food is great, and the restaurant itself is clean. Usually this restaurant is very busy, but you can drink while you wait! Fabulous margaritas, and the best ravioli I have ever had -- it's huge! Also, the caesar salad is amazing. The pizza is great, but surprisingly not my favorite since I'm not the biggest fan of the thin-crust variety. Finish off the meal with a delicious pizzookie, and you are good to go! :-) read more

I've been a huge fan of Oregano's for over 20 years and think their pizza is as good as it gets in Phoenix. However, the location on Camelback Rd needs a management change. The staff, cleanliness and food quality here falls way, way below every other location I've dined with in the past. They have completely botched my last three consecutive carry-out orders. I completely looked the other way on the first one. The second one was pretty annoying (especially after having to repeat the order three times over the phone)--but still, no complaint from me. Jenny introduced me to Oregano's not long after we started dating. I'm not a big fan of chains or franchises -- even smaller ones -- but I'm also committed to giving any place a chance. Since that rainy day introduction some (three?) years ago, I've never really had a 'bad' Oregano's experience. But, that being said, part of the Oregano's experience is the long dining time which, on a weekend, generates longer waits for a table. So that's Oregano's. The Camelback location has been our 'home' Oregano's since we moved to Phoenix. The parking here is a little tight and you'll often find yourself pulling up to the curb on one of the streets behind the restaurant. But the staff is great and there is adequate seating for your pre-meal wait. That all said, my go-to here is the meatball sub or the Big Bambino salad. The BigBam is sooooooo good and I like that the portions are sized to share. read more

So this place is one of the few places in town where I'd refer people to go if they wanted to get a Chicago style pizza. It's freaking delicious! On this particular visit, I had a monster salad and my daughter had a spicy pasta. Service was great as we started out on the patio and moved inside where our server helped us get situated (I forgot about my daughter's fear of birds...IDK...don't ask me??). Wasn't able to tackle the whole salad so I packed it up to go and then made plans for my follow up visit to get my cheat meal pizza later that week. The Cheese literally oozes out of the Stuffed Deep Dish pizza onto the table... Literally! If you love Cheese, You will love there stuffed deep dish! The food is normally really good. The service on my last visit was okay, but it was sad that the bar server wasn't quick enough to know that a five and five ones equals ten. Yikes. Also, something has happened to the Bellini. It's weird. It's too sweet and actually tastes like there's aspartame or some fake sweetener in there. Yuck. Another customer said "some magic was lost there". Change in Bellini recipe confirmed by server other than the one who can't count to ten. I order a side salad, which, thank goodness, was only $3.99. The thin slice of tomato was old and shriveled looking. The bleu cheese dressing was about a tablespoon in volume, the croutons were mushy. The server asked how the salad was, I told her, and she just turned around and left. I'm glad she doesn't get flustered, but some care would be nice. I left most of the salad and was still charged. It was not a busy night. Please train your people better. This woman was absolutely clueless and about as charismatic as a doorknob. read more

Runs my card and comes back and asks for my i.d.??? He didn't ask anyone around me when they left for their id? What if i had been getting food for my boss and had his credit card? Why me? We love oregano's! My wife and I went there on our first date, and we go back for every special occasion. We went there after I surprised her by proposing. We go back for every anniversiary, and we went there the day we found our new home. Overall, it's a very important restaraunt for us and the staff are always very welcoming. The last time we were there, they even gave us a pizza cookie. Our waitress was Sara who was super nice. We arrived at 4:30 today on a Thursday evening and noticed it was pretty busy. We put our name down, had a table for 4 and it was a 40 minute wait time so I looked at it as a good thing. If you have to wait 40 minutes on a Thursday than people are coming here for a reason. When we were seated it was a pretty good atmosphere, very nice, clean and our table was a half circle table with loads of room. My oldest son and I ordered the Big Beef sandwich and my wife had a pasta dish with a mushroom sauce. My youngest son had the shrimp scampi. The sandwich I had was phenomenal, I mean every bite was tasty, the bread was crispy on the outside and soft in the middle but the havrati cheese and spice from the pablano peppers was the key here. Usually a huge fan of this place, in fact it's one of the only chain restaurants I'm a big fan of but tonight was pretty disappointing. Food was good, service was terrible. Feeling rushed the 35-40 minutes we were there was not very accommodating. I had to ask 3 times to give us a few minutes to look at the menu, this all being in the first two minutes we were there. Dinner came and as soon as our plates were delivered we were asked if we were going to have a pazooki and what kind so our server could put in our order right away.
