I've been coming to Omeli since the beginning--back when it was a hidden gem--but today was easily the WORST experience I've ever had. We placed a to-go order and waited an eternity while watching the dining room clear out. When I asked to switch to dine-in since tables were open, I was told our food was "already packed" and couldn't be served at a table. About 10 minutes later, I was still waiting for that "packed" food. After asking a different server to check, she pulled our bag from off the kitchen floor. It had been sitting there the whole time, completely ignored. To make matters worse, no one apologized for the wait or the unsanitary handling of our food. Being there with two small children made the lack of care even more disappointing. I won't be returning. read more

A relatively new fusion restaurant that does it pretty well! I'd recommend it if you're in the neighborhood but wouldn't go out of the way for it. Garlic noods: Get? The garlic noodles were tasty as Im a sucker for anything noodly. But paired with their green sauce and it's just delicious... I had to ask for more!! HOWEVER, the salmon that we got was very disappointing, overcooked, and small. If the plain garlic noods are 12 dollars and this was almost 20, then that's definitely not worth it. Either they messed up this one or I'd choose a different meat Lomo Saltado: Get! Of course if you're here for a lil bit of Peruvian then get this. Stir fry meat with fries and fun crunchy veggies. It's a bit oily but besides that its a very enjoyable hearty dish. Which is fine, but why bother asking how we want it cooked? Lmao the garlic noodles were also okay. Tasted homemade. As in I wouldn't come here for them. You can literally make the same product at home and it wouldn't be as dry. Cajun prawns were okay as well. Nothing spectacular. Looked good though. Soft shell crab curry: our biggest issue. What a fire fusion spot! This place fuses Peruvian flavors and Vietnamese. We came on Saturday at 1 pm and the restaurant was full, so we already had high expectations. Everyone was getting the lomo saltado so that definitely was a must try. I ended up trying out these items. Tofu Spring Roll - For tofu this spring roll was very tasty. Peanut sauce was on point. It's a good basic spring roll. (4/5) Bun Tom Nuong - This was a pretty basic Bun. Big difference from other places is that it came on a plate vs a bowl. It's good and shrimp pieces were big. It's more noodles than meat content tho. (5 shrimps) (4/5) Lobster Garlic Noodles - Very reasonable amount of lobster and the noodles were fire. Flavors were good and textures on point. (5/5) Lomo Saltado - Fries were crispy and flavorful from the sauce. Meat chunk portion was a little small but meat was so tender. It's a pretty big portion so thought it was worth. (5/5) Drinks - We got both guanabana fruit tea and tra le chi. Both tasted similar and good. Not overly sweet but I loved the fruit in both. (5/5) Overall I personally enjoyed the Peruvian food more than the Vietnamese food here but they are both good. Prices for Vietnamese food is more on the pricey side at $15-$17 so that's why I thought the Peruvian food were much more worth it because you can get good Vietnamese food elsewhere. OMELI is a great spot for eating with friends or family -- big parking lot, friendly staff, and easily movable tables (so they were able to easily seat larger parties). My friends and I shared the lomo saltado, eggrolls, and oxtail fried rice and agreed the lomo saltado was our favorite. The beef was super tender, we got plenty of green sauce, and the sauce was both sweet and savory. We were a little surprised by the fried rice because it tasted quite differently from other fried rices and we think it was star anise we were tasting. We came here on a Tuesday night, and while it was decently packed, we were seated right away--always a good sign! The menu was filled with so many mouthwatering options that it was tough to choose. We finally decided on the oxtail fried rice, shaken beef garlic noodles, shrimp saltado, and combination pho. It's the same as other places. My lo enjoyed it. Grilled Salmon Garlic Noodles was my dish. When it came out it looked delicious, but the chef overly drenched the rice with too much sauce and it became salty. I didn't eat much of it, but I did love eating it at home, where I took a portion of the rice and mixed it with white rice. Then it became great! The salmon bites were crunchy and tasted good. All my veggies mixed in were fresh, and cooked well! The fries were not soggy- definitely made to order.The green sauce on the side was I think definitely the fusion of Vietnamese and Peruvian cuisine; it was more in the creamy side. The garlic noodles were a hit as well- very flavorful. The wontons were good, but our favorite would have to be the entrees. We had talked to one of the managers and learned that their meat supplier comes every other day so they try to maintain quality meats in their establishment so that it is rarely ever frozen. I always love an impromptu discovery of a great restaurant. Was on our way back from a road trip and looking for a convenient and quick stop for dinner. Thanks to Yelp, found Omeli tucked away in the corner of a strip mall. They still had their "Soft Opening" sign up from summer 2023 and it's well into January at this point. I've been to a number of vietnamese-peruvian fusion restaurants before but this place was something special. The selections on the menu were all great! I'm used to eating (and making my own) oxtail noodle soup (Pho Duoi Bo) but I've never had it as an oxtail fried rice. I decided to give that a try and was impressed by how they managed to maintain the tenderness and flavor of the oxtail in the dry entree. It was really well executed. The ribeye garlic noodles was a nice spin on the garlic noodle dishes you see popping up everywhere. They're not afraid to be creative with their menu, trying different combinations in their concoctions, and it's paying off. Even their drink options were appealing. I love peach puree, I love yuzu, and I love lemonade, put it all together and you get a nice deja-vu lemonade! Excited to see what new and interesting things they add to their menu. Been here once before and forgot to leave a review, I'm leaving one now after my second visit! This is the closest Pho restaurant near my apartment and it does not disappoint. The meat is tender and the broth is so flavorful. There is also unlimited noodle refill.
