According to our menu, seafoods included salmon, blue crab, albacore, yellowtail, scallop, toro, lobster, ikura, uni, sea bass, bluefin tuna, etcetera. A couple vegetarian options were available, as were beverages such as sake, wines, beers, and teas. My husband and I ate one lunch here. The seating hostess promptly and politely greeted and seated us. My husband and I wrote down the flavors and quantities of sushi that we wanted. The sushi chef provided very good service with making and serving our sushi and with checking in with us. We ate the salmon, crab, yellowtail, scallops (my husband's favorite!), toro, baked crab, and lobster. The total price was $100. Please note that this restaurant auto-adds a 20% tip and asks for more. read more

Excellent hand rolls. Got the Omakai deluxe which was the perfect amount of food. The negitoro with a caviar bump was the cherry on top. Good service, and casual vibe. Felt more like an SF restaurant vibe than Miami. It's all bar seating so good for solo dining or for parties of 2 or 3. If you have a large group, it's not the ideal spot. Came for a quick lunch and was pleasantly surprised! I got the OMA which includes 4 hand rolls. I also got the lychee and cake batter mochi. Everything was really good! My favorite was the blue crab handroll and the cake batter mochi. Something to note - This is the type of place you come with no more than 1-3 friends or alone because its bar seating only. Not great for a group. I was solo and it was nice because you dont feel awkward since there are others around who are also dining alone. The service was great and the servers always checked in on their guests if they needed anything. I love the concept of this place because it's bar seating only and i also love the minimal decor! Nice spot in downtown Miami! Very unassuming from the outside but the interior has a beautiful minimalist Japanese wooden design. It's a huge narrow bar seating which creates an authentic vibe. Only no real backrest on the seating if that's an issue for you. Seating was easy without a reservation and it filled up as I was there. Service was average. I felt the prices per what you get reasonable and you have good options. The food itself was tasty, albeit a little on the saucier/ maybe not as healthy for you side. I enjoyed mostly everything I got. All in all I would recommend and return. read more

I've tried several of the OMAKAI locations around town - but was so excited to try the new hand roll bar! Unlike other types of sushi, you really can't truly enjoy a hand roll from a delivery service and eating it truly fresh is the best way! My husband and I recently came and tried one of their preset menus; with five rolls, we were already pretty full - my personal favorites are the blue crab and bay scallop rolls! However, we still opted to try a few of their speciality rolls, like the sea bass and lobster. Overall, the happy prices are great, service is spot on, and I appreciate the paces courses! read more

Our waiter, Isaac, was incredibly kind and made the experience even better with his attentive service. The hand rolls were rolled just right, with crisp nori and generous portions of fish. It's the kind of spot you instantly want to come back to, and it easily deserves 5-star potential. That said, I have to knock off a star because the green onions completely overpower the flavors--a little goes a long way, and here, they were way too much. Also, their hand wipes are just not it. A small detail, but the cheap wipes bring down the whole premium experience. If they upgraded to those tiny hand wipes that expand in water, it would seriously elevate the overall vibe. I usually go for the Oma deluxe set, it comes with salmon, blue crab, yellowtail, scallops and negi-toro tuna. This most recent time, I found the rolls to be much smaller/narrow than in past times. There was definitely a bit less than usual. Service was good and we were in and out within 35 minutes. so fast!! and they were full during the lunch hour rush. Also note that I've learned since coming here is that I don't care for the albacore roll! Not for me, or my mom. It's like a weird smooth texture and just a no from us but some people like it. I was so excited to try this new hand roll bar, since I love the original Omakai spots. This location is right around the corner from all the popular restaurants and bars in Brickell so it's very easy to get to. The atmosphere is very clean and modern and it is counter top seating throughout the entire place. You are able to see the staff and chefs making the rolls from every seat and it's very accessible if you want to order another roll or get someone's attention. I went relatively early for happy hour, which begins at 3pm and it wasn't too crowded. It started to get more packed towards 6pm. The staff were extremely attentive and friendly. The menus were easy to read and it was very quick to ordering your food and then you were served almost immediately. There is flexibility on when you can order and how much, so depending on how you feel, you can go at whatever pace you're comfortable with. I enjoyed all the rolls, of course, but my favorite were the bay scallop, negi toro, hamachi, and salmon. I did try a couple of the specialty rolls which were tasty, but I think staying simple may be the move here. Some of the specialty rolls are doing too much and the prices are a little inflated. Overall, I am very impressed with this hand roll bar and cannot wait to come back very soon! read more

I think this is the first sushi place in Miami that I've really loved and haven't stopped thinking about! Sushi is always a hit or miss for me based on how fresh the fish is since I can get ick-ed out by raw fish based on the texture. I came for a friend's birthday dinner and we all got the Omakai Omakase set ($32) which came with 6 rolls chef's choice. All the rolls were AMAZING. There wasn't a single one I didn't like, but if I had to choose the bay scallop and the blue crab rolls stood out based on how unique the flavors were. The handrolls are made fresh in front of you so that the seaweed is still crunchy when you eat it. And it must be mentioned that the staff and chef making the rolls were so fun to talk to during the meal and the way the bar is set up makes it a great communal space. We all were full by the end of the service! Overall, I think this place is worth it for the quality of the food and the value. I would definitely go back! read more

The traffic never easy to go there however the place offers valet parking at 20$. Micheal the valet guy was very amazing. He is super helpful and friendly when we asked for directions. For business owners: when I walked in there is smell of vinegar or some sort of fish is there a way to improve it ? And if there is more fun variety of hand rolls I would love to try, like plantain w ell or hot sauce rolls like something more fun. read more
