Blackened Red Snapper
Mateo K.

We tried this place with some visiting family members on a Saturday evening with a reservation before a show at DCPA. We were seated in a private room which was very nice and quiet. The service was just okay for a restaurant with four dollar signs (should be five). I expect the very best food and service at this price point. I've had better service at family style restaurants. The goat cheese ravioli was good, but not worth $23. We also tried the Brussels, smoked Gouda tater tots, and the steak tartare, neither were exceptional. $10 for a mediocre, small, lukewarm bread basket is insane when you are already paying crazy prices to eat there. It should at least be fresh and hot. I tried the Blackened Snapper with Corn Spoon Bread, Haricot Verts, Red Pepper, Corn Emulsion. It was delicious and cooked well. Although it is pretty easy to make something taste good when it's literally swimming in a butter sauce pond. All in all it was an okay experience but was the most expensive food I've ever had. It was definitely not worth the almost $900 we spent for 7 people. I usually try to stick to family owned and small businesses, because corporate chains always seem to disappoint, and this one was not an exception. There are much better options at this price point in Denver.

Pretty easy to get a reservation. The place is more casual than any steakhouses Ive been to and the food is delicious. Crab cake was so good (will order again), scallops appetizer was a bit too rich for me, the fries are close to perfect (wish they were a bit crunchier but still great nonetheless). Blue cheese crust on my husbands steak was probably the best addition and version of blue cheese addition we've had recently--love that it's a bit burnt and crunchy! Wine list has great options...tried a few different ones on their "suggested prime menu" and the reds are worth it.

Really nice experience visiting. Had a party of 10 and they seated us in a private room. The wait staff was amazing and the food was superb!

Twin Lobster Tails

Got takeout and it was great. Twin lobster tails were tender, tasty, with plenty of butter on the side, and easy to eat. The chocolate torte was soooo delicious as well. Can't wait to order from here again.

Extremely Disappointing Experience at Ocean Prime Denver I never imagined I would witness something like this at a fine dining establishment, especially one with the reputation and price point of Ocean Prime in Denver. During our visit, I witnessed a dog eating directly off a restaurant dining plate. I was honestly shocked. While I have absolutely nothing against dogs, as I have a fur baby myself, there is a time and place for everything, and allowing an animal to eat directly from restaurant dinnerware raises serious concerns about sanitation and hygiene. When dining at an upscale restaurant, customers expect exceptional service, quality food, and, most importantly, high standards of cleanliness. My concern isn't about the dog being present. It's about the restaurant's responsibility to maintain appropriate sanitary standards for all guests. I brought the situation to the attention of our server, Oz. He checked with his manager and returned to tell us that it was acceptable because the dishwasher includes a sanitizing step. He then walked away. Approximately two minutes later, while we were still having our drinks and finishing our dessert, Oz returned and asked whether we wanted to order anything else or if he should bring the check. We felt rushed and as though we were being pushed out of the establishment. That made me feel even worse about bringing the issue to their attention, as though I were in the wrong for raising a legitimate sanitation concern. I understand that dishes are washed and sanitized between uses, but witnessing a dog eat directly from restaurant dinnerware, followed by the dismissive response and the way we were treated afterward, left me questioning how situations like this are handled and what policies are actually in place. For a restaurant of this caliber, I would expect better oversight, clearer boundaries, and a more professional response to customer concerns. Ocean Prime Denver, is this an acceptable practice at your establishment? I'm genuinely interested in hearing how management addresses situations like this because customers deserve to feel confident about the cleanliness of the dishes they're eating from, and respected when they bring concerns to the staff's attention.

Black Orchid cocktail

What an exceptional dining experience from start to finish! We chose to sit outside on the beautiful patio, which created the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing evening. The meal began with complimentary truffle popcorn, a thoughtful touch that was absolutely delicious. For starters, we enjoyed the Caesar salad and french onion soup, both of which were outstanding. The Caesar was fresh and flavorful, while the french onion soup was rich, comforting, and perfectly prepared. For my entrée, I ordered the sea bass with truffle oil, and it was cooked to perfection. The fish was incredibly tender and flavorful, and the truffle oil elevated the dish beautifully without overpowering it. The Black Orchid Martini was equally impressive--a perfect balance of tart and sweet, refreshing and expertly crafted. It was easily one of the best cocktails I've had. A special thank you to our server, Mark, who made the experience even more memorable. He was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, offered excellent recommendations, and provided attentive, professional service throughout the meal. Between the lovely patio setting, outstanding food and drinks, and exceptional service, this was a truly five-star experience. I can't wait to return!

Warm Butter Cake

We chose Ocean Prime to celebrate our 10-year anniversary, with my mother in law joining us. When we walked in, we were greeted warmly, though it seemed the staff was a bit puzzled at first. They escorted us upstairs to our table, and we noticed a few curious looks. It turned out my husband had noted our anniversary on the reservation, and since we were a party of three, no one was quite sure whose anniversary it was! Once we clarified, everyone laughed, and the ice was broken -- it made for a fun start to the evening. We started with drinks, and if you enjoy a good espresso martini, I highly recommend ordering one here -- perfectly balanced and delicious. For appetizers, I had the spicy tuna sushi, which was better than many sushi restaurants I've tried. For my entrée, I chose the grouper with homemade gnocchi -- absolutely incredible, even compared to some of the best seafood spots in Florida. My husband started with the creamy lobster bisque and also ordered the grouper, while my mother had the scallops, which were large and beautifully cooked. We finished the evening with their warm butter cake -- it literally melted in our mouths. The service throughout the night was attentive and impressive. As we drove home, we all said the same thing: "Why don't we come here more often?" Thank you, Ocean Prime, for an amazing evening and a memorable anniversary celebration.

Red Bird Farms Chicken

I very rarely order chicken when I eat out but I decided to try something different than times past while dining at OP. Let me say it did not disappoint. It was very juicy and flavorful. I am not a fan of chicken breasts but if they all tasted like this I would change my mind. :) Delicious!!! And the spinach bread salad was the perfect compliment to the dish. I sat at the bar and Mike was amazing. Gave great recommendations when ordering and was friendly and funny with everyone at the bar. A great meal for sure! @oceanprimelarimersquare, #oceanprime, #acameronmitchellreataurant, #greatfood

Always a fun place for good quality drinks and exceptional food , we sat in the bar area and enjoyed cocktails and champagne and complimentary truffle popcorn.

Buffalo Trace Old Fashioned -$20 - Excellent!

Came in with a party of four for a local business event. Had a great time, lots of options and took care of one person that had some dietary restrictions. I had the Salmon and it was large in size and definitely with a few shared sides plenty for me :-) Had the yummy Old Fashioned and service was top notch throughout our stay. Nice area around the location and would love to come back if in town. Prices are in line with other top locations around the country, and the service and options they provide :-)

Amazing atmosphere not only at its location with proximity to larimer square but also the decor and environment inside. Our server was great, very friendly and energetic but not overbearing either. Got us a few items waived with discount too. Food itself was also delicious. The warm bread basket was a big surprise, a variety of bread freshly made and extremely soft. Steak and sides were amazing!

I'm from the Bay Area me and friend went here to celebrate my birthday. It was both our first time eating at Ocean Prime Denver. After reading all the reviews, It did not disappoint. We were immediately greeted by host and asked for a table outside, but when it started to drizzle they accommodated us to inside no issues. Ben was our server, was very knowledge of menu. Often checked with us with a smile. We started with the goat cheese ravioli. Yum! We both had the fillet mignon steaks cooked to perfection. The baked potatoes were soft, fluffy buttery. I recommend the brussels sprouts for some greens. We were too full to eat dessert but Ben took care of this and provided a comped bday carrot cake for me to take home to enjoy. But why no happy birthday song bro??? Bottom line Great Service Great Food. Nuff said, just book your reservation already!

Bedlam was recommended to us for late night drinks by staff working in one of the restaurants at our hotel. During our short stay in Denver, we went to Bedlam twice. The first time was around 11:30 on a Thursday night. We had a few cocktails along with a cheese and charcuterie plate. The second time was around 12:30 on a Saturday night when we came in for a night cap. The first time we came in, it wasn't too busy, and we were encouraged to sit wherever we wanted. The bar was full so we chose a small table. Our server gave us menus, though specials were written on a chalkboard above the bar. We each tired a couple of cocktails and had a shot called the Master Shot. We also chose the make-your-own charcuterie board. Our favorite drink was the Woo Girl, which allowed us to choose our spirit of choice. I chose gin and my friend chose tequila. When we returned a couple of nights later, we knew already we were going to order the Woo Girl cocktail. It was packed on a Saturday night, but there was a small table in back where they seated us. This bar is more for spending time with the friends you come with, rather than mingling, as staff seats you at a table. It doesn't seem like they offer standing room or just squeezing in, though maybe we just didn't experience that. That said, all in all, I really enjoyed Bedlam and recommend it to anyone going to Denver.
