Computer was running slow so I called Mike at OC Tech Dr to help speed it up. After a quick analysis of why it was slow and what I do with the computer, he recommended I upgrade to an SSD drive. My problem is that I need the computer Mon thru Fri so he made a special arrangement to come over on a Saturday to clone my existing drive to the SSD (this takes several hours). So, long story short, my computer went from 5400 MPH to WARP 10!!! It screams with file transfers, apps run 100 times faster and restarts take seconds now apposed to minutes. I can't believe that a simple swap of storage could make a this big of a difference! My productivity has increased ten fold! I told Mike that I'm even going to save on coffee. Every so often I meet a person who reminds me that there are genuinely good people still left in the world (or in Orange County, anyway). The OC Tech Doctor was that person for me! I messaged Mike through Yelp and he responded very quickly and asked if he could give me a call. On the phone he walked me through my home network/WiFi setup and tried to troubleshoot why my speeds are so low (0.63 mbps upload and 4.34 mbps download). He was so kind about explaining my options and what I should do to get a new internet provider. Once we get the new network in place I intend on having Mike come to get us rockin and rollin on fast WiFi. I was having issues with my very slow computer and needed someone to speed it up. Mike is amazing! My external hard drive suddenly crashed recently and I lost ALL of my business and personal files that were on it. The drive wouldn't open and my heart almost stopped. Mike & Michael came in to set up back up drivers & batteries on our servers. They were true to their quote and after checking with two other companies, their pricing and time was fair. Our office has two servers and it was a mess to organize and work with, but they spent extra time cleaning the closet that houses our servers and organizing all of the cables (for a true picture of the mess - this was at least a decades worth of other people working on top of each other. The whole closet looked like an amateur MacGyver attempt). On top of doing a great job, they were super personable and checked back with us to make sure things were running as they should and answered all of the questions we threw at them. Our office hours were the same as their working hours, which I thought would make things complicated, but they were flexible in coming out after hours and working around our schedules.
