Shady business practices. Took my laptop for a water spill repair, they told me the motherboard was not repairable, and the drive was toast without a chance to get back my old data. While i do believe them about the motherboard, i put the drive on my desktop computer and its working completely fine. I'm even writing this review on the drive they told me didn't work anymore and needed a replacement. The quote they gave me for a drive replacement was $200 FOR A DRIVE THAT COST ME $70 ON AMAZON... WITHOUT SAVING MY OLD DATA!!! all for a drive that is still working perfectly fine with all my data intact. Avoid this place. UPDATE: Turns out while my main usb-c charging port was not working, the secondary one still works, AND ITS ABLE TO CHARGE MY LAPTOP! I'm currently writing this review on the very same laptop they told me the motherboard was fried. So the only issue was literally 1 (one) usb-c port. If I could leave 0 starts I would. My MacBook's Touch Bar stopped working. I message on Yelp and was provided a quote for replacement. When I got around to getting my computer fixed, I was a little surprised that I was told I needed a diagnostic. That was never mentioned but I suppose it made sense. I paid the fee and left my computer. Once they started working on my laptop, they asked for a password. I told them I created a guest account and inquired as to whether or not they use that. I had to wait 24 hours for a response. I eventually provided the password and was told my computer was ready a few hours later. I asked what the issue was and about any additional repairs....no response. I picked my computer up the following day and was then told a wire became disconnected and the Touch Bar works fine. Unfortunately they broke my computer case and didn't mention it to me. Luckily cases are pretty cheap to replace but I'd still recommend removing any cases before dropping your computer off. I'm actually surprised they didn't suggest I remove the case. read more

I brought my iMac in there because it would randomly turn off from time to time. He told me that my hard drive was failing because it was too old (2014). he said there was nothing I could do, EXCEPT pay over $200 for him to fix it. Or I pay $685 for a "newer" computer that was only one year younger (2015). I asked him for the specs of the computer and then went online to look at competing prices. I'm very quickly found a 2019 iMac for $400 with better specs. when I brought that in and asked him to just do a he was very rude and condescending because I buy the computer from him and mad that I found something better. Saying "well I guess you like what you like but it's whatever". I leave both my computers with him but less than a minute later, he's texting me telling me to come bacc because the new one that I just brought is broken. When I get there, he tries to explain to me how the hard drive on my new one is not existent and whoever I brought it from must've been trying to scam me. I bought it from a friend of mine that I trust with my life. But he continues to tell me how it's going to be a $99 fix just to get the new computer up and running again and keeps trying to inform me that after he does the fix my old computer will be useless and he wouldn't be able to "put it back together". He kept saying "You can keep it, but it'll be broken and useless." at this point I knew I didn't trust him touching my computer computers so I grabbed both of them and left.. here's the thing I'm not a computer wizard but I know. I bring them to him because I had a problem I couldn't fix. I brought them to him because I didn't have time to fix it myself. So with him trying to charge me over $200 for a problem that I fixed with a few cliccs and didn't require for him to remove the face of my iMac. Shows that he can't be trusted. Even my first iMac is running perfectly fine. Now I have two of them for no reason. I asked for my laptop to be repaired over a month ago. I paid the business upfront for the diagnostic fee and repair fee, and they gave me a date of completion. They stated it would take about one week. Their follow- up was not existent. I had to be the one calling to see what was going on with my repair. Every week I called for a status of my repair for a total of 4+ weeks. Every time there was some sort of excuse as to why my laptop was not fixed. In the end my laptop was not fixed and a total waste of a diagnostic fee and time. They did return the repair fee since they did not repair it. I went in to have someone to order a battery replacement for my HP. The technician told me he would h have to keep me computer over night because he didn't have time to look up model number to give me an estimate. He was busy doing other things. I asked him could he take the model number and call me once he found out how much it would cost including labor. He was annoyed. He just seemed overwhelmed. I think they specialize in phone repairs. Needed additional two hard drives (I already had the drives) installed on a new gaming PC rig. I was scammed. Embarrassed at how stupid I was and terrified that I might have lost everything. I rushed to Long Beach Computer Repair. They made me feel NOT STUPID and said that they would check everything. I was a happy person when I picked up my laptop and got to work rearranging file because they up dated the operating system. Oh, oh! My bookmarks were missing. I took the computer back and was told that I should have copied them before I brought the computer in. Maybe not stupid but I didn't know that. I told them how unhappy I was and they took the computer back to try to find my bookmarks. Apparently it was a tricky job but I again have my bookmarks - at no charge. This was my first time using Long Beach Computer Repair. My late model 2013 iMac was wonky. I ran the apple diagnostics and it seemed like the hard drive was failing somehow, but it hadn't quite totally quit. LBC Repair confirmed this and removed and replaced the 1 TB hard drive with a 1 TB SSD drive for a price that made sense to me. I'm still waiting to buy the latest and greatest overpriced Apple replacement computer later in 2022 so this is money well spent to buy some time and capture all of my data and continue on with my computing needs. My iMac runs great now, and LBC Repair installed the data from my back up drive. This was right decision with excellent results. So far so good! read more

I had to bring it back due to minor glitches but it was fixed and they didn't charge me this time, they cleaned the inside too which had cat hair clogged inside.
