I would recommend this company to everyone! #rip to my laptop I called to see if they would be able to remove my SSD from my fried laptop, so that I can retrieve the data. Eric was so kind and said that if I could get there by 4PM, he could take care of it. The work only took a few minutes, but I was impressed with the level of customer service. I asked Eric some other general questions about CPU's and brands. He provided me with honest answers and extra information. I'm crossing my fingers that I won't have to use them for my new laptop any time soon, but they definitely have my business! read more

I brought my m1 MacBook Pro here after getting it pretty good and wet and shorting it out. They gave me a grim outlook on repair, but they were able to repair it completely at a much better price than a lot of quotes I received. Unlike Apple they actually went in and micro soldered the motherboard both fixing and recovering all my data. So stoked, thank you! read more

Shady business practices. Took my laptop for a water spill repair, they told me the motherboard was not repairable, and the drive was toast without a chance to get back my old data. While i do believe them about the motherboard, i put the drive on my desktop computer and its working completely fine. I'm even writing this review on the drive they told me didn't work anymore and needed a replacement. The quote they gave me for a drive replacement was $200 FOR A DRIVE THAT COST ME $70 ON AMAZON... WITHOUT SAVING MY OLD DATA!!! all for a drive that is still working perfectly fine with all my data intact. Avoid this place. UPDATE: Turns out while my main usb-c charging port was not working, the secondary one still works, AND ITS ABLE TO CHARGE MY LAPTOP! I'm currently writing this review on the very same laptop they told me the motherboard was fried. So the only issue was literally 1 (one) usb-c port. If I could leave 0 starts I would. Waste of $40 for the diagnostic. Do not come near this place. read more

My MacBook's Touch Bar stopped working. I message on Yelp and was provided a quote for replacement. When I got around to getting my computer fixed, I was a little surprised that I was told I needed a diagnostic. That was never mentioned but I suppose it made sense. I paid the fee and left my computer. Once they started working on my laptop, they asked for a password. I told them I created a guest account and inquired as to whether or not they use that. I had to wait 24 hours for a response. I eventually provided the password and was told my computer was ready a few hours later. I asked what the issue was and about any additional repairs....no response. I picked my computer up the following day and was then told a wire became disconnected and the Touch Bar works fine. Unfortunately they broke my computer case and didn't mention it to me. Luckily cases are pretty cheap to replace but I'd still recommend removing any cases before dropping your computer off. I'm actually surprised they didn't suggest I remove the case. read more

I was referred here by my daughter, for to get a diagnostic performed on my iPad which I love. Ruben assisted me with what's going to happen and how long it would take to hopefully repair my iPad. My husband's laptop (a vintage MacBook Air from like 2014 lol) would no longer charge on its own, so I brought it to this shop. The guys working were friendly, and transparent about their diagnostic and repair turnaround time. Within a day, they determined that the laptop needed a new battery. I paid the (very reasonable) price for the new battery and repair over the phone. Within a week, the laptop was good as new and ready to be picked up. I am very pleased with the quality of work and communication at Long Beach Computer Repair. Additional bonus: there is a really good coffee shop on the same block. read more

I wish you would have been respectful of the client. I explain the type of device I have. I then told you it's a niche product and what I have done with the product. instead you told me to come, you took a look on your pc and stated that you cannot get parts of the laptop. I hope you are better and understanding for the future clients but I won't be coming back to you. read more

My MacBook screen broke and I needed to get it fixed. I've been to other places to fix my iPhone screen and it failed shortly so I was very nervous to fix something that will cost more. They offered a short term guarantee which I was surprised to hear as the other places didn't offer this. So I took the leap of faith lol and had them fix my MacBook screen. The guy helping me was helpful and explained everything. His name is Ruben. I got my MacBook fixed in few days as stated. You don't realize how important it is to have a place like this handy until it happens. Highly recommend everyone! read more

I brought my iMac in there because it would randomly turn off from time to time. He told me that my hard drive was failing because it was too old (2014). he said there was nothing I could do, EXCEPT pay over $200 for him to fix it. Or I pay $685 for a "newer" computer that was only one year younger (2015). I asked him for the specs of the computer and then went online to look at competing prices. I'm very quickly found a 2019 iMac for $400 with better specs. when I brought that in and asked him to just do a he was very rude and condescending because I buy the computer from him and mad that I found something better. Saying "well I guess you like what you like but it's whatever". I leave both my computers with him but less than a minute later, he's texting me telling me to come bacc because the new one that I just brought is broken. When I get there, he tries to explain to me how the hard drive on my new one is not existent and whoever I brought it from must've been trying to scam me. I bought it from a friend of mine that I trust with my life. But he continues to tell me how it's going to be a $99 fix just to get the new computer up and running again and keeps trying to inform me that after he does the fix my old computer will be useless and he wouldn't be able to "put it back together". He kept saying "You can keep it, but it'll be broken and useless." at this point I knew I didn't trust him touching my computer computers so I grabbed both of them and left.. here's the thing I'm not a computer wizard but I know. I bring them to him because I had a problem I couldn't fix. I brought them to him because I didn't have time to fix it myself. So with him trying to charge me over $200 for a problem that I fixed with a few cliccs and didn't require for him to remove the face of my iMac. Shows that he can't be trusted. Even my first iMac is running perfectly fine. Now I have two of them for no reason. If you still wanna bring your computer to this guy that's on you, but I would suggest YouTubing the problem before dealing him. read more

I took my MacBook Pro in after going to the Apple store and getting a quote of $700 to replace a flawed connection between the screen and computer. It was part of an Apple recall called Flexgate but it was not covered for repair due to being after the recall period. LB Computer Repair had my computer for a week and found a solution to replace the cables rather than replace the entire screen and saved me $450. Computer works great and I'm really thankful for their professional and expert repair. I would highly recommend them to you. read more

I asked for my laptop to be repaired over a month ago. I paid the business upfront for the diagnostic fee and repair fee, and they gave me a date of completion. They stated it would take about one week. Their follow- up was not existent. I had to be the one calling to see what was going on with my repair. Every week I called for a status of my repair for a total of 4+ weeks. Every time there was some sort of excuse as to why my laptop was not fixed. In the end my laptop was not fixed and a total waste of a diagnostic fee and time. They did return the repair fee since they did not repair it. If considering this place, shop around a bit before coming here. Not a professional environment. read more

Super friendly, helpful, fair prices and great at explaining the issue/problem happening with my computer.

*NEW MANAGEMENT* I am extremely relieved Long Beach Computer Repair is under new management. They are so awesome, they reached out to me to make my recent disappointing experience right. I am so impressed with Eric & Alex's customer service. They always make me feel welcomed and appreciated, not only that but they always go above and beyond. Thank you for taking ownership of someone else's wrong and caring enough to make things right. read more

I went in to have someone to order a battery replacement for my HP. The technician told me he would h have to keep me computer over night because he didn't have time to look up model number to give me an estimate. He was busy doing other things. I asked him could he take the model number and call me once he found out how much it would cost including labor. He was annoyed. He just seemed overwhelmed. I think they specialize in phone repairs. Needed additional two hard drives (I already had the drives) installed on a new gaming PC rig. Called on early Friday afternoon, dropped it off and it was finished within two hours (I'm assuming I lucked out on their work backlog for that day). Staff was friendly and knowledgeable, work was done correctly (I'm typing this the same day-if there turns out to be a problem I assume they'll help me out) and the price was very fair. Compared with the time and hassle of attempting it myself (I'm kind of a mechanical klutz) or the additional time and expense of taking it to Tustin where I bought the original rig to have them do it, this was a great, fairly priced, and convenient experience. I used them 3 or 4 years ago to swap out a PC Power supply and was equally satisfied. Recommended! read more

I brought my 2002 MacBook here to get more RAM. The whole process from, diagnosis, ordering parts, instillation took a week. I believe I spent $130 and I had to put some money down. Staff is very helpful & knowledgeable. If you want you can get text messages on the status of your order. read more

I took my laptop here three times and my laptop was never fully addressed. I had to take my laptop to a different shop.

My partner dropped their laptop at work and shattered the screen, took it here to get it repaired and they did an excellent job. While The screen has a lingering minor issue with flickering lines, in no way does it make the laptop unusable. I commend all the techs here for the amount of work they spent running every test could and being very communicative and transparent about what repairs they were doing, how long it would take, how long ordering parts would take and the tests they did with every new part they installed. I'm very satisfied with their work and can't recommend them enough for their customer service read more

Can i tell you off of First Impressions...Reuben's customer service is unmatched! I was referred to him by a young lady Xitlali (forgive the misspell) and sure enough Reuben went above and beyond. Thank you SO much Reuben for not overcharging and putting my happiness and customer satisfaction before the goal of money (which we all deserve to be paid for our services). My goal was met and thanks to Reuben i was able to get what i needed in reference to my phone. Job Well Done!!!! Oh and lastly, yet most importantly, Reuben's Energy is BALM!!!! -Natalie read more

I was scammed. Embarrassed at how stupid I was and terrified that I might have lost everything. I rushed to Long Beach Computer Repair. They made me feel NOT STUPID and said that they would check everything. I was a happy person when I picked up my laptop and got to work rearranging file because they up dated the operating system. Oh, oh! My bookmarks were missing. I took the computer back and was told that I should have copied them before I brought the computer in. Maybe not stupid but I didn't know that. I told them how unhappy I was and they took the computer back to try to find my bookmarks. Apparently it was a tricky job but I again have my bookmarks - at no charge. These guys were generous, capable and polite; they know what they are doing. Good technicians and good at business. I would recommend them to anyone needing help with their computer. read more

LB Computer Repair did better work than any other Computer Service Repair than I have used... They have EXCELLENT Customer Service!! Their Technical Service is EXCELLENT!! You can't beat their prices! Their Customer Service and Technical Knowledge was the best! LB Computer Repair called me and let me know what was going on with my Desktop, they provided an estimate for the cost of the work they were going to do and they returned my calls in a VERY timely manner....I was able to use the $40 dollars diagnose charge towards the cost of the final bill, I was even able to use a $10 coupon they had towards my final bill... LB Computer Repair is the best of the best for your computer needs! I not only recommend LB Computer Repair to everyone, I will use them again in the future read more

This was my first time using Long Beach Computer Repair. My late model 2013 iMac was wonky. I ran the apple diagnostics and it seemed like the hard drive was failing somehow, but it hadn't quite totally quit. LBC Repair confirmed this and removed and replaced the 1 TB hard drive with a 1 TB SSD drive for a price that made sense to me. I'm still waiting to buy the latest and greatest overpriced Apple replacement computer later in 2022 so this is money well spent to buy some time and capture all of my data and continue on with my computing needs. My iMac runs great now, and LBC Repair installed the data from my back up drive. This was right decision with excellent results. So far so good! read more

Had a Macbook Pro dropped and screen cracked. Was hoping to get it repaired and data backed up. Turn around time was quick and prompt. My Macbook model was an oddball in that the hard drive was a special type and the motherboard was fried. Recommended me to another Apple certified repair shop and was able to get my data. Overall prompt service and diagnostics wasn't too bad and was even put towards the overall repairs. Check them out. Thanks Long Beach Computer Repair. read more

This is the first Yelp review I ever write, I think. But it is warranted for the life-saving repair that Long Beach Computer Repair was able to do for my water-damaged Macbook Pro. I got turned away by other repair shops, saying it was not worth it and that I should just sell it for parts. Mind you, the computer was not even two years old. This is when the optimistic staff at lb computer repair came to the rescue. My computer is working as good as new with so far (got it back a week ago) no differences in speed, audio, or resolution in screen. I hope to not be back anytime soon, but if I need to, LB Computer Repair will be my #1 choice. read more

My laptop was repaired here and for like $300 they were able to fix the freezing. I had to bring it back due to minor glitches but it was fixed and they didn't charge me this time, they cleaned the inside too which had cat hair clogged inside. I was unsure with getting my laptop fixed had lot of issues in the past with computer tech guys touching my stuff. But gave it a chance on these awesome people had some real issues with how old of a laptop I was bringing in. Talked with Erick. Super chilled dude, and staff was nice on random stop in to check up on the progress of fixing it. Always had an answer. Had a dead line of 12 days to meet and these guys crushed it in getting me my laptop in just 7 days for a failing SSD and putting in a new power supply.
