Customer Service is 5/5. They updated me regarding my computer frequently. My only thing is that there were some fees not mentioned initially like for a custom built PC. But otherwise pretty transparent with. The main reason i brought my computer was crashing and they did a stress test for everything and they told me everything is doing really good. If I could leave 0 stars I would. One of the worst experiences I've ever had. I went to get a quote in person, they gave me a $500 quote for a cracked screen and replacement of some of the keyboard squares. I spoke to Angel who said it would take around 1-2 weeks once I paid the deductible. So I paid it the same day they sent it to me. 3 weeks pass and I've heard nothing from their end, so I call and they say that they had received the wrong part. Angel again said that they had ordered the replacement part already and they should get it soon. I waited another week, and again I don't hear back from anyone, not by phone or email. I called and spoke to angel again who said that the part was coming from overseas and it might take a month. I asked if he had a tracking number and he had said that the company hadn't sent it yet. I then came here and started reading reviews and quickly realized that "it's coming from overseas" was their excuse for everything. I asked for my laptop back, it had now been almost 2 months and they had done nothing to it. This was July 20th or so, and I'm now writing this review August 10th and I have yet to receive my refund!!! I would completely stay away from them!! read more

My little silver MacBook Pro stuck it out with me for nearly seven years, running all kinds of Adobe software, traveling to various cafes, before it began giving me problems. It worked so well for so long that I didn't bother to back anything up. (Bad idea, folks). Suddenly, my computer wouldn't stay on for longer than 2 minutes before shutting itself down. A complete diagnostic on the system revealed the hard drive was faulty and degrading the performance on start up. Hard drive was replaced as well the memory upgrade and battery. Hi Tek helped me build my first gaming PC 7 years ago and i had no issues for the past 7 years with it. I decided to upgrade my build myself in 2024 but started running into a multitude of issues until at one point, my pc would no longer boot. I took it to Hi Tek and they were able to fix my PC in about 1 week. The team was great at keeping myself updated on the progress of the repair (I believe my tech's name was charlie). Edgar was also very helpful and friendly. He showed a lot of patience when I first came in to explain my issues and thanked me for being a return customer. They were able to diagnose the main source of my issues which consisted of a bad set of ram sticks and corrupted Windows on my hard drives. I thought the 1 week turnaround time was fair since they had to order a new set of ram. Overall a great experience and my PC is up and running playing games right now with no issues so far. An absolute waste of time. I brought in my defective EVGA 3070 graphics card for them to diagnose the issue and see what repairs can be made. I mentioned that the manufacturer and system integrator warranty have expired, so that they are free to disassemble it for diagnosis and repair. In the beginning, I was happy to hear that they would replace any defective surface mounted devices and then eventually stress test it with FurMark, among other things, but instead I was kept out of the loop when I waited for several weeks with no progress on the job. Every time I called for an update, I was only told to wait another week. When I gave up on their ability to fix this, I showed up at their store again to get my device back, and I was surprised to see that they had not taken it apart for diagnosis when they said they would weeks earlier (shown by the intact warranty seals). When I confronted them about this, they kept saying how they did not get a response from some kind of vendor for some reason, which I found hard to believe because they would not have known which parts to buy since they did not know which parts needed replacement. I brought it to another repair shop and they were immediately able to find the problem (the GPU processor chip had a broken corner), and found that it is impossible to repair. TL;DR: Their standard diagnosis was four days, I ended up giving them five weeks and they broke their promises by doing nothing. read more

I wanted to right a positive review as a thank you for the great service I received from Hi-Tel Solutions. I went there to get an estimate of repairs for an older Kindle I wanted to repair for a friend of mine. I met with Cris and she was very kind and helpful. She explained to me that it would be a $50.00 refundable deposit to diagnose the issue with the device. She then explained that if I wanted to proceed with the repairs, that same $50.00 would go towards the final cost of the repair bill. If I DID NOT want to repair the device then the $50.00 deposit would be refunded to me. It was pretty straightforward and understandable. They took about 2 days to diagnose the problem. They called me to explain what they found and what they needed to replace and how much it would cost. I thought it was a fair price and I approved the job to be completed. It took about 6 days to get the call that the device was completed and ready to be picked up. When I finally did the repairs were well done and I paid the final price of $115.00. I want to add an extra note about your initial $50.00 deposit. If you do decide to have your device repaired, they will put that deposit towards your final invoice. My total repairs for the Kindle were $165.00. They deducted the $50.00 deposit and reduced my final bill to $115.00. Not bad for good service and best of all a repaired device. I recommend this business if you need tech repair. Just know what to expect when you turn over your device and ask them for a turnaround time so that you set a fair expectation of when it will be completed. Also, keep in mind that if they have to order replacement parts for your device that this will be a factor in return time so you gotta know this and be patient with their process. I am very disappointed in the final result I took my computer because after 10 minutes of use it would automatically turn off even though I had a full charge I explained to them I had to disconnect the battery and reconnect the battery from my laptop in order for it to power back on I also told them that my left speaker was blown Long story short I was charged $200 for a $29 speaker they also replaced the battery which they said it was the problem I picked up my computer guess what it still doesn't work I have to disconnect the battery by unscrewing the bottom of the laptop and reconnecting to turn on they told me after I paid the $200 that maybe I would have to replace the motherboard which was $600 Long story short I paid $200 to replace a $29 speaker because I got it back the same way I gave it to him By the way what's The point of replacing the battery if that was never the issue they also installed new screws but I have to unscrew it because I have to disconnect and connect the battery so I had to go to Best Buy and try to find a screwdriver for those specialty screws they also told me I would get 30% off when I first took the computer but they never told me it was only labor I was expecting 30% from the complete bill read more

I am not the kind of person who writes review but this is something cost me money and time, I would not suggest these people to anyone, I am small business owner self employed I have 2 computers point of sale one of them was giving error 513- Front Chssis fane not detected, so I sent it to them and they charged $104 they did not bother to change the 15 dollar fan but instead put grease in there, it dis jot even last 2 months same issue so I took out the fan myself I know that much about computers and turns out it's bad fan and back sticker was peeled and put grease in there, If I could I would give them zero stars I ordered a fan from Amazon it was $16 dollars and computers runs like new. Before sharing my experience with this "business" I want to start off by saying that during these COVID-19 times, I'm a firm believer in helping small business. For that reason, and the "5 star reviews", I decided to fix my 2012 MacBook Pro that had been without operation since last year due to me accidentally spilling wine on the keyboard at this local small business. With that being said, let's start. I am about to share what separates a small business compared to an actual established PROFESSIONAL business such as Apple or Amazon and why in some cases it's best to cough up some extra money & use the latter businesses. CUSTOMER SERVICE. It all started on 4/22/2020 when I first dropped off my laptop for a diagnosis. I paid the extra 39.99 for the "VIP Express" service since I value time. On 4/24/2020 I was called up and was given a diagnosis. I went in and was given a rundown. The cost would come out to be $624.95. I was cool with it. Keep in mind, Apple charges $800 for liquid damage and usually just gives the customer a complete refurbished one. I made the biggest mistake by trying to save myself some money, $175.05, not including taxes, to be exact. On 5/2/2020, the MacBook was ready for pickup. Nice. I pick it up. A couple days later, Tuesday 5/7/2020 to be exact, the MacBook starts beeping when I tried booting it up and that's when this whole nightmare began... On Saturday 5/9/2020 I noticed the laptop was starting to improperly charge. The following day, Sunday 5/10/2020, the laptop stopped charging all together. Tuesday 5/12/2020 I take ANOTHER day off from work with the sole purpose of getting another PROBLEM fixed AGAIN. I explained to them the problem and even left them the new charger I had bought to further prove the issue. Friday 5/15/2020 I get a call, and e-email, explaining to me that the refurbished motherboard it came with had a component in it that was faulty BUT that the MacBook was now able to charge if placed at an angle AND that I was able to pick it up and use it meanwhile the new motherboard came in. COOL. I took a half-day from my other day job and went to pick it up. Another MISTAKE. Same day, I got home and booted up the computer and it was taking about 10-20 minutes to fully boot up. WHAT'S GOING ON? Once it finally booted up, it wouldn't load any programs and would stay stuck with the spinning beach ball. AGHHHH. Next day, Saturday 5/16/2020, I take a full day off from my other day job and explain to them the situation and problem. At this point I'm a little pissed off that I have to keep coming back. At this point I think I actually started losing track of how many times I had to come back. I explain to them how much money I've lost doing business at this place and they said they would take it up with the manager. The most I get back from my time? "$90", or $89.99 to be exact. Thursday 6/4/2020, still no word or update. With all these injustices going on, I got to a point of complete total frustration. I call them about 10-15 minutes before they closed SEVERAL times. I had just checked Yelp what time they were closing and I was still within the time frame. No answer, so I left a voice message. EARLIER that day, I had also sent them an e-mail around 11am explaining to them pretty much what I'm writing in this email but summed up. Around 5PM I start tweeting about my experience because I was just done. Around 8PM, I'm about 10 white claws in by Malibu coast just trying to relax, BUT, I was pretty buzzed. I start tweeting about what I had originally intended to do today 6/5/2020. SPEAK OF THE DEVIL AND THOU SHALL APPEAR Thursday 6/4/2020 8:43PM, HOURS past BUSINESS HOURS, I get a call from "Hi-Tek Solutions". I answer with "Woah, Hi-Tek Solutions, calling past business hours". They caught me at a bad time and clearly did not read my email as to why I did not prefer to call. I'm writing this today, Friday 6/5/2020, for cathartic purposes and most importantly, to advise people to stay away from this place. I can't call it a "business". It's TERRIBLE and SAD! Lol This place lacks professionalism in terms of customer service and apparently labor, too. Don't listen to the "5 star reviews", look at the 1 star reviews and this story doesn't sound any different, just more detailed. Oh, and I'm aware that my MacBook had scratches on the corners but it came returned with another scratch on the back! WHAT THE! You'll find that in other 1 Star reviews as well. $624.95. Incredible. Minus $89.99 of course. Place should be renamed "Lo-Fi Solutions" with a slogan that says "Problems for you". Now that's accurate branding. If you have a MacBook, SAVE YOURSELF PEACE OF MIND AND TIME & TAKE IT TO THE APPLE STORE! It'll cost you less in the long run. read more
