I have been trying to pick up my laptop from here for awhile and also have another laptop that I would like them to attempt fix. I think they have new technicians and their hours are SO erratic. I tried to pick up on Tuesday, 1/9/24 and another Saturday prior to that. No one is there and the voice mail picks up. I even called yesterday, 1/9/24, and a man answered and told me Group Micro would be open today, Saturday, 1/10/24. I tried calling them today, but voice mail picked up. Figured they might be busy with customer so unable to pick up phone. I drove there again for the 3rd time. It is closed today. Why did the man tell me it would be open? Yelp hours are incorrect as they are not open on Saturday. I'm just frustrated and hope that I can pick up my fixed laptop. They should at least have updated Yelp hours or someone who works there that can at least give updated and true information so I'm not wasting my time. read more

Back in December I was having some issues with my SSD and I thought that I lost all of my data. I was panicking and I didn't know what to do so I looked up some places and found this shop. This place gets such good reviews but I don't see it... I was in such a desperate place a few weeks ago when I went swimming with my iPhone 7 by accident and needed data recovery due to water damage. I went to Group Micro because their reviews made it seem like they were experts in data recovery. I dropped or my iPhone 7 and logic board with them on a Saturday and didn't hear anything for FIVE days. I had to call them several times just to be told that Amir would call me back or text me, and then he never did. I was so surprised because they had such good reviews. Finally on the 6th day I called and I think it was Amir who answered. He said he couldn't get my phone to work and that it was ready to be picked up. I then went to drive there, I live an hour away, and got there an hour before they closed but they were already closed. I was frustrated. I went back the next day and got my phone. I'm giving 3 starts for benefit of the doubt and since they gave a free diagnostic which I'm thankful for. But they could not provide results and told me "if we can't do it then no one will be able to, they will be lying to you." That is annoying because it made me really worried and lose hope. I then took it to Image Wireless across the street and Shawn Pak saved me. He got my iPhone 7 working the very next day!!! After two places couldn't... Hardware issues for me, come pretty regularly considering I work as an IT person at an Online Education company where we have many machines, and I am not one who gives up on any machine very easily. Mother Nature says no!!! I have been going to Group Micro for probably as long as 10 years. Throughout that time, I can always count on their knowledge, honesty, thoroughness, and professionalism whenever they assess each issue. And, when they say they can fix, they CAN fix it. And each time, when their work is complete and I pick up my computer, it is returned to me in better shape than it was before it ever even had its issue. Their prices are fair and honest, and quite frankly a huge bargain when I can leave knowing they did it right and I can avoid replacing an otherwise perfectly solid machine with a new but unnecessary one. Outstanding service repairing my iPhone 8 Plus cracked screen from Sevada today! I visited this morning after reading about them on Yelp. I arrived at 11:15 am, spoke to Sevada, and he was done repairing a crack on lower left of my screen within 9 minutes, including replacing the old screen protector (with a better one). Upon entering, the store was very tech-ed out. I was surprised at how large it was especially having just visited another store a minute down which was extremely tight and claustrophobic even. The owner/manager (his name is Sevada) was busy but was very inviting and assured us it would only be a few moments before he could assist us. The reason for our visit was my bf carelessly dropped his iPhone 6s and cracked his screen. The price is the best you can get around here and they know that which is why they will not try to oversell/up-sell etc. they have nice seating/refreshments and also a great yelp check in deal. Decent dudes working the place, but honestly not responsible and reasonable. I usually give people the benefit of the doubt because working service is difficult but I had a 80% failed data recovery, yet was still charged full price despite showing them the corrupted files that they were "recovering." They gave a discount for the repair, but regardless, I'd expect at least a 50% recovery for $150, but it was much less than that. In addition to that, I was the one calling for check-ins every few days or so and coming in twice to pick up my drive case and usb wire that they kept when returning my drive. I'm disappointed in the services here and will not be returning. I'd recommend looking into another place if you want data recovery unless you're cool with being charged for corrupted files. UPDATE: Within a day of posting this review, the company reached out to apologize for the incident and refund a chunk of the service, which I greatly appreciate. The people here are generally chill and understanding folks, so I'm glad that we were able to sort this situation out. Thank you! read more

If you want to see your electronic item again, do NOT take it to this repair shop! My Mac Monitor has conveniently been "recycled" after weeks of trying to reach the manager here to retrieve it. "Can you fix the short in my monitor's cable?" "Yes, $100, but it will take a few weeks to get the part." We called back a few weeks later.... "Opps, I ordered the wrong part. It will be another week or so." Meanwhile, my colleague walks into their store to get a power adapter and asks about the monitor. "We can't fix it. It cost us more than $100 in time. You cost us money. We will try one more thing, but then just come pick it up." My colleague says "well, it's not mine, so can you call her to talk about it" I travel a lot, and am just busy with work. So I couldn't go in, but I called several times to try to arrange for my roommate to pick it up since a repair seemed unlikely. Meanwhile, another repair shop ordered the part and had it on hold for me. I left several voicemails. Finally, my roommate reaches them while I'm out of town, months later, and they say "Oh, well since it wasn't picked up, it was probably recycled for parts. We'll call you back on Tuesday." It's a week later and they still haven't called. Essentially, they promised to do a repair that they couldn't do and then salvaged my monitor for parts without ever notifying me to pick it up. In other words, I dropped of my monitor for repair, and it was essentially stolen and recycled to make up for their inability to fix it. I would never recommend GroupMicro to anyone, and I'm now out a $500 monitor. read more

Update: The glass on my phone lifted again. Wasted my time communicating with them and going repeatedly to get my phone fixed, especially when the same issues continue happening. When I went back, even their staff noticed and confirmed how the glass lifted, so it is not just me. Also, I constantly get solicited with phone calls and texts from the manager. What a great store experience!!! My girlfriend had multiple cell phone issues which she was panicked about having to pay a high price or get a new phone. We came in here and were met with the friendliest service. Although they said it would take 45 minutes to fix, it was done in no time (before we even left the store)! I got on here thinking I'd found a hidden gem. Turns out over 400 other people, with an average of five stars, have found Sevada and the other guy. (Sorry, other guy. Didn't catch your name.) They replaced the charging port in my wife's S4. Their replacement has lasted longer than the original. (It's 2018. The S9 is out. Seriously, they do good work.) The place is organized like your geek friend's basement. And you know that's who you want to take your electronics to. Prices are similar to what you'd pay your geek friend, too. Phone battery replacement is like $65. Fixing phone software you screwed up is like $35. I have a couple of old dropped-in-water phones that won't turn on. I bet I could bring them in and get all the old pictures off of them for a price that was worth it. I'll ask next week. read more
