I came in with a water damaged iPhone that wouldn't turn on, which Apple said was completely irreparable and I would have to have to buy a new one. Group Micro had it fixed in less than two days and gave me a very generous student discount! The phone is functioning perfectly! Super close to UCLA and I will be coming back if I have any future tech problems :) read more

Excellent services! I literally saved over $500 bucks and a week of time by coming here. I had a GDrive with nearly a TB of storage fail on me so I brought it here. They did their best and recovered all the data without any issues. Other places would have taken longer and charged more but these guys are solid. read more

Group Micro has been an amazing experience! They are fast and super friendly. I came in coming to fix my iPhone screen because I was clumsy and dropped it. They took in my phone and fixed everything within 40 minutes. I was able to drop my phone off, study a bit at Starbucks, and was on my way with a new phone. read more

I cracked my iPhone under-screen (digitizer) and my display went black. Called up on a Friday and they fixed it in 45 minutes. Didn't have to erase anything on my phone. It's like new. I am extremely happy. read more

I had dropped my computer accidentally and needed same day help. Sevada was very kind and helpful calling to source parts right away. However he didn't have time to get my computer back with turnaround same or next day so I could work. So he called and verified that another repair shop nearby could finish the work by the weekend, and referred me to the competitor to ensure I could continue business as usual. He's my hero today. I look forward to working with him in the future when time and resource availability coordinate. read more

This was a GREAT experience. Sevada treated me like family, fixed my iphone 7 in under ten minutes for a low price, 3 month warranty, and free screen protector. We talked about his business, which he clearly has a genuine passion for, and Sevada answered all my random questions about pricing and quotes for computer repairs. It was a very feel-good experience. The great customer service gave me extra peace of mind. Now, as e-commerce continues to kill retail stores, Group Micro is a shining example of why neighborhood brick-and-mortar shops should still exist!! I am definitely going back, probably next week to Group Micro to format my MacBook Air. I also bought some of Sevada's custom made Guaranteed iPhone chargers (which he will replace if they break, so one less thing to worry about.) read more

Stopped in and was helped out by the owner Sevada who is incredibly nice, welcoming, and knowledgeable. I purchased a laptop case and a car phone holder (WHICH IS AMAZING!) by the way. We even got one for my fiancé. Will definitely definitely be back for amazing products and just as great if not better customer service read more

The price is worth the service, and the service is worth the price. They fixed my phone's wifi connectivity issue, and the rate is super great (great as in less than $40). Will recommend. read more

THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST HONEST, INCREDIBLE PLACES I HAVE EVER BEEN TOO. This company worked with me to solve a computer altercation I was in, that has ruined the last month of my life. Going into the holiday season I have never seen the season spirit shine so bright than working with these guys. If you are looking for anything computer related, please use these guys. It's is hard, very hard to find honest people in LA. This guy puts his business on the line to make sure your happy and wont leave you feeling any kind of disappointment. Thank you so my Group Micro, THANK YOU! I wont forget how you helped me. read more

The worst electronic repair store ever. They never picked up my phone call and barely responded my text message. Amir told me he was able to repair my laptop in 2 business days and it took him 1 week and gave me back my laptop that was still broken. The day I went to pick up my laptop he was even yelling at me and kicked his trash can... Then he kept saying he was unable to log in my laptop and the password I gave to him was wrong. However, that was not ture because the second store I went they were able to log in using the exact same password and retrived the data inside of my laptop. At the end Amir charged me over $300 without fixing my laptop, lied about my laptop's condition and treated his customer with poor manners. I can't imagine this kind of store exists in the Westwood... I guess I need to be careful next time because many stores paid people to write positive comments on Yelp. read more

Who knew computer repair was such an expensive ordeal? You would think with five stars, Group Micro would offer unbelievably low prices, but instead they offer exceptional customer service tailored to your needs. The owner, Sevada, cares deeply about customer satisfaction, and genuinely wants to solve your computer needs. You should be aware hours are spotty during opening. I had to stand outside for 15 minutes until somebody showed up. But, again, Sevada's friendliness is the only saving grace. He does try to be as helpful as possible, and diagnostics (no fixes included) on your computer is free of charge. read more

My laptop battery ended its life, and as I use this computer constantly, i was concerned about how I would have a new battery installed without a lot of downtime. I contacted Group Micro regarding this issue. They pre-ordered the battery, and let me know when it arrived. I then took the laptop in and they were prepared to replace it within 1 hour. When I returned, the computer was ready. During the new battery installation, they discovered that the old battery had expanded over it's life time, affecting the keyboard function (I had been using an exterior keyboard to circumvent this problem) They adjusted some internal wiring, to bring the keyboard back to life. The computer is now working like new. I highly recommend Sevada and his group! read more

Came here like two months ago, but never got around to giving a review. Came in for a broken laptop that wouldn't turn on. Led me to believe that it was a simple fix, at least after they receive a part. Which they also led me to believe would only be a few days. Apparently it wasn't a simple fix and the problem required a more expensive part. My problem with them wasn't that, but their complete lack of communication. Made it clear it was important for me to get my laptop as soon as possible. Each time, thought it would be ready in few days. I get no call or update. So each time after more than a few days, I had to call in myself. If you knew there was a delay in shipment for a part, shouldn't I get a call ahead of time? That went on for quite a few times. Each time I called, they said the part would arrive soon. And that became a month.. And even after had to personally call on updates if my files were backed up for me to pick up. Originally said it was $200 for file recovery. Asked again when I called to pick up the files, asking how much. With a hint of attitude asks me what the technician originally told me. I said $200 and the guy told me that's how much it'll be. When I come in and pay, they charge me $240. This is including an 8gb usb, (which doesn't even cost $10), and after me using a 10% yelp coupon. He said it was cuz of sales tax... Don't know what tax or math they're using. Probably ignored the coupon. IDK. But honestly was too mentally exhausted to deal with them anymore. So paid anyways. Giving 2 stars cause I'm not as upset anymore... Or else would've given less. read more

My MacBook was dead all so sudden. I had a thorough diagnostic in apple store about two months before, but no issue was detected. Saveda saved my mac in timely manner and helped me from breaking my bank! I couldn't thank enough! read more

Go to them. Seriously! I was told by another "data recovery/ phone repair" place that my data was already completely gone and not recoverable/ that nobody could get my data back- oh man, so glad I came here! My phone wouldn't turn on at all- would just go to the white screen with the Apple and then shut off again! I had gone to Apple twice- they said I had a glitch or something and said they couldn't help me! Unless I wanted to factory reset my phone and lose everything. Went to Group Micro on Friday- got my phone back Monday! The guy recovered my photos on Friday, and on Saturday he fixed my phone! Said it wasn't turning on because the light censor wasn't working- fixed it, updated my phone, and boom! Amazing. So relieved to have it back- with everything on it still! Thank you, Group Micro!!! read more

Honestly, I'm super impressed. These guys are on their customer service game and know how to make a customer happy. I came in with a broken screen on my iPhone 6, they hooked it up with an excellent new screen that made me feel like I had a brand new phone. I've had a cracked screen before that was fixed and the glass that Group Micro used was WAY BETTER, stronger, and clearer. It's also nice that the shop is located in the middle of Westwood village with tons of shopping and restaurants. You can drop off your phone, go get a boba iced tea, and come back and pick it up in minutes. I hope I don't break my phone again (I probably will) but if I do, I know where to get it fixed. :) read more

I brought in my notebook for repair and it was quick n simple. I called in a few places and they gave me the best quote in the area. Service was quick and professional. Only downside was they didn't call me when my notebook was ready for pick up. Got a free USB cable with Yelp check in. Cool. read more

Sevada is straightforward and honest. He'll let you know exactly what you repair will entail and if it is worth it. In my case, I needed to get rid of a 16 yr old computer but couldn't wipe the hard drive since the computer wouldn't even boot up. Also, you get a free screen protector with Yelp check in! I also left with a really good case for my phone after Sevada saw my busted Casemate when replacing the screen protector. He also hooked me up with a solid protective case. WORTH IT. read more

This review is long over due! I was in LA earlier in theyear for work and my Mac crashed. This was the closest thing I could find that could help me because my apple care expired. I took my laptop in and they said they would see if they can see what was wrong with it. It took over an hour but they were able to recover data on my Mac. Hallelujah!!!!! read more

Ever since iPhone was introduced in my life in 2009, I have maintained a loving, anthropomorphized relationship with it. "Oh, iPhone wasn't doing so well last night. It threw a fit and decided to go to sleep when it's still got 17% battery left." "iPhone's definitely trying to play hide-and-seek with me. Where is it? Am I supposed to count to 10 or 100?" "MY IPHONE!!! I'M SOOOO SORRY!!!" I uttered an audible yelp on Culver Blvd. as iPhone jumped out of my purse last night. Its cover was shattered, and the beautiful screen was scarred, piercing through my thumb as I gently picked it up from the ground. My heart weakened and my life grew dimmer. How am I supposed to maintain my life with my iPhone? My 24/7 partner was unsafe to use, as pieces of glass gradually fell out. Suddenly, I remember this phone accessory store on Broxton ave. I've always walked by the storefront, giggling at the mannequin with a voluminous blonde wig that has mechanical arms that constantly waves a promotional sign. I made a call this morning to chat with Sevada, and he promptly invited me to stop by his store for an iPhone face-lift. 30 minutes later, with a few compliments on my intelligence and wit, I was truly charmed by Sevada and his colleague's efficiency and approachability. The store was equipped with all things mobile. Pimped out iPhone bodies with real diamonds, colorful assortment of car chargers, various screen protectors, all properly organized at this local store. My iPhone was rejuvenated, and it is now equipped with a screen protector to better prepare for unknown danger. read more

I had an EXCELLENT experience at Group Micro Computers after I figured out which of the cell phone repair shops on the short stretch of Broxton it actually was. My jailbroken iPhone had gotten a software bug that caused it to restart every time I unlocked it. I brought it in and they were able to identify the issue and resolve it quickly by setting my phone back to factory settings and then restoring my data through a backup. The owner called me the next day to make sure everything was still working well, and he noted that they have a 1 year service warranty. Awesome! There was initially a little confusion with price quotes; they quoted me $35 but ended up charging me $58. The correct price was in fact $58 - they just gave me a bad estimate. When I let the owner know about this after the fact, he offered to refund me the difference and give me a free power bank to charge my phone. Who does that? Bottom line: the BEST customer service I've ever experienced from an owner. I will certainly be back! read more

This place is the best. The guys are super friendly and they aren't out to profit off of you. I brought in my MacBook Pro 2011 early model bc I was having problems with the screen. The guy looked at it for a whole, typed some stuff on his computer, and basically notified me that this particular model is on recall and that I should contact apple support to get it fixed for free. I mean it doesn't get any better than that. On my way out I checked in on yelp and even got a free USB cable even though they didn't fix the laptop I brought in. This place is awesome. read more

I've lived in Westwood for 10 years, and must have walked past this shop hundreds of times. Until recently, I've been hesitant to have my Apple products serviced by third-party shops. However, I'm so glad I brought my daughter's iPhone here today. In less than an hour, Sevada and staff had replaced the shattered screen. More importantly, Sevada answered my questions about securing the data on the phone, as well as several long-term queries that would inform my decisions on whether to purchase a hard-core screen protector and whether to get the home button on my iPhone fixed. I was very pleased with the sincerity with which Sevada responded to my questions. He didn't try to push products for the quick sale. Instead, he seemed concerned with developing a long-term customer relationship, which is a rare and valuable experience today. Given that Apple and other ICT makers continue to sell fragile products (part of their business model), I will certainly be needing repair services in the future. And I will return to Group Micro every time, because I feel I can trust that they will advise me honestly and perform the work competently. read more

My wife's iphone had been having battery issues for awhile and finally died one night. Group was the only place open. That is worth one star. They where able to replace the battery and get the phone working. Charged me $65 for a "New" Battery. This one died within 2 days. Went back and they replaced it again with another "New" Battery. This second one die a week later. So we took it to the apple store and after they ran a battery diagnostic they said this battery has had over 600 full charge cycles!!! UPDATED: I was contacted by the owner and he offered me a full refund and a complimentary Iphone case, screen protector, and power bank. read more

Consumate professionals. Exceeded my expectations! Svabado and crew had my Mac laptop repaired and souped up in the promised time (less than a day), and billed me less than the estimate provided at drop-off. They didn't ask for my passwords which surprised me... but then I'm not the Mac specialist, right? My iPad unfortunately was toast. They did some diagnostics, opened it up and explained the bad news (damaged motherboard). They didn't charge for the time spent on the iPad and even threw in a free cable when returning my equipment back to me. Highly recommended! read more

I'm so blown away by the service I received from Group Micro Computers. My friend Ishor had just landed from Nepal. Dropped his iPhone which is a life line to his family. Stressed we didn't know where to go till we discovered Group Micro. Noel and Sevada came to our rescue. They provided detail instructions to find parking for me hearing that I was handicap, and directed me to park in the parking structure attached to their building. that was a big plus, you get a 2 hour free parking. Next, they have an awesome grand opening price for $59 for repairing iPhone 4-4s screens.I am just blown away by the courteous service these gents provided. very professional. located Near UCLA in Westwood village, my friend and I spent time across the street with a light lunch while we waited. The best! Quick service. Great price. Kind staff! Found my new iPhone and computer depot. Goodbye Best Buy!!

IN LOVE WITH THIS PLACE! Was writing an essay and all of a sudden my Mac failed me. I took it in to Sevada at Group Micro and he helped immediately! It's always nerve racking to trust a third party with such an expensive product, but my laptop was serviced and came back like new in 24 hours! Just in time to finish my paper. Sevada also installed up to date software (I hate updating my computer) and even backed everything up for me for the future. LOVE LOVE LOVE HIM and Group Micro! read more

So I drop my phone off my bed onto carpet flooring while sleep. when I started charging it in the morning it would restart several times but not charge. I was getting scared because I couldn't find solutions to the problem online. The phone wouldn't charge nor would he react to the start reboots. The couple here is very nice very pleasant to work with and they resolve my problems fairly fast. They are friendly and funny. they give student discounts and on top of that they threw in a free phone case for being a first-time customer. I put $.50 which equals 30 minutes in the meter and I was back within the first 10 minutes of. I would definitely come back again and I highly recommend. read more

The guys that work here are SO nice, very upfront, and they're not pushy and won't try to sell you anything you don't need. They also have the best prices in the city. I called around to several places to see how much it would cost to get my iPhone screen repaired and they were definitely the cheapest. It wasn't even close. They also have a lot of used electronics at really good prices. I had been meaning to buy an iPad for a while now, and luckily for me they had a 64gb model in great condition that they sold to me at a great price. The guy at the counter even pulled up the same iPad model's page on Amazon to show me that he was giving me a better price, so I could buy it with confidence. Definitely will go back if I break anything I the future... read more

Came here for two reasons 1) Mac Repair- dog spilled water on my MacBook and I was freaking out. Needed to hand in a project in the next few days so I looked for a place near UCLA. Came here bc it seemed like customers loved this place. They had super reasonable prices, but what's good is that they are honest and don't try to take advantage of you. They had it fixed in 24 hours and made sure my MacBook didn't lose any of my files. 2) cracked iPhone: I always drop my phone and the temper glass broke. They literally fixed everything for me in under 10 mins Would highly recommend this place if anyone is looking for data recovery or MacBook repair. read more

I was greeted by Sevada as soon as I walked into Group Micro. I showed him the cracked screen of my iPhone 6s Plus and he immediately told me that at this point in time, because the product is new and the parts are expensive, the Apple Store can repair it at a better rate. I was so taken aback by his honesty. It's something that's incredibly coveted when dealing with businesses, and frankly, I didn't care if they had to charge more, I wanted them to fix my phone. Sevada ordered my part and called the next day. I immediately walked over and dropped my phone off, returning only an hour later to pick it up. Quick and painless. Plus, it looked perfect. He even put a screen protector on it for me. I definitely recommend Sevada and Group Micro to anyone who's looking to get computers, phones or tablets fixed. The service was impeccable, and Sevada was so kind and amenable. You won't regret it. read more

The problem I had going into the store was that my computer suddenly decided to not turn on properly, and would go into some Recovery Mode, which told me that there was a hard disk problem. I was rather frantic at the time since I was still in school and a lot of my homework needed to be finished online. So I talked to the person and he talked me through the options and expressed his understanding of my situation as a desperate student in need of a functioning computer quickly. The options I ended up taking was to recover the data on my computer and reformatted my hard disk. They made the process very simple and told me a day after I walked in saying that they had recovered everything and that I could go in and retrieve my computer. So they fixed it very quickly. TL;DR: They're really nice people and gave me a discount because I was a student. They were patient in listening to my technical issues and were calm in replying, which helps a lot when you're on the brink of panicking. They're efficient. I highly recommend visiting them if you ever have any technical issues with your computer or phone. read more
