So I drop my phone off my bed onto carpet flooring while sleep. when I started charging it in the morning it would restart several times but not charge. I was getting scared because I couldn't find solutions to the problem online. The phone wouldn't charge nor would he react to the start reboots. The couple here is very nice very pleasant to work with and they resolve my problems fairly fast. They are friendly and funny. they give student discounts and on top of that they threw in a free phone case for being a first-time customer. The guys that work here are SO nice, very upfront, and they're not pushy and won't try to sell you anything you don't need. They also have the best prices in the city. I called around to several places to see how much it would cost to get my iPhone screen repaired and they were definitely the cheapest. It wasn't even close. They also have a lot of used electronics at really good prices. I had been meaning to buy an iPad for a while now, and luckily for me they had a 64gb model in great condition that they sold to me at a great price. The guy at the counter even pulled up the same iPad model's page on Amazon to show me that he was giving me a better price, so I could buy it with confidence. My MacBook Pro hard drive crashed and unfortunately I did not have a back up of my data. I took it to the Apple Store and they told me they can replace my hard drive but I would need to go somewhere else to recover my data. I had years worth of pictures and I did not want to lose them, so I tried to find help elsewhere. I researched a lot of different places and got quotes from everyone. I messaged Group Micro on Yelp and they responded in a very timely manner. They had the best deal for data recovery plus it was the closest to my workplace, it was a win-win situation. For being on the Westside, they gave me a really good deal. I brought my MacBook Pro in Monday night and it was ready by Wednesday morning! They recovered my data + replaced my hard drive. I'm not sure how this place got all the positive reviews. They were unresponsive. Dropped my laptop off. They said they would call in two hours. No one called. I called them and they said they would call back by the end of the day. Didn't hear back. It took two days to get a quote from them. I then asked for a quote to sell them the laptop. It took 4 days to get a quote. I had to call every day to finally get an answer. They then told me everything was wrong woth my laptop and could only five me 75 dollars for it. Originally the only thing wrong with it was the motherboard. Then when it's time for them to buy it back everything is wrong with it. I would find some place else to take in your laptop. read more

The problem I had going into the store was that my computer suddenly decided to not turn on properly, and would go into some Recovery Mode, which told me that there was a hard disk problem. I was rather frantic at the time since I was still in school and a lot of my homework needed to be finished online. So I talked to the person and he talked me through the options and expressed his understanding of my situation as a desperate student in need of a functioning computer quickly. The options I ended up taking was to recover the data on my computer and reformatted my hard disk. They made the process very simple and told me a day after I walked in saying that they had recovered everything and that I could go in and retrieve my computer. So they fixed it very quickly. TL;DR: They're really nice people and gave me a discount because I was a student. They were patient in listening to my technical issues and were calm in replying, which helps a lot when you're on the brink of panicking. They're efficient. Very honest and with the highest integrity! My I-pad died and I took it to them for a fix. They ordered the parts, then discovered that the i-pad was fine. They could have charged me and "fix" the i-pad, but they told me that the i-pad was fine and offered to help without charging anything. They are the best people in business and simply amazing. I'm still in shock at how inexpensive and amazing the service was here! I've had a smashed front screen for my iPhone 4s for over 2 months, searching for someone who I could trust to replace it at a reasonable price. All of my friends always tell me they know someone who can do it, but it's always too expensive or sketchy (I've heard people can completely mess up your phone permanently if they do it wrong). Randomly I searched on Craigslist for replacement iPhone screens, and they popped up as the first listing, advertising a special deal for April. Group Micro replaced my front glass with a brand new screen for only $50 - and did it the same day! Picked it up a couple hours after I dropped it off. Not only that, but they gave me a new colorful iPhone charger for free. Along with doing a great job replacing my phone's screen and for cheap, all of the people that worked there were super friendly and nice! I came here because of how close it is to The UCLA campus. I had to fix my grossly busted diphone 6 screen-a big chunk of it was missing-the rest of the screen was just showing rainbow lines. The service was better than I expected, I was told I could come get my phone back in 15 minutes. It ended up taking half an hour to retrieve my phone, but only because of the line of customers in front of me. In all, the total came to $120, ($100 for the cracked screen, $20 for the busted LCD backlighting). I heard them charging he customer behind me $139 for her busted iPhone 6+ screen-I'm guessing the extra $19 was for her larger screen. In the end, I ended up leaving with a fixed phone, a new screen protector (so shiny!) a free case and portable iPhone charger. Not too bad. read more

Absolutely outstanding!! I looked all morning for shops to repair a broken MacBook Pro Retina screen and all of them were either charging me double or the turnaround time was going to be 1-2 weeks. I work for a video production company and I just couldn't have both of those happening. But Group Micro was able to give me a reasonable quote and best of all they told me they could do it in 1 Hour! (Because they already had the parts). Then when I got there it only ended up taking them less than 20 mins to have a fully functional screen working! My jaw dropped. These guys are really great. I am a student at UCLA - My macbook pro wouldn't start up, so I went to the UCLA tech department in Ackerman, who told me I would need to pay a hefty fee for a diagnostic that would take 5 days, and then pay for repairs on top of that. In contrast, Group micro figured out what was wrong with my computer within 5 minutes of me walking in, explained to me that there was a faulty part within the computer itself, and fixed it within a half hour!!! I had to pay a rush fee because I needed my computer for a midterm the next day, but it was well worth it. They even gave me a discount for a laptop case, a 3 month warranty, AND a free phone case! Such nice guys. My advice for UCLA students: don't go to Ackerman. Got my iPad 3 fixed here since I smashed the screen into a million pieces. Brought it in at about 3 and they said it could be ready by 6:30 but I didn't want to stay so I picked it up the next day. iPad looks good but since there was no battery I need to charge to see if everything works. Pros: fast, convenient, great service Cons: N/A This place is amazing! My MacBook Pro had the screen of death and I was freaking out because I had a project due the next day. My hard drive cable was broken and I had no way to access anything on my computer. I came in with no previous appointment and they had me in and out within 20 min!! Their prices and repair time were better than any other repair shop. The Apple Store was supposed to take up to a week to get this fixed and I'm so happy to have my laptop back. They do an initial assessment of the problem for free, which other places charge for. The service was fantastic and they're super friendly. The people who run this shop really care about providing great, quality service and you can tell that they're not like other shops. Unfortunately my iPhone 4S screen went south. It did not shatter like the time I dropped it a year and a half ago. This time the screen became all pixalated with vertical stripes rendering the phone practically useless. A year and a half ago I had a very good experience with the iPod Repair Clinic. I even wrote a stellar review for them after having my phone repaired quickly and for a reasonable price. I would have liked to use the iPod Repair Clinic again, but they are a bit geographically undesirable for me. If you live anywhere near the Rancho Park area, Joe is a great, honest business man. Not having the time to go to Rancho Park, I checked Yelp to find someone to fix my broken phone who is nearby. Group Micro has over one hundred with an average of a five star rating. I ventured to Westwood, a short five minute drive, and parked in the lot right next to their store. The lot is free for the first two hours. Upon walking into Group Micro I was greeted by Sevada and his associate. They inspected my phone, quoted a price and estimated 45 minutes to repair it. I took a 35 minute walk around Westwood, and when I returned it was fixed...ten minutes quicker than estimated. I was given a free USB cable and cleaning cloth and they offered a free screen protector too. The store is very nice, Sevada and his business partner are very friendly and I now have a repair store I can trust within 5 minutes of where I live. I just hope I don't break my phone again and have to use them!!! read more

These guys were fantastic. I have an older phone an Android Glaxy S5. I had very important videos stored on my phone. I went all around the city and nobody could help until i found Group Micro. Once i got to them they called their suppliers and they were able to find the last body of its kind. Replaced the whole phone and body and it looks brand new. Very friendly staff. I went to them with a laptop that I thought could never be saved - it had be completely drenched the night before - and they managed to save all my data and get me back into a working computer the same day.
