I'm still in shock at how inexpensive and amazing the service was here! I've had a smashed front screen for my iPhone 4s for over 2 months, searching for someone who I could trust to replace it at a reasonable price. All of my friends always tell me they know someone who can do it, but it's always too expensive or sketchy (I've heard people can completely mess up your phone permanently if they do it wrong). Randomly I searched on Craigslist for replacement iPhone screens, and they popped up as the first listing, advertising a special deal for April. Amazing service and pretty fast as well! I came in today to get my iPhone 6S Plus battery replaced due to it being super old and causing problems on the phone. Apple's replacement battery service takes too long and the waitlist is up to two months at the moment so this seemed like the best choice. These guys are really great. I am a student at UCLA - My macbook pro wouldn't start up, so I went to the UCLA tech department in Ackerman, who told me I would need to pay a hefty fee for a diagnostic that would take 5 days, and then pay for repairs on top of that. In contrast, Group micro figured out what was wrong with my computer within 5 minutes of me walking in, explained to me that there was a faulty part within the computer itself, and fixed it within a half hour!!! This time the screen became all pixalated with vertical stripes rendering the phone practically useless. A year and a half ago I had a very good experience with the iPod Repair Clinic. I ventured to Westwood, a short five minute drive, and parked in the lot right next to their store. The lot is free for the first two hours. Upon walking into Group Micro I was greeted by Sevada and his associate. They inspected my phone, quoted a price and estimated 45 minutes to repair it. I took a 35 minute walk around Westwood, and when I returned it was fixed...ten minutes quicker than estimated. Lucky for yelp. Its hard to trust computer recovery or repair services as you feel they will always try to rip you off. I went to them cause I had spilled coffee on my Macbook Pro computer on the plane. It started glitching (I had tried the rice trick and it doesn't work) and looked on yelp for a fast good place to replace my keyboard. I took it in on a Sat and they replaced my keyboard that day. Two days later it faulted again and I called them saying they had done something wrong. They took a look and said it was completely different and had to do with my hard drive. My hard drive had been giving me problems before so this didn't seem out of the question. Since I had just taken it in, they gave me a discount and again repaired that day even though I was in a time crunch to get my computer back as it was now a weekday and needed it for work. Wow! This place was a lifesaver. I called over dozens of businesses and even went to the Genius Bar at Apple twice, and no one could figure out how to recover the data on my phone. Basically, it stopped working one day, wouldn't turn on/boot up and went into recovery mode. Great service and super efficient! My boyfriend cracked the screen on his iPhone 7 and needed it repaired ASAP. Apple takes a while since you have to make an appointment, so we looked on yelp and this place looked promising. We dropped the phone off, and it was replaced in under an hour for under a $100. At first, he chose the generic screen because it was $20 cheaper, but after it got serviced, he noticed that the screen wasn't up to par, so we asked if he could get it switched to the higher quality one and didn't expect him to say yes because it's definitely our fault. BUT! He did say yes! That is seriously what makes this place stand out and deserve all the good reviews it gets. The customer service is unparalleled and it's what makes all the difference when you're looking to get you're phone fixed. You will never find this level of customer service in those mall kiosks that do screen repairs even though the price is the same. My boyfriend also got a charger for his MacBook and I got a screen cover for my iPhone X. The MacBook charger is authentic (so it won't mess up the MacBook by using a cheap made in China one), and buying it used was very cheap compared to the prices for authentic chargers you can find online. I'm also very satisfied with my screen cover, which the worker applied for me, because the cutout for the notch is not as big. My old screen protector left a lot more gaps than this one does, so it didn't covers as much surface area. Besides the great and quick service, they carry so many Apple accessories at a comparable price that in the future, I'll skip amazon and come here so that I don't have to wait for 2 day shipping. My MacBook Pro hard drive crashed and unfortunately I did not have a back up of my data. I took it to the Apple Store and they told me they can replace my hard drive but I would need to go somewhere else to recover my data. I'm not sure how this place got all the positive reviews. They were unresponsive. Dropped my laptop off. They said they would call in two hours. No one called. I called them and they said they would call back by the end of the day. Didn't hear back. It took two days to get a quote from them. I then asked for a quote to sell them the laptop. It took 4 days to get a quote. I had to call every day to finally get an answer. They then told me everything was wrong woth my laptop and could only five me 75 dollars for it. Originally the only thing wrong with it was the motherboard. Then when it's time for them to buy it back everything is wrong with it. I would find some place else to take in your laptop. read more
