Do not trust this company. This is a long-time coming, extremely long review, but I think there is a lot of important information that anyone researching moving companies need to know. Also, If I was researching, I would be a little hesitant of 466 five-star reviews. Not even one four-star review (or not many that I saw). I know many people are moving (also out of state) so finding the right mover is crucial to take care of your things. I will post re-post my initial review after I update you all with the information since my review. I posted my review and was VERY unhappy about my experience (I will note when that review starts). At that time, I was a business owner. After my review, I started seeing numerous harmful reviews on all of my business pages. I gave all these reviews to my boyfriend who then turned it over to his attorney. Upon researching, it was all from the same IP address. His lawyer contacted the owner, Tim, and told him that if he did not get these reviews taken down immediately, he would be filing a libel lawsuit. Tim's response was that I had to take down my review. My business was too important to me so I removed the review. Now I'm ready to repost the review since I sold my business. I will also be posting some of the reviews that were posted about me. You will notice that many come from the same name or similar names. Also, locations outside of the state of California. I am only licensed in CA. I also received emails from others who had similar threats, so they were forced to take down their review as well. ****INITIAL REVIEW: I had hired OC Mini Movers a handful of times. The first couple times they were awesome, but the last move was horrible. The owner sent two of his movers, who were friendly and polite. I hired them to move most of my apartment into a storage POD for a month while I was looking for an apartment. I had almost everything boxed up and ready to go. I spoke with the owner who advised me to buy rope to secure everything down (he did not tell me what kind of rope to buy). I showed one of the guys were the rope was. I noticed they had placed three things in my convertible and not their van: a dirty vacuum, a small wine rack, and a heavy box. The dirty vacuum was in my passenger seat on top of a box. My point was it was a dirty vacuum in my car that had leather interior. I walked the vacuum to them and left the heavy box and wine rack by the POD. At this point I am upset and on the phone with the owner, who doesn't really listen to my frustration and keeps telling me I have to let his guys do their job. I assumed they thought they were finished with "their job" as they were in their van and told me they were finished. I checked the pod with my things and they hadn't even used the rope I provided them! They then went back to finish this up and they shut the pod. One month later when the pod is dropped off at my new home, I open it up and all the ropes were very loose, which made me believe that they did not secure it appropriately. I have moved before and have never seen a van this loosely secured. When the movers moved the front things out of the pod, I saw many crused boxes. The mattress was laying across the top of the pod (other movers would stand it up and I confirmed this with the movers who unloaded the pod), and a green Sterilite box that I bought for sentimental family things was tipped over. On the floor of the pod (from the container) were a broken in half Christmas plate from my 8-month-old niece with her footprints and a broken candlestick that I inherited from my grandmother when she passed away- shattered. This part upset me the most as they had sentimental value that cannot be replaced. The Sterilite container was tipped over and the lid was trashed. I understand that when belongings are in storage vans, etc, that things do shift - this is why I was told to get rope. He did not tell me what kind to buy. He told me I bought the wrong rope after I called him to tell him my frustration. His movers should have advised me of the wrong rope when I showed them. I would have then gone to buy correct rope. I paid these guys $95 an hour to be the professionals - I am not the professional and this is why I depend on them to advise me. I sent a text to the owner with the pictures expressing my frustration and he was not apologetic at all about any of this. He placed blame on me because of how I packed the boxes (everything was in boxes taped up and Sterilite containers snapped shut) and he also blamed the POD company because they could have been driving rough. This is why, I thought, the ropes would have secured everything in its position. This whole last time I talked to the owner Tim about this, and the whole time he did not accept responsibility for the action of his movers. Best movers ever. Seriously I've moved a bunch and these guys are by far the best crew I've ever worked with. They were quick, moved fast and wrapped everything! Even things I didn't think about like chairs and tables. Then when we got to our new place, it wasn't ready and they offered to store our stuff for a great price. Then while our stuff was in storage I needed to retrieve documents out of one of the boxes and the owner met me and helped me unload our stuff so I could find what I needed, then he repacked it away when I was done. When we were finally ready with our new spot, they showed up and were still super fast, got everything in safely and efficiently. Super nice, professional, helpful workers and owners, I seriously can not say enough about how much I like this company, I will be using them for all my moving needs. Update: Just used this team again for the 2nd time and was delighted with how well Luis, Tony & Alfred did. They were quick, professional, quick and wrapped everything! I reached out to this company in September as a result of a referral from another favorite, Dan the Furniture Man. I have this very large antique piece that needed special skills in moving from the Garage to the house. A previous attempt by neighbors resulted in broken legs!! Anyway, after a few months having woodworking repairs done, I connected with OC. MINI MOVERS again in December. They came out on December 23rd and luckily the rain paused while these guys moved my piece in. I've never had to hire movers before so I was extremely nervous during this whole process of moving. OC Mini Movers REALLY made it easy for me. 1. Its so annoying to schedule things during work so I hate making personal phone calls during work. LUCKILY, I arranged my ENTIRE move with Tim via Yelp messages and then into text message. 2. I was a little nervous (its just my nature) when I didn't need to give my credit card number ir anything ahead of time to schedule my move. I booked my move 7 days in advance and bumped it up a day early 2 days later. I got a text 24 hours before arrival to confirm my scheduling. 3. Tom the driver called half an hour before arriving which was just 15 min after the start of their 1 hour arrival window. He was already familiar with my complex shop he knew right where to go. 4. Tom and Gary were a great team and super fun to have around during this stressful time of moving. A 1 bedroom apartment on the 4th floor of my complex took about 1 1/2 hours to load up. Traveled to my new place just in time to beat the horrific 5 traffic. Unloaded as quick as champs!!! Whole move door to door n unload was 2 1/2 hours. No damages at all and they even moved my huge odd sized couch out and into new place easier than the original delivery guys from when I first bought it. I don't even normally write reviews in such detail as I am, but I am hoping to ease someone elses anxiety that might have as much anxiety as I do. I used OC Mini Movers to move from the OC to LA. It was my first time using any moving company and I had a great experience (and I found out about them myself through a friend's recommendation). The move was really easy to schedule. Other than my friend's recommendation, what made me choose the company was the fact that they do not charge double for driving time, unlike many other companies (check before you book though). Instead, they charged me a flat $95 for the move plus $110/hr. With the potential traffic to LA, I definitely did not want to pay double for the driving time. The movers themselves were great- I had Gary and Leandro. They were very quick, efficient, professional, and nice. I managed to move my 1 bedroom apt in 4 hours-- I did pack beforehand and I have taken some smaller items by car before. Overall, I highly recommend this company! read more

Moving is a stressful situation and this past Sunday was our day to move. The original movers that my wife and I booked were a no-show, so in a panic, I called and Tim saved the day. Since this was a Sunday and it was past noon I was afraid we would not find any available movers. Tim was able to get us a crew of movers, Hector & Sam, and they basically came to our rescue. Hector & Sam were really nice guys and packed the truck very well and took care of our stuff. When we were unloading at our new apartment it was already dark and we could not find one of the cushions for our couch. The truck already left our place and we let them know about the cushion. Hector was able to find our cushion, it ended up under a moving blanket in the back of the truck, and he brought it by our place the next day. Great service!! read more

First time requesting a moving company. Two movers were sent and they are really efficient! Looks a bit high for price per hour but no double-distance fee, no limit hours, no fuel charge at all! Another company arrived at our location by mistake and they had for guys that weren't very motivated, had exorbitant prices and non-courteous. Luckily for us they were at the wrong address. I needed a few pieces of large furniture moved from Mission Viejo to Murrieta. I found OC Mini Movers on Yelp and called them for a quote based on all of the positive reviews. I spoke with Tim and he was very nice. All of the other moving companies I contacted charged a minimum of 3 hours, OC Mini Movers did not. Tim's quote was very straight forward and simple - just the hourly rate and the truck fee. Shortly after speaking with Tim, I received a confirmation via text. I also received a confirmation 24 hours prior to the move and a phone call from Luis the day of the move to let me know they were on their way. He was very nice and very professional. We had a great experience with OC mini movers. Alfred, Kris, and Brannon were professional friendly and efficient. They showed up on time disassembled our furniture packed everything in the truck safely including a piano that they weren't aware of. Thanks guys ! These guys were such a big help in moving my stuff a couple of weeks ago! I had a 20 foot UHAUL truck packed with boxes and furniture, and these guys were able to help me get it in my new apartment in 90 minutes! They made my big heavy furniture look easy to move once they got going. The only problem I had was making sure they would be there at the scene when they said they would. I had to call back a couple of times before I could get an update, but sure enough the field guy called to let me know they were running late (busy Saturday) and would be there soon. I didn't hold it against them though as I had only given them a couple of days notice that I needed their help. All in all, I'm glad that Mini Movers was there to help me out. This was our very first time using movers, and it was a great experience. We moved from our two-bedroom apartment, and had great great help from Alfred and Chris. We weren't familiar with the process, but everyone was very helpful and friendly! We clearly underestimated the amount of items we had, but Alfred and Chris were happy to help us get our place moved. They were really fast and efficient, and did a great job of packing and communicating with us. They packed up the fragile items perfectly, and ensured no damage was done. They also helped us move our items from storage (which was a big life saver). The process took about 6 hours total with two guys. We would probably go with three guys next time, as it would speed up the process a bit. But they were still fast with just two! We just didn't realize how much stuff we had. Overall the experience was great. Setting up the appointment was fast and easy, and the communication was great from everyone at OC Minimovers. Tony and Robert are the most amazing movers in the world! We were planning on moving my mom on our own, but a friend was unavailable last minute. We booked Mini Movers the morning of her move and I was beyond nervous about who would show up and the value of their work. The booker said a team would be available around 2ish. Tony called at 10am and said they finished their first job early and were available now. I was being ecstatic. They showed up early and were very professional. They immediately got to work and were nonstop. I was able to send my 12 year old home which made him very happy. 7 hours later (my mom is a bit of a hoarder and was moving from the 3rd floor to another 3rd floor) the job was done. I was referred to OC Mini Movers by ANOTHER MOVER! And they were GREAT! Tony and Zee moved us today. They called ahead, let us know when to expect them. Arrived when they said they would. Worked great as a team to move us out of our apartment and into a bigger home.(with stairs) They did everything we asked and beyond, including moving around items my wife wanted somewhere else, and removing fridge doors to get through the doorways. Professional. 2.5 hours to pack all of my furniture + 9 boxes into a storage container on the street, down a staircase and a steep driveway. 2 men. This seemed like a fair amount of time for the amount of work. They wrapped my furniture in plastic wrap to protect it and filled the POD very expertly.
