They really stepped up and did not run from this laborious task. The guys communicated well and got the job done along with my husband and son's support. I was promised 10 free packing boxes and 6 wardrobe boxes for no extra charge. They did not communicate that with the movers and I had to go and buy my own boxes. Our initial call with Andrew was informative and straightforward, and scheduling was easy. Tim and Eddie arrived within the promised two-hour window and communicated ahead of time when they were on their way, which I appreciated. The quality of work and professionalism were excellent. However, the company charges a 10% surcharge for credit card payments, which is excessive. For business clients, that's a significant added cost and hard to justify. I would strongly encourage them to reconsider this policy. It would also be helpful if they accepted American Express, as that's what our company uses. While they do offer Zelle, Venmo, and Visa/Mastercard, those aren't payment methods our company utilizes. There were some problems in the beginning. My scheduled time was not met. I did have to talk to dispatch managers. The movers were great. They were helpful. Management needs some work. They over booked came 2 1/2 hours late. It was too late to move as the move would have been way past 11. Maybe short staffed. The people who came to me were very nice and efficient. Unfortunately, we were moving from the second floor to another second floor apartment and they were such champs about going up and down so many stairs and they literally worked non stop other than a quick lunch break Everything was wrapped up securely in plastic wrap and so far in unpacking nothing was broken! The only moving company you need to consider for your move! I needed movers on short notice due to needing to move out of my apartment due to an unfortunate event. I was able to schedule a team of 3 for a move within the week. My contact for the quote and contract was Max. He's friendly, punctual, and answered all my questions. He created a custom quote for me and my needs. We have a 70inch TV and I'm a petite woman - I needed someone who can unmount the TV and then mount it back up. They have mounting specialists!!! I was able to use my TV asap after the move. It was mounted under an hour. The team of 3 movers who came to move my furniture was headed by Beka. Beka is professional, punctual, and efficient. They were super careful with all my furniture and boxes. They carefully wrap everything to prevent damage. They take apart furniture and put it back together at the destination which is soso helpful! This team takes directions well and I really felt like they truly cared to handle things with care - they were asking me questions and stayed communicating with me the entire time. They also helped me take items to trash to the first floor of my apartment complex. ALSO - I lived in a loft with really steep stairs and the loft was my office / gaming area. It had 2 heavy standing desks and thousands of dollars worth of gaming and office equipment. They had to bring down all of that carefully over the ledge of the loft since they couldn't use the narrow stairs LOL they did that so carefully and nothing is damaged. I had so much anxiety but they were calm and everything turned out great. VERY impressed by this as well as happy! The value is so worth it. The price for the service, care, and efficiency is incredible. The movers were 15 minutes late but they were professional, wrapped all my furniture up beautifully, didn't scratch any of my walls exiting or entering the properties, and worked fast and efficiently. While there is a 3 hour minimum, it's totally worth it if you have big items like a washer, dryer or large bed & frame. We only used 1Hr 45min but were so happy with the work and didn't mind the 3hr price. Their truck is huge, large enough to carry whatever you have and they are so nice and flexible. I had more items to move than I expected and since they charge by time and their truck is huge, it was absolutely no problem to add it to the job. I really appreciated this!! The only thing to be aware of is trying to get a final price. To avoid surprises, try and get the contract and read it before your move date. My husband hired 4US Moving this week to help move his parents' stuff and they did not disappoint! Here's the breakdown: * Booking - Talking to Olga via Yelp messaging and getting quotes was fast and easy. She was super responsive and followed up via email quickly when doing the deposit. * Price/Charges - Like most moving businesses, the minimum is 3 hours. After that, they charge for every 15 minutes prorated. Time starts when they arrive at the first location and time ends when they leave your second location. * Moving Team - They were on time and called about 40 minutes before the move to give us a heads up that they were coming, and called when they immediately got there. We got a 3-man team led by Max. Though few, they were mighty and efficient. They took a quick walkthrough to get a feel of the space and clarify which items to move, then proceeded to wrap and pack everything. Nothing was broken on the move and because they were so efficient, the total price was right about the amount my husband expected for the move. * One Complaint - Although the team was great, one of Max's movers smoked in the truck before and after the move. My husband could smell the smoke when they arrived and smelled him smoking again as he signed off papers with Max at the end. It wasn't a dealbreaker, but it would have been better if the mover smoked before heading over and waited until the job was done and they've headed off to smoke again. We hired 4US for a local move, including some packing. Unfortunately this was our third move this year, so we have some basis for comparison. We found the 4US crew to be hard-working, but communication was a problem. One thing to note about 4US is that they push hard for you to write a review before they leave, which undoubtedly inflates review ratings. The crew visibly worked very hard. They showed up on time, partially disassembled furniture when necessary, were receptive to feedback, and completed the move in a reasonable amount of time. We thought they did a particularly good job with our plants. Communication was a challenge. Even if we explained something to the foreman, we still found that we had to explain it to the other movers as well. This was exacerbated by a language barrier -- English ability on the team was mixed. One of the team members would frequently roll his eyes at our requests. Although our stuff mostly made it through unscathed, we felt that they relied a little too much on mover's wrap; we would have preferred to see more use of bubble wrap and blankets. Supplies could have been better: They ran out of wardrobe boxes and bubble wrap during the move. Also while moving things up and down stairs, they often hit the wall and banisters. We paid $150/hr for a crew of 3, plus we tipped $9/hour/mover. read more
