I have used OC Mini Movers several times over the past years. They are always on time, confirm with a text before the appointment, are professional and do a great. UPDATE: I spoke to the owner and he refunded me the $80 for the wardrobe boxes. It really was a communication issue. I should have spoken up and been more forward about what I wanted. And they should have been more prepared to bring what they said they would/could bring. Lesson learned. Recommendation improved to 6/10! Give them a chance. Ask for Tim. He'll make it right. Original post: Four hours to pack up a 1 bedroom apartment with three workers. They didn't wear masks the whole time even though I gave them N95 masks from my own supply. They didn't bring the wardrobe boxes until we called and asked. Then they had to stop and pick them up. Tim (the owner) told us they would bring all the packing materials we needed. No boxes or packing materials were brought. When we asked why they said Tim didn't tell them. They didn't unpack the wardrobe boxes. Left at 6 hours and 31 minutes so they could charge me for 7 hours. Tried to charge me for 8 hours until I reminded them about their lunch. Then called three minutes after they left and wanted to pick up the wardrobe boxes. When we said we didn't unpack them and they didn't either, they had us call Tim. He charged me $80 for their lack of productivity. They left some stuff in the apartment like a mirror and a lamp and a suitcase and a box of video tapes. At the new place, they left the mattress between two rooms, boxes in wrong places when they were clearly labeled "Loft" and they left it in the kitchen. The only person who was working diligently was Robert. He helped with the bed assembly and was great. Also their 2x drive time is more than usual rate. That was an extra $30! All these little things back and forth and no apology from Tim or anyone on the team. Absolutely would not recommend. 2/10 read more

Great experience, I used the the company to move a large mechanics tool box ( Matco) and Matco tool cart. The gentlemen that came out were fast and efficient. They arrived at my work on time and loaded up the box and cart while I was on my way to the new shop. I had the other employees watch as they loaded it and they took great care getting it into the truck as well as strapping it down without damaging the items. I had locked my box and cart before they came and as any mechanic knows once your stuff gets to the destination all your drawers are a mess, wrenches everywhere, junk drawer items pouring over into other drawers etc. I can gladly and thankfully say that once my tools arrived and I opened the boxes nothing was out of place. The fact that nothing was out of place tells me they took great care driving up to the destination. I will be recommending this place to fellow mechanics that need to move their tools. read more

I had called Tim on a Friday afternoon, needing help on Sunday. I had already called a couple of places who were not able to accommodate the last minute request, and I pretty much expected the same response from Tim. But that was not the case at all. Not only that, but his pricing was better than the other places that I had called. I figured that I might get the B team on such late notice. But I definitely got the A team instead! Robert and Rigo were extremely polite, careful, and efficient. They assessed the situation, formulated a plan for loading all of the items, and got right to work. As nervous as I had been about the heirloom furniture that was being moved, I relaxed as I watched how they were wrapping and handling all the pieces, and I knew that I was in good hands. Alfred and Benny for the win!! Requested a quote online - it was easy, quick and completely upfront - no hidden fees and so convenient to schedule. I got a text confirmation and then a call about 20 minutes before Alfred and Benny arrived. I am preparing my house for sale and needed to move a bunch of boxes and some larger furniture from upstairs into the garage. I also had some cabinets in my office that were bolted to the wall that I wanted removed and placed on the driveway for the junk crew. Man, did these guys move out - they were super efficient, thorough and careful. They also maximized their time so it was as inexpensive as possible for me. Also, no thanks to the weather man, they had to deal with rain that wasn't supposed to happen until the next day. They did it all with a great attitude. The best part is they were total team players that saved the day. The guy I hired to remove some junk was emptying out my husband's wood rack in the garage when it started to collapse. I have used OC Mini Movers for multiple moves over the past 5 years. They are responsible, respectful and willing to work on a complicated move without any complaining. I recently had a client with a very large wall unit that could not be broken down and they spent 2 hours working getting it up very narrow, curvy stairs (with no damage to the unit). They are on time, wrap the furniture carefully and work quickly but carefully. They are usually able to accommodate moving times - if I give them about a week lead time. Day before yesterday, we bought a new sofa from Costco...an all leather 2-piece sectional. Great price, love Costco. I had planned to use their delivery service so after I checkout out, the Costco folks asked me to call to setup the delivery. Short story, Costco's third-party service was a nightmare. The delivery service sent two young kids totally unprepared and unwilling to get the new sectional into our home. Rather than risk damage, I asked them to put it in my garage. Now what to do? So at 6:00 PM, I went to the internet and looked for a company who could get the sofa inside my home. The pieces were really heavy and bulky. After a few searches I found OC Mini Movers here on Yelp. That turned out to be the smartest call I've made in a long time. Tim picked up the phone, and I explained my situation. To my surprise Tim offered to come and move the sofa into my home that evening! Wow, what dedication. After a long day of moving, most guys would have preferred to just go home and have a cold one. I really appreciated his willingness to help as I was in a jam...the sofa was taking up my garage and I needed a fix! After a little conversation, we both decided that it would be better to wait until morning. Tim said $95 bucks per hour and that he thought it would take an hour to do the move. That sounded like a very fair price. Good to his word, Tim and Albert showed up right on time this morning (9:00 AM Sunday...my choice). They got straight to work. The details of what these guys had to do is too lengthy to post, but let's just say that getting the sofa inside my home was EXTREMELY DIFFICULT. Tim and Albert are in great physical shape and by the time they were done, they were soaked. The best part is that they finished in exactly one hour. All I can say is AMAZING!!! Bottom line...hire these guys. Do it! They are worth every penny, and they are polite, punctual, and friendly. I'm going to use them for all of my moving from now on. read more

I had a great experience with Josh and Junior moving from Los Angeles to Orange County. They were very professional and worked quickly and came prepared with everything we could have needed. They accommodated all my requests and were patient when I needed to handle move-out business with my building management. A few weeks ago I needed a moving company to move several large office furniture (including a photobooth!) between three different locations. After transferring apartments in the same complex I figured I would hire movers to walk my boxes to the other building. After calling many companies, I went with OC Mini Movers due to there being no time minimum. The movers were speedy and friendly. They moved my items within an hour and didn't "man handle" my boxes. I felt comfortable with them handling my boxes and felt bad that I didn't have a beer or even a cup to give them water in. The reason I deducted one star is....: Tim was not specific in the time that they were going to show up. When he said I have the 1-3 time slot and it shouldn't take more than 2 hours, I figured the movers would be there at 1. When they called to let me know they'd be 30-45 minutes late at 1, then I continued to assume 1 was when they were scheduled to start. Come to find out 1-3 means they can show up anytime within the two hours. I also did not like that they tried charging me a $50 gas fee when we did not use the truck at all. However, I would use this moving company again and will recommend them to people moving out of or into my complex. read more
