Yummyyyyy! This place was exactly what I was hoping for and more. We got the strawberry shaved ice with extra condensed milk on the side and it was so good. It reminded me of the Korean strawberry milk I used to drink as a kid :) I'm a huge fan of condensed milk so the two combined was just a match made in heaven. This place was pretty busy on a Saturday night so we had to wait a little but we didn't mind at all! Will definitely be back here :) read more

I recommend the matcha shaved ice. The flavor isn't as strong but it wasn't heavily sweet as well. Takes at least 5 minutes to make on average or longer if there's a line. They have a machine for you to order at the front and parking is limited to street parking or nearby on Fair Oaks and Colorado for $1 the first 90 minutes. read more

I went to the K-Town location is Los Angeles. The shaved ices are done beautifully presentation wise! The store, however was packed and had quite a long wait, but this was expected on a Saturday afternoon. The mango shaved ice was fresh and nice, however it was not too creamy (as for my own taste I'd prefer it creamier!) The mangoes were really ripe and sweet which was a bonus! Service was so-so as they forgot my tab but the store was apologetic about it. They also offer free water which was nice as it was a hot day! I probably would not pay another visit as it doesn't suit my personal taste, but don't let that discourage you from a visit especially if you're looking for a fresher tasting and less creamy shaved ice! read more

So happy they opened one in Pasadena! I love the one in Ktown but this one is way closer to me. Honestly had no idea until I came here that they had both individual and full sizes of bingsoo. I've always gotten the full size to share with a few people, and think it's probably worth to get that if you have 3+ people since the individual sizes are $5.50 and the full size is a little over double that. For the individual shaved ice, they only come in 4 flavors: green tea, injeolmi, strawberry, and mango melon. Sadly they were out of the green tea when I got there so I opted for the strawberry. It was delicious but I could've probably shared with someone. PRO-TIP: Closest free 90 min parking lot is at Park & Walk - Marriott Garage! read more

My partner and I went to this place since it was much closer to us than the korea town location. when we walked in the place it had a very smell, almost like raw sewage. we came to this location on april 4, 2022 at around 9pm. though we pushed through thinking that was just our noses being funny. when looking for a table, a majority of the ones there are very small and dirty. there seemed to be no worker available to wipe it down, thus leaving many of the tables with sticky residue that customers had to find ways to clean themselves. the shaved ice itself was pretty good, the frozen melon at the bottom was a nice touch along side it's appealing looks. though as of writing this review my partner and i seem to both have some type of food poisoning, we deduced it to be this item of food that we ate because of the place not only being unclean but also smelling extremely bad. most likely never going to this location again until updates about this place's sanitation are given. this was especially heart breaking to go through since we were both extremely excited to try this place's bingsoo. Though with the food poisoning we were given, we will not recommend this location to others. read more

Very cute place. I've tried the one in Ktown, and finally went to the one which only less than a mile from my house. Parking in pasadena is very tricky, so either you park in the building or street parking. They have a self order kiosk, so you just need to wait until they call your name. I ordered single shaved ice, the milk flavor one / injeolmi. It's really good, I like the texture, very soft and subtle. read more

I'm not usually a bingsu person, but we were looking for a dessert place in old town that closes late and were happy to stumble upon this place. They close at 10p! We tried the Injeolmi, which tasted like a milk base with a side of red beans and mochi. It's large, good enough to share, and was not overwelmingly sweet or icy. In fact, it was kind of fluffy and smooth to taste. The last time I had bingsu was probably a decade ago, so I don't have much to compare with, but I can attest that during my visit the restaurant was clean, their dessert was nice, and their service was quick! read more

You order through a kiosk and they make your order fresh! My sister and I shared the black sesame shaved ice with a side of mochi and red bean and it was amazing, we finished the whole thing! This place deserves so much credit! I got the mango shaved ice with melon and it tasted so creamy and fruity. I loved it. I got a single serving and was able to share it with someone else and it was the perfect size. They really don't skimp out on the portions here and you'll leave satisfied. This location has very limited parking. You're going to have to park in the public parking structure with 90 min free and walk over or find street parking around the block. Inside is a bit cramped but everyone is coming here for the food not ambiance! Super nice lowkey spot to get dessert. Will probably come back to try other items. read more

Great dessert shop in the area! A little off of the Main Street and has a decent amount of seating inside. Tables clear up pretty fast though so it's not too difficult to grab one even if it's busy. To order, there's a kiosk in the front and then they call your name to pick it up from the counter. Each single size is 6.50$ and the larger sizes are around 15-16$. We got three single sizes for 4 people and it was more than enough. I've also gotten a larger size for 2 people and that was too much for reference. Honestly, the single size is enough to share between 2 people. Injeolmi flavor is my favorite - it's subtle and not too sweet. Tastes a little nutty. It's the Injeolmi powder on top with the flavor, but make sure to not inhale it. Matcha and melon flavors are also good - the melon was a lot sweeter. Each one comes with Mochi! read more

Oakobing serves Korean bingsu (shaved ice). Since we were taking ours to go, we got single serving ones of mango melon, strawberry, and injeolmi. They are all great for different reasons. The mango melon is the prettiest with melon balls over a sweet and tart mango ice. The strawberry has a classic fruity, creamy vibe. The injeolmi is lovely with milk ice, layered in started soybean powder, and chewy mochi. The condensed milk adds sweetness and we loved them all. I was surprised how soft this delicious treat was. I got the mango shaved ice and it comes with a side of condensed milk. All the products have dairy In them except for the side of strawberries and melon balls. We ordered on the app there but the cashiers were there to answer our questions as well. This place does not take cash only card. So happy there was seating inside because it's pretty cold out. read more

I've been to their other location in Ktown and am glad they opened one closer to me! Easy ordering system at the counter. You can customize the bingsoo how you want it (add extra fruits, toppings, or condensed milk). My favorite toppings are the injeolmi and black sesame powders. I recommend getting the smaller size to share. The portion is quite large. I'm not a fan of their condensed milk - it's quite watered down and seems more like evaporated milk. read more

The best milkshake I have ever had. I got the green tea milk shake. For $5.50 and the small size, a little steep but wow, taste and quality really make this worth it. Some other dessert drinks are more and not as good at other places. If you're looking for a nice smooth milkshake, this is it. Not too milky, not too sweet or overbearing. It was really good. Everything was just right. I want to go back to taste the black sesame. When you get in, you order on a computer screen then they make the order and call out your name. Highly efficient. read more

I have passed by the Oakobing in Ktown for years, but never stopped by. I would say Oakobing is on par with Sul and Bean taste wise. How to order: order and pay via the tablet in the store. When your order is ready, they call your name and you pick up at the counter Taste: I got the green tea individual and my friends got the black sesame full size. The green tea one came with a green tea condensed milk to drizzle and the black sesame came with a condensed milk. Both were flavorful and moderately sweet. The full size one came on a plate instead of a bowl which I found interesting. It made it a little hard to eat since it would crumble onto the tray. Location: right next to Home brewed and king taco. The best shaved ice ever in my life! I visited here because I always loved the same store in K-town, which is very famous too. Milk based shaved ice is so soft and sweet with lots of variations you can choose, and the croffle thing(croissant made like waffle) is the killer. Nice clean store on a beautiful store. Came here for late night desserts with friends! Parking was easy, there's a structure right across the street and there's other structures nearby if you want to walk. It's a small store but does offer enough seating for multiple parties. You order on a tablet and they'll call your name when the order is ready. We got three different single serving sizes (strawberry, matcha, and cantaloupe) and they were all delicious! I liked the different drizzling syrup that they paired with each bingsoo. Although we were pretty full from dinner so we couldn't finish it. Unfortunately they did not have a lid for that size togo so they had to give us a smaller lid meant for smoothies, however it did the job and the leftovers made it home safe. read more

I have been wanting to try this in Koreatown but parking isn't too easy there. My boyfriend and I planned to walk around Old Town Pasadena when we found out that there is an Oakobing location there. This is a smaller location compared to their k-town location. There was only 1 person working there at that time that we went on a Saturday afternoon. We got the tiramisu and strawberry (single cup). Both were good. I like how they give you the espresso shot on the side since I am not a fan of it. My boyfriend isn't a coffee drinker either but he did like to dip the shaved ice in this. The shaved ice itself was light. It was refreshing and perfect for a warmer day. I wish they would have more options for the single cups though. I tried the injeolmi & green tea flavors! both had a subtle taste and, without the toppings, didn't taste sweet to me. it's definitely a great dessert if you want something refreshing that isn't too heavy and isn't too sweet. the presentation was absolutely beautiful as well. the music in the store was also a bit loud so not the best for sit down conversations! read more

As I waited on my order, I looked at their beverage menu that was filled with different Boba coffees, teas and slushies. There are also quite a number of items on the menu that I want to try with different styles of preparation. After about 10 minutes my food was ready and I was out the door and on my way home. Both the cashier and barista were really friendly in the short interaction we had together. I always get no ice wherever I go because I don't like my drinks watered down by ice. While many matcha places will just underfill my cup to keep their proportions correct, this place filled it up to the brim. The matcha was so strong and flavorful too! The soft serve was really smooth with a strong flavor as well. My only gripe would be with the to go container for the soft serve. The lid was sliding/lifting off and soft serve kept running down the sides of the cup. I would suggest maybe taping down the cover or putting it in a small plastic bag to help catch all the runoff if you do end up taking it home. I was curious when I was researching for a sweet ice dessert shop in LA and Oakobing came to high on the list. We made a special trip to Oakobing and I believe it was worthy of my trip. Place is cute, menu is pretty big, lots choices. We picked couple of flavors one macha shaved ice and strawberry shaved ice. It came with super sweet and fresh strawberry on topping and they put strawberry sauce on the side. The ice itself is already rich enough, but since I have a sweet teeth, it's even better with it. The flavored ice was melting in my mouth, the weather was so cold but still can't stop me from eating it. Portion was big and price is so cheap compare to any other dessert place In LA.
