This is one of the dessert spots I keep coming back to. Compared to other places in Pasadena, it's a solid option for both price and quality. My girlfriend and I usually go for the injeolmi and then pick another flavor depending on the day. I was a bit disappointed to see that they no longer carry black sesame. I've seen people complain about the wait time, but the shop is usually run by just one or two people, so a line is kind of expected. If there's a long wait, it might be better to try somewhere else nearby.
Love how soft the bingsoo here is! We ordered a single serving of mango shaved snow and it was enough for the four of us to share. It wasn't too sweet or too heavy so it was a nice treat after dinner. The store is a bit small and it can be hard to find seating, but we came on a Saturday night which may explain the crowd.
I came here with my sister in a hot day. Definitely the place to be when we wanted a cold sweet treat. We ordered from the kiosk and waited at the table. It is a small place with some tables. The place had a a clean look to it. They also have free water. My sister got the Oreo tiramisu and I got the strawberry. We liked that they come in individual sizes but even then I think we could've shared. Both were super refreshing although I definitely liked the strawberry more because it was more refreshing.
My sister and I have been planning to try this business for months now! We finally tried it and it was worth the wait! The place is cute and intimate. Not a lot of items on the menu, making decision making a bit easier. We all got the exact same thing. Mango melon shaved ice. The portions are BIG it's definitely shareable, we honestly should have shared but we decided to each get our own. If I had to describe it, I would say the mango shaved ice was so light and fluffy it was like cotton candy but in an ice cream form. It melted on as soon as it hit your tongue! It wasn't heavy either, I didn't finish the whole thing but I definitely could have. Or was delicious and refreshing. When we asked for tops to get it to go, the cashier also gave up ice packs. I definitely recommend. And I'll definitely be back!

Light and sweet, though I wished they had more toppings on it. It was sweet enough without the condense milk. UPDATED: It took 1 hour and 20 minutes to get shaved ice. We drove here specifically to try this place as kiddo and hubby wanted shaved ice. We arrived to a packed cafe but we still got in line to order something from a kiosk as the line wasn't bad. While the line was short the line didn't move very fast at all. All the tables were full but no one except one table was eating any shaved ice. While we waited to order an announcement came over the PA not to order extra fruit. Then a few minutes later, they announced that they were cutting off orders then another 10 minutes they shut down orders until 4pm. I'm an hour in and I still do not have any shaved iced. I don't care how popular or viral a place gets. When you have two people in the back and backed up orders that you can't fill, you simply don't know the operations portion of your business. You could pay two, three more kids $15 bucks and rake in more profits. Instead you have a bunch of pissed off people. Below is a picture of the shaved ice of the only people eating in the full cafe when I walked in. I wonder if we will ever get ours?
So we came today from an instagram post and so did almost everyone else here. Needless to say they were not prepared at all!! There was 1 worker all by herself and she tried her best. However we all waited well over an hour for shaved ice. She had to shut down orders because she couldn't keep up on a hot, busy Saturday!! We were told 20 min wait time but over an hour later, we finally got our order. It wasn't even in order since the lady behind us who I helped place the order got hers before all of us. 2 girls order 38&39 was waiting before us how why did 44 get hers before all of us. Who knows. She tried her best but needed help!! Once the owner finally showed up, they opened back up for orders even though they still haven't caught up??!?!! Who knows. As for the actual mango single, it was very refreshing and not too sweet at all! Great treat on a hot day. The food itself is probably a 4. However service and then having to pay extra for more parking since they took soo long was a bit much. We drive all the way from the OC so we had to be patient. Worth a try if you can go when there is no crowds!!
Gotta satisfy my girl's sweet tooth, so I caved and tried it too since it's in old town. First thing I noticed is that it's a smaller spot, so there wasn't too much seating available especially since it's after dinner time. I feel like they give a really good amount. We shared the smaller sized shaved ice and it was a perfect amount. Service was quick on the kiosk and it's bright inside. Thought they could use some decorations though. Melon shaved ice, 8/10: Refreshing and not too sweet. Probably what they were going for. They give a good amount of melon and it was sweet. Pleasantly surprised at how juicy the fruit was too.
I came with a friend to check this location out and I was pleasantly surprised: it's as good as the Koreatown location. The have a promo in which you get one large shaved ice (bingsu) with two drinks for just 26 dollars. It's totally worth it. Both drinks (Injeolmi Latte and Strawberry Milk) were great but the strawberry milk was better in my opinion. The whole place was quite busy and there was a line but we still got dispatched quickly and in a prompt manner.
my mom and I got the strawberry shaved ice, which was honestly big enough for 3 people haha! It was a stacked strawberry ice mound with plenty of semi-frozen strawberries and a little cup of milk drizzle which has a thin consistency to pour on top. You order through a touch screen and sit down, I'd recommend grabbing a seat as soon as you can because tables fill up fast + bring a layer cause you tend to feel colder when eating frozen dessert
Such a great spot that's totally worth the hype! The space itself is very small and was crowded when we went, but everything came out really fast. We tried the strawberry, mango melon, oreo tiramisu, and seasonal strawberry matcha. The single servings were perfect, and I would definitely be able to finish one by myself. I loved all the flavors, but the oreo tiramisu was my favorite. Would definitely come back.

Indoor seatings are available and outdoor seatings are limited as well. This is a tiny store compare their second shop in Wilshire Center. Will be difficult to find space for a large group gathering. We ordered the Oreo Tiramisu and also Single Size Bingsu - Green Tea. Both are delicious and LOVE Korean shave ice and the best part is the Oreo Tiramisu comes with a slice of cheese cake too! Portions are large and can share with a buddy or love one. Will definitely come back again for the deserts and also try their Mango Melon served in a melon bowl! One tip for the restaurant is to have the staff come out behind the counter and clean the tables. Maybe it was a busy day, but tables are unclean and things are left on the floor. read more
First time trying this place and I thought the flavors well well crafted and portions were great. I came with a party of 4. The concept of ordering is a bit different in that there is no option to order verbally with a person. They have a tablet ordering system where you just select what you want and pay directly on the tablet and then wait for your order to be prepared. We ordered 3 of the single serving sizes to share so that we could try different flavors (mango melon, Injeolmi and the Oreo tiramisu). Favorites were the injeolmi and the mango melon as the flavors were unique and complemented each other well. The Oreo tiramisu was just alright -- the sauce that it came with was a bit too strong for our liking and it tasted better without it. I docked a star because there is very little seating space inside and parking is not the most convenient around this area. It's located right next to King Taco which gets very busy so street parking is usually scarce. Definitely will be back to try the matcha and the strawberry flavors! read more
Item: Cantaloupe Shaved Ice | $16 | 4.5/5 stars Review: Mango shaved ice with cantaloupe balls. The shaved ice is super soft and yummy and the cantaloupe tasted fresh. They also give you a lot of shaved ice which is filled to the bottom of the melon. Only complaint is that they dont give you extra condensed milk for all that shaved ice. I love this place and my children are really fond of this place. My son really enjoys the flavors of the shaved ice and we drive almost 30mins to get there and enjoy the fresh fruit and condensed milk on every bite! read more

I've tried the Injeolmi, Strawberry, Matcha and Mango Melon. The ranks are in order: 1. Mango Melon - Super refreshing and just enough flavour without being too overwhelming. 2. Matcha - So much matcha flavour!!! Good choice for matcha lovers but not really anyone else. 3. Injeolmi - The flavours are a bit muted but it's a lighter choice if that's what you want. 4. Strawberry - Enjoyed the strawberry fruits, but the shaved ice felt too artificial after a few bites. Tip: get the mochi. Worth the extra $1. read more

4.8 stars. One of the best desserts I've had. I came here with my friends after eating all you can eat sushi, so even though were were about to explode, we still dropped by. We ordered the Injeolmi, and the sweetness was perfect. It was a nice light dessert to round out our night. The price of it was also pretty good for the portion size you get. 4 people can definitely share an order and it's less than $15. The worker was also super nice and friendly. It was a pretty busy night close to closing time, but he was still friendly and gave us extra spoons and bowls when we asked. The only reason for 4.8 stars and not the full 5 stars is that the establishment was a bit small and there wasn't a lot of space to sit. Overall, I highly recommend checking this place out if you want a nice dessert. read more

Green tea is my all-time favorite flavor. Today my husband tried the Oreo tiramisu which actually came with espresso shots on the side. It didn't taste like tiramisu but more like a wonderful coffee flavor instead. Just saw they have a new flavor; black sugar boba shaved ice!! I'm love with green tea too much to stray though. The single serving size is plenty for a single person. Try to find metered street parking because the parking lot adjacent to the location is now 10 bucks eek! read more

Order on tablet fast and easy. Got the strawberry cheese cake it was enough to share between two people. The taste is really good if you have enough condensed milk if not it doesn't taste like anything. I had to buy three more. Not the cleanest place very sticky ground like going into a cheap movie theater. I would come back again to try other flavors and because I enjoyed the texture. Parking: Metered street parking (usually scarce), paid lot to the left, and some free 90 min lots around the area! Food: It was my first time trying this Oakobing location and it was super affordable and filling. My boyfriend and I got two small sized bingsoos and barely finished them. Didn't even need the condensed milk toppings since the flavor of the ice itself is super refreshing! - Matcha - Mango Melon Ambiance: Pretty small inside the store but surprisingly lots of seating! There are some tables outdoors as well. I heard they don't take cash though so be prepared to use a card or Apple pay. Service is fast! read more
Currently my favorite dessert - the other location is in K-town. If you don't know what shaved snow is, it's softer, creamier, and just plain better than shaved ice... and this is the best shaved snow I know of. The most popular one is the melon which comes in a half honeydew shell. That one is good, but I think the two best ones are the strawberry and the matcha because they are creamier. The oreo one is decent too... at first I thought the slice of cheesecake might be weird, but if you get 1/4 bite of cheesecake + 3/4 bite of shaved snow, it works out pretty good. The croffle is also delicious and I go back and forth between which one I like better. They have both indoor and outdoor seating, and are conveniently located next to King Taco. read more

Amazing! Just pay attention to the sizes because my fiancé order for us and he told the cashier "shaved ice" and this is the size they gave us. This size, one could be split between 2-3 people. It's very HUGE! They do have small sizes, come to find out. The shaved ice was very delicious, we definitely will be coming back! When we went, the store was packed, which is always a good size. We got a seat right away but it is first come first serve. It's a small shop but everything was clean and the decor is bright and airy. read more

In the past, I've had mediocre bingsoo so I had low expectations, but the bingsoo here is so good! The three of us shared the melon bingsoo and not only was the presentation on point so was the taste! The shaved ice isn't just little ice crystals with milk poured over it, but the ice was infused with the milk and it actually tasted like melons. It was also served in half a melon which made for good pics! I was a little disappointed in the lack of topping choices, but otherwise had a good experience. There is also plenty of seating both inside and outside of the establishment. People don't seem to linger too long and there was always available seating around us. For the amount of people that were waiting, the turnaround time to get the bingsoo was also reasonable. read more

Yes! So excited to see my friend bookmark this place. I thought I had to go all the way to Rowland Heights for some Korean shaved ice- but nope! I have one local now and I couldn't be more excited! Melty flavored ice with a free shot of condensed milk?! They're too kind. I love how aesthetically pleasing they make their snow & the easy self-order kiosk is perfect for fast service. When it's close to 100° outside, shaved ice is the perfect remedy. The mango melon shaved ice was awesome! Flavorful and love how you pour the condensed milk on top. The only reason why it was 4 stars was due to the lack of indoor seating capacity. Other than that, it was great experience eating Bingsoo for the first time! read more

Came here to catch up with a old friend from college! It was our first time and we were so excited to try it! It was so good. We weren't sure on how big the regular sized shaved ice was so we got the minis. So glad we did! I could barely finish mine. The shaved ice is so good itself. I really love how light and tasty it is. I cannot tell you how much joy finding this place brought me, especially as someone who grew up loving shaved ice with red beans. The presentation of every dessert here was immaculate, but the best part was that the flavor could back up the 5-star appearance. I love sweet red beans so we had to order the green tea shaved ice, which comes with mochi and red beans. Everything about this flavor combination was amazing, it had a refreshing taste, and the shaved ice had the perfect melt-in-your-mouth texture. The regular size was great to share between 2-3 people. I'm so excited to go back and try the melon shaved ice next time, which we saw a lot of people ordering! Delicious nokcha bingsu. They have a small space and it gets kind of crowded inside if it's busy and there is a line. There is also limited outside seating. The bungsu was light and fluffy, red beans had a good flavor and mochi were perfect as well. The single is big enough to share, especially if you've already had a meal. read more
If you are looking for good Korean shaved ice that is close to Sul and Bean but snow ice, this place is it! I came here with friends and the single serving shaved ice is good for 2 people to share. If you ordered the regular size, it would be great to share it with 4 people. Customer service is great, but the place is small. So, good luck finding a table if the place is busy or crowded. Also if you are looking for parking, you should find parking on the street or go to the parking garage that is near by. read more

I love coming here for dessert after having tacos at King Taco! This place has great fruit paired with the shaved ice! The place has plenty of seating, but my toddler has yet to let me enjoy a chill place like this (sigh). I always order through their kiosk, but as they are calling out my order to pick up, they ask if I need anything else. Can't wait to come back soon! read more
Not what I expected for shave ice. I'm more of a Taiwanese or Hawaiian shave ice kind of girl. The shave ice is more like shaved ice cream but the portions are definitely huge. We got the singles but I think it's more a doubles kind of match! It's get four stars for ice cream lovers who like it shaved and portion sizes! We ordered two shaved ice here for the first time. Big portion, tastes and look great! We spent almost $50 on two shaved ice, which is quite expensive IMO. Parking is $15 next to this place, but right across the street only $5. read more
Came here due to a recommendation from a colleague and I loved it. The ice is so finely shaved and I love the options for add ons. I opted for a simple Oreo Shaved Ice and added an extra shot of condensed milk as well as a slice of cheesecake. I wasn't expecting a whole slice of cheesecake it rather, crumbles of it to be included, but I wasn't disappointed. My date who has never had shaved ice also loved it and had we not been so full from our earlier dinner, would've have gotten another to share. Oakobing was so delicious that I went twice within the same day with two different groups of people because having that Mango Melon Bingsoo just once is not enough. We ordered three separate desserts to share between three people - the Mango Melon Bingsoo, the Green Tea Bingsoo, and the Strawberry Cheesecake Bingsoo. Each dessert comes with a condensed milk topping flavored with the respective complementary flavor. The Mango Melon - my personal favorite of the three - is light and refreshing with a slight minty aftertaste. The mango flavor surprisingly complements the honeydew melon flavor very well, and the pieces of honeydew used for the topping are juicy and sweet. The Green Tea had a deliciously rich matcha flavor similar to a matcha-flavored ice cream but lighter. The Strawberry Cheesecake (which came with an actual slice of a tasty cheesecake) is the sweetest of the three, but the strawberry flavor complements the creamy cheesecake very well. The regular sized portions are fairly large and are meant to be shared between a group of people (unless you have a large appetite like we did). The small sizes are catered for individuals who want a lighter dessert after a big meal. At $6 for a small and $14~ for a regular, Oakobing is decently affordable as an after-dinner treat. read more

Old town pasadena has 3 free 90 minute parking lots ($2/hour after and there is a set amount past a certain time at night) on Green Street, De Lacey Avenue, and Raymond Avenue. The Raymond parking lot is closest to oakobing.
