To be completely up-front, the sugar cookie is a little too bland, in my opinion. The flours they have to use in order to be allergen-friendly taste a little funky in the sourdough bread loaf, but I do still think it's worth it if you're nut, dairy, and gluten intolerant. read more

I ordered a gluten- free, vegan cake a week in advance. Today I arrived to pick it up and was informed they made a mistake and made a quarter sheet cake instead of a half sheet cake. People make mistakes, but how you handle mistakes speaks volumes... and this was not handled well. No one called to let me know about the mistake- I was told when I arrived at the store. No discount was offered (they did refund me the difference in cost between the cakes). No appropriate alternative was offered. I was just left stuck with half the amount of cake I needed and they didn't seem to think that was a big deal. The cake also looked terrible. The frosting was all over the place- including on my shirt from carrying it to the car- and the writing was amateur. This combination of lackluster product and customer service is truly. disappointing. read more

I get my nails done twice a month across the street and have probably walked by this place a million times. Today they had an A frame sign in the sidewalk that I almost tripped on that said something about the smell of a bakery being the equivalent of happiness. Because I can't eat gluten I really love to smell it, so in total agreement I looked over in the shop window and noticed that they're gluten free. I was so completely overwhelmed with the options. There had to have been 20+ and that NEVER happens for me. Generally there's like two options in the GF world. I panicked and just picked out two things closest to the register- a red velvet donut and a lemon bar. Absolutely AMAZING. Generally the lack of gluten means a lack of moisture- things are generally pretty crumbly and dry. Not at all the case here. It was also reasonably priced and for two items I think I paid $9. My only frustration is that I only grabbed two items. Guess I'll be back! read more

I was here in 2015 visiting for a wedding, and happened upon this place after a Yelp search for gluten free. I had quiche and a brownie, they were sooo good! Fast forward to 2019, I'm not sure how or why Nuflours popped up in my mind, but I did a search online and realized they do national shipping! I ordered the cinnamon rolls because I miss the gluten ones oh so much. They were amazing. I ordered 8 more this past week and just as delicious as they were before. This place has everything you'd want when it comes to a bakery, except it's gluten free, often dairy free or vegan, and has most other allergens clearly labeled and thoughtfully distributed. Super lovely when you're craving something that would be off limits at most shops! The desserts are great: I really enjoyed a grasshoppper brownie and pumpkin muffin, and both held up well for another day after I got them. read more

This spot is amazing and wish it was in my neighborhood! Our youngest is gluten free but hadn't found this on my search until a friend was visiting town and she was looking for GF spots for her diet. I had a soup and bread the first day and both were delicious. The second day enroute the airport we stopped and the caramel brownie was to die for as well as the lemon bar. The brownies and on time delivery score a TEN! absolutely delicious! The customer service post delivery gets a minus 5. I placed order through DoorDash the night before. Order was delivered exactly on time on a Saturday! However, I ordered 4 and got 3. I still paid for 4, so if one brownie option was not available why not give me something else? I selected the box that said I was okay with this option. I called on Monday and whoever answered the phone kept tell me I needed to go through DoorDash and if it was an error, they would refund me the cost of the missing item. I asked if my friend, who lives nearby (whose house we were at), could walk in and pick it up, he said I had to go through DoorDash first. So in the light of maintaining a good customer service attitude of giving up a brownie for a mistake made, he wanted nothing to do with fixing this. If you are a business and are struggling with the DoorDash system, stop doing business with them. I get it, the business doesn't get the order until hours before the pick up (according to the guy who answered the phone) so they had no idea that all my brownies in my order would available since I picked that last delivery of the day. Give me the brownie that I was shorted and I will write an amazing post AND return to your establishment. I am not gluten free or vegan but my brother is and I always try new stuff for him!!!!! This was absolutely delicious!! The cakelette omg the cake itself is so moist and just delicious I wasn't a huge fan of the texture of the icing but if I could eat that cake every single day I would!! Also had a cookie with a peppermint filling!! I loved it. I had a chocolate brownie OMG it was just all so good. I wish we had one up north because I'd go weekly. I want the cake again. Next time I'm in seattle we will be going! I dont eat a lot of gluten free and vegan goodies. However if I had to guage this against the other places I have gone I'd put it at the top of my list. I love this place. Their desserts are so good. I'm not GF and I'm not Vegan, but they have so many options that are absolutely delicious it's worth the hike up the hill. I ordered a number of their items for a party that I threw (late 2019) as I have a number of friends with either gluten or dairy allergies and had fabulous cupcakes for everyone else... Well, everyone was eyeing these desserts, GF or not. They were a smashing success and I was very pleased to know what a treat I've found. Since then I've been back multiple times to pick up treats for friends that are either GF or vegan and always end up getting something for myself too. Many of them live further away so when I make plans to visit them, I always pick up a box of assorted goodies to brighten their day and my friends are always extra excited to see me when I'm carrying a box from Nuflours. Went back after having lunch at Aviv three blocks down for dessert. The brownie is a must! Also had a lemon bar to munch on for the flight home. I still have the same opinion about the crust for the lemon bar as I do for the raspberry bar I had last time. It's a tad grainy, but I understand what they're working with. I had a gift certificate from several years ago that I had been meaning to use. I never go to that area of town. Today I made the trip, however they did not honor the valid gift certificate. There are few things that brings delight and excitement in my world. One of those things is seeing the pure joy in my wife when we found Nuflours (picture below)! After spending the morning near Seattle University (coffee shop hopping), we ended up at Mighty-O's to eat some donuts and people watch (don't judge -there was a scavenger hunt happening that weekend). After finding out they had no gluten free options, we searched the interwebs for a local (walkable) shop with gluten free options. After finding Nuflours, the rest is history! This bakery is simply amazing! The staff was super cheerful, and very knowledgeable and helpful. The items from their bakery were perfect. Their chocolates taste of chocolate rather than only of sugar. Although I don't have Celiacs or a gluten allergy, the pastries are REALLY good! It is this place, among the small treasures in the Capitol Hill neighborhood that will keep us coming back for more! I highly recommend to any and everyone who wants to try something new! read more

I'd die for their tiramisu. Like. Die for it. You can't tell that it's gluten free and the portion size for $5 is HUGE. I've tried a lot of their other baked goodies but I really don't care abt anything else other than their tiramisu LOL Their desserts are delicious, I'd say their Twix-alike bar (I can't remember the name) and their lemon bars are my other go-to's but my main squeeze is always going to be their tiramisu. I visited here for the first time this past weekend and it was amazing. I only recently went gluten free and have had a hard time finding gluten free options in Seattle. Everything here is gluten free. They have pastries, cakes, cookies, muffins, etc. I got a spinach and feta empanada, a jalapeno cheddar quiche and a raspberry streusel bar. Look no further...this is the place! When the craving comes for great tasting breads, delectable treats, and a happy tummy Nuflours is where you need to go. Being gluten-free (due to doctor's orders), my wife and I have searched high and low for breads and desserts that won't upset our stomach. We are so glad we came across Nuflours. We first found them with a stand at the Ballard Farmer's Market and then made our way to their store. What a delight! Some of the many things we've had include their loaves of bread (Vegan flax and Sesame), the baguette, lemon bar, sea salt caramel brownie, and scones. I'm sure I'm leaving somethings out simply because I can't remember all that we've had; but trust me, it's all GREAT! Plus it's GF so we don't get sick and it actually tastes good. They do a great job at making GF taste good! Kudos to them! The employees having also always been friendly and kind each time we've been there. I've asked for recommendations and they've been forthcoming with some of their favorites and have been patient with us as we try to make up our minds to what we want. That type of customer service is much appreciated. We don't live anywhere close to their shop, but we make the 30-40 minute drive through the lovely Seattle traffic just to get their goods! Since it was lunch time I got a slice of quiche, which was delicious with a flaky crust. For fun I got a lemon bar (scrumptious), an eclair (incredible) & a chocolate donut with white frosting & sprinkles (light & delicious). Maybe I'm not a gluten free person but I don't know what the hype of this place is. I stopped by this place to check it after lunch to see what is good since I love bread and pastries. And, it being gluten free, I wanted to see what is special. The place itself is pretty small, with some pastries, bread, and breakfast quiches displayed. For some reason, it wasn't appealing, like it wasn't yelling out "eat me". I decided to try the soup since it was cold out side and it came with a piece of toast. The soup was a brussel fazole, which reminded me of like a lighter version of chili. It was good and hot and perfect for a cold day. I didn't care for the toast much, it wasn't "toasted". It was literally breaking apart when I picked it up and it added nothing to the soup. Overall, it was an ok place. I think this is the first cafe where I could eat anything from the entire menu; my friend and I were stoked to not be limited to just a couple wheat-free items! The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. I had the vegan sweet potato hand pie - the crust was perfectly flaky and I enjoyed the floors profile. When I asked a staff member what her favorite sweet menu item was, she instantly answered "The cinnamon rolls!" And now I know why! She heated it for me so the cinnamon roll was soft & gooey; I'm a fan. I also got the millionaire bar, which is a shortbread with caramel & chocolate. It was rich and luxurious, complemented by a not-so-sweet chai latte. At the end of our visit, I asked the staff for bus advice and they were helpful and didn't treat me like an imposition.
