I was getting my car detailed and decided to come here to pass the time. Not sure why there are so many 1 star reviews here as the twice baked croissant is pretty good and iced latte is decent and refreshing with a good coffee taste. This is a great place to do some work and chairs are pretty comfortable with some trendy music. The cashier is nice and service is fast. If I get my car detailed and have to wait again, I'll definitely come back.

Cinnamon roll was delicious. Business is clean and baby friendly. I stayed here a lot longer because they had a baby changing station inside the bathroom. I was getting my car fixed and the shop told me 4-5 hours. Had no idea what I was going to do with a 3 month old. I kept ordering food and drinks. Haha. Definitely would come back!

This place was really cute! I came here after going on a long walk through the arboretum. I was pretty hungry for lunch so i went with the turkey baguette sandwich. I also had a matcha latte. The bread was very good and I enjoy the sandwich , which had a nice amount of thinly sliced turkey and some savory spread. Unfortunately the matcha latte was a bit weak and seemed watery. Not as creamy as I would have liked. I also like that they have mini croissants so you can just get a small one instead of a big regular croissant. Since it's a French place, I had to try one! I would recommend their pastries as the croissant was perfectly flaky and buttery! The service was good! They brought my food and drink out to me.

Bad quiche Lorraine. Too salty and the bacon is undetectable!

Prices are sky high for miniature pastries and $25 for a small salad is ridiculous. These folks need to understand supply and demand. Lowering prices a bit can increase volume and therefore increase revenue.

The pastries were pretty good. I liked the cheesey one I got and the strawberries and cream cookie too. The macaroon was also nice. The matcha however was probably the most poorly made I've had, which was a huge bummer. The powder was just kinda dumped in and barely stirred. The ambiance was fine and I sat on the patio for a moment to eat one of my pastries. The service was kinda mixed. The first person who was helping me while I was deciding punched out and left without communicating that they didn't take my order. The other person didn't realize, but eventually asked if I was waiting on something. He took my order when I communicated the misunderstanding, and apologized with a free macaron, which I appreciated. I might come back for bakery but not a drink.

Cinnamon crème brioche and raspberry almond croissant

Belle Epicurean is simultaneously one of the worst and most expensive bakeries I've ever been to. I tried the Cinnamon Crème Brioche Bun and the Raspberry Almond Croissant. The Brioche Bun was terrible. It's a bun with a little bit of a sugary cinnamon topping. The bread was dry and stale. It tasted like it was day-old. The cinnamon topping had a slight gross taste to it, hard to describe just mildly unpleasant. The croissant was similarly quite dry and not very tasty. It was a shocking $9 for this small pastry. They were both bad enough that I didn't bother finishing either. The shop is a standard looking cafe with a little attached shop that sells specialty cooking goods. Based on how normal it looked I was really surprised by how bad the pastries were.

Definitely drop by Belle Epicurean Bakery for the absolute cutest French bakery! The ambiance is very cute and the perfect place for a coffee date! It gets pretty busy and it's a little small so definitely get there a bit earlier on the weekend. I got there around 10AM on a Saturday and had to wait in line for a little but was still able to grab a seat. There's also parking in the back of the store so that's very convenient or there's street parking all around. They do both to-go and for-here orders. I was catching up with a friend so we ordered for-here. Since it was a Saturday, I thought I'd treat myself to a latte. I ordered a hot latte with toffee syrup. To be honest, I couldn't taste the flavor but maybe it was just light. I do love strong coffee/espresso so it still tasted super good and perfectly warm. They also have an assortment of fresh bakery items. I got a lemon almond croissant which they kindly warmed up for me. It was super tasty, I'd highly recommend! The highlight of this place is the service and hospitality. The lady helping us with our food order was so sweet and engaging and just a delight to talk with! She let us know we could order our drinks at the register and she'll bring us out everything. She even recommended we grab a table while we were waiting in line since it was starting to get busy. Overall it was an absolute wonderful experience of atmosphere, food, and service! Highly recommend!

Such a cute cafe and bakery next to the arboretum! The owner is so cute and welcoming. She has a warm presence ! They have delicious baked goods and pastries - sweet & savory. And also French sandwiches. Coffee, teas, & drinks are available. One thing I suggest is putting a drink menu up because I was unsure of what kind of drinks I was able to order. I was told they can pretty much make anything.

It's more like a little dessert stand located on the restaurant's patio area, with only a few outdoor tables available. The soft serve was okay, but not as creamy as I was hoping for, and it melted pretty quickly. If you decide to add a syrup flavor, I'd recommend asking for only a small amount. Mine came absolutely drowning in syrup, and honestly, the flavor tasted pretty artificial and overpowering.

First, the negatives that didn't affect my rating: parking is a pain, but that's expected for this neighborhood in Seattle. Seating is also very cramped and tight during the dinner rush. Annoying, yes, but understandable. What did affect the rating was the food itself. The Oreo brownie bingsu looked beautiful, but honestly it just was not very good. I've had much better bingsu elsewhere, even at chains like Snowy Village. It felt more Instagram-worthy than actually enjoyable. The mango cheesecake crepe was even worse. My friend and I literally scraped all the filling off and just ate the crepe itself because the toppings tasted so artificial. The mangoes tasted frozen, the syrup was overly sweet and processed tasting, and the whole thing lacked freshness. For the price, it was genuinely disappointing. The final bill ended up being over $40, which would have been easier to justify if the desserts were memorable, but they really weren't. One last thing: I don't mind tipping when there's actual service involved, but this is essentially counter service where customers are also expected to clear their own trays afterward. Having the tipping screen pop up at checkout after that experience just felt excessive and awkward.
