Adorable coffee/pastry shop located inside a bike shop. Especially liked the numerous savory pastry items available. Staff was friendly and took time to describe the pastry selections.

Brioche Parisian Cross Section

What a delight seeing Petit Pierre, my favorite bakery for pastries in Seattle, open up a location on Capitol Hill! This particular offshoot, inside Métier Cycling, serves a smaller selection of pastries as compared to the Phinney Ridge and Magnolia locations, but they're just as high quality. There's plenty of seating inside the cafe as well! The owner, Pierre, was there serving pastries to all the customers when we stopped by early afternoon on Saturday. We ended up ordering two items: Berries & Cream Cruffin ($6) - The tantalizing smell of butter and raspberry jam wafted into my nose as I brought the pastry closer for a bite. Then biting in, a stellar crisp from the well baked exterior followed by an outstanding laminated croissant dough chewiness. Sugar encrusted on the exterior sweetens the pastry, then a sweet yet tangy and fruity raspberry jam with a softly milky and sweet cream on top flavor the interior. Great flavor, sweet but not too sweet, combined with stellar texture. That's a great cruffin right there! (5/5) Brioche Parisian ($5) - I can't say I've seen this at either of the other locations. They offer to toast the bread but since we got it to eat at home later in the day, we opted to leave it cold and heat it up when we returned. They serve the brioche with a cute 1oz container of sealed French raspberry preserves and a heaping pat of butter. The brioche looks like a little snowman, with a almost flaky, glossy, dark baked crust. The exterior is lightly crisp while the interior is airy and light, yet rich with a tiny bit of sweetness. It's a good Brioche à Tête for sure! (4/5) I'll definitely be revisiting this Petit Pierre location! It's so much easier to reach since it's accessible from the Capitol Hill light rail station. According to news articles, they're currently only signed up to stay here for the next 6 months. I really hope their initial half year popup becomes permanent!

Their Croissants taste similar to the ones I had on Paris. Great customer service, and love the setting at the Phinney Ridge cafe.

She had wanted to visit for a long time after hearing so many good things about it, so this was the perfect opportunity. The café itself is bright, modern, and absolutely adorable. It has a cozy, inviting atmosphere that makes it a great place to relax over dessert with family or friends. The menu is a dream for matcha and hojicha lovers. They offer an impressive variety of parfaits, floats, frappes, and lattes, with optional additions like mochi and red beans. It took us a while to decide because everything looked tempting. My daughter and I shared the Hojicha Mochi Parfait, while my son ordered the Hojicha Float with mochi. The parfait had a rich, authentic hojicha flavor and was generously layered with chewy mochi, crunchy cereal flakes, and creamy soft serve, giving it a wonderful mix of textures. The float was equally enjoyable, with a bold roasted hojicha flavor that wasn't overly sweet, and the mochi was a fun addition. The quality of the desserts was excellent, and while the prices are on the higher side, they reflect the quality of the ingredients and presentation. If you're a fan of matcha or hojicha, this is definitely a place worth visiting.

It smells so wonderful and warm when you enter and it's really a feast for your eyes. Everything looks so delicious and it's hard to choose. The staff was ver patient with me. My "go to" is the most famous twice baked almond croissant. On this visit ordered the "go to" , blueberry ginger scone, ratatouille sandwich, turkey havarti sandwich, banana bread, and some Americanos to go. This is not a sit down cafe so we thoroughly enjoyed them in the parked car. :) Every bite should be savored. Extraordinary!

The croissant was on the crispier side, especially with the almond crumble on top it was a bit too cripsy for me, but I tend to like soft and flakey pastries so it's probably a matter of taste. There was a TON of almond filling in the middle. I enjoyed the taste and texture but it was too much filling for me personally. I would have liked more croissant in my croissant, so to say haha. The chocolate was slightly dark which worked well with the sweet pastry and filling! Overall I enjoyed the croissant but it was a tad too heavy on the filling and cripsy/crunchy for me.

They sell themselves around being a holiday themed shop which isn't a bad thing, but when it's not the holiday season, the charm feels almost mismatched. All that to say, I love the idea, the space, and the vibes here but have often looked past it because of my perception with the branding. However, I will say their menu is great and the holiday joy is more of a supplement rather than a cover up or gimmick. I would comfortably visit Jollidaze for their drinks and get a working session. Wifi available, washroom (restrooms) available, and outlets available. Ube Phe Latte - rich, creamy, ube foam on top of a strong ca phe! There's also some ube milk, so a three layered drink. Both parts of ube were nutty, sweet, and paired with the ca phe amazingly. Strong Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk always hits but the ube mixture is a cherry on top. Up there with the other ube coffees around. Strawberry Matcha - honestly a simple no frills strawberry matcha. Smoothly whisked matcha, lightly sweetened strawberry puree, and a cup to be mixed in. Maybe more jam than other spots, which can help sweeten the drink and add some texture (chewiness), so might have to say above average.

As soon as I walked in, I noticed the selection of pastries, hot brunch items, and coffee drinks. The coffee tasting menu looked enticing. If I had more time to leisurely work or talk with company here, I would have opted to go this more adventurous route. However, I did end up trying one of their seasonal menu items - the Sakura Blossom Cloud Latte. I customized this drink with oat milk, even though the foam has to stay as dairy. The oat milk added a nutty creaminess that I particularly enjoyed. There were notes of the sweet Sakura syrup with a slight saltiness from the cream foam that gives the drink its perfect balance. It was a refreshing drink for a pick-me-up and they only had it for a limited time! My only thing is that I felt some coffee beans at the bottom that may not have been grinded as finely but other than that, the drink was amazing and I would recommend as a good backdrop for a spring walk!

We tried the latte flight, which comes with four adventurous, creative flavors--including a miso latte! Overall, they were a bit on the sweet side for my taste, but very fun to try. The pour-over, however, was phenomenal: deep, rich, and full of berry notes. For food, we had: * Almond Croissant: Perfectly crispy on the outside. I loved that the filling was distributed all the way to the edges, so you get some in every single bite. * Chicken Avocado Salad: A wonderfully light meal featuring grilled chicken breast and a light dressing.
