This is one of the many coffee shops within the block, and I enjoyed the drinks here! This cafe is located inside a larger hotel lobby, and the interior design is stunning. It's lofty and airy, and gorgeous green tiles of all different sizes and colors decorate the walls. We came on Memorial Day morning, and though there was a line, it went by pretty quickly. There's a mix of booth seating with small standalone tables and chairs, but most of the seats were taken. The barista/cashier was really nice about answering my questions about the pastry case. I ended up ordering a matcha latte with brown sugar syrup (half sweet) and a gruyere pull apart pastry. My friend got a regular latte with brown sugar syrup and the scallion pull apart pastry. I also bought a bag of their Morning Sun coffee beans as a souvenir, and the cashier mentioned how it was one of her favorite blends to drink and gift! That reassured me about blind buying. My matcha latte was pretty good. It had an added earthiness from the brown sugar syrup. Though it wasn't as green as the matcha lattes I'm used to drinking back in SoCal, it wasn't bad! However, I think I would skip the gruyere pull apart pastry next time. I usually don't mind gruyere in savory pastries, but this one was especially greasy. The scallion one my friend got was much tastier and a lot lighter - I'd recommend that one over the gruyere one. If I were to come back to Seattle, I'd love come back and try a sweet pastry and a different espresso drink. read more

Came to grab a coffee near the convention center and was not disappointed! It's located in the lobby of the building and super spacious with plenty of seating. I wish I had more time to sit around and do some work. I ordered the seasonal lavendar piper latte with oat milk. It's great that they don't charge extra for milk alternatives. I took a chance with the seasonal latte even though I don't typically like floral tastes and really enjoyed it! Also grabbed a bag of beans as a gift. Latte isn't cheap, but pretty standard price. Located on the bottom floor of a tower building, Olympia Coffee is a small coffee spot serving up tasting menus and delicious local pastries. This was one of the more unique stops on our Seattle adventure. The space is just a small "booth" inside a regular lobby space. There is plenty of seating throughout the building, which is a plus. My favorite thing about this place is the three different tasting options, of which I ordered the Trifecta. It had a lively espresso shot, cortado, and sidecar of brewed coffee. While the coffee wasn't the best I had in the city, it was still very good and worth the stop. The employees were efficient even though it was busy (there were a lot of them for the tiny space) and very kind. The cashier made a recommendation to order the trifecta "for here" only. Not sure if it's even possible to get it "to-go". They also had a great selection of pastries and treats from a local bakery, which I did not indulge in this time around. Tried three different coffee shops in Seattle, and this was the best one I tried. I had an iced latte with the salted brown sugar cold foam. Such a spacious and modern coffee shop! It's located inside of a huge airy building / hotel, so there's plenty of seating for people to lounge or study in. I really wanted to bring some coffee beans back to California and this place seemed to be high on the recommended list of having the best blends. Walked out of here with the medium roast "Morning Sun" and a hot vanilla latte with low fat milk (slowly building back up my lactose tolerance). Love the subtle homemade vanilla syrup flavor with the mildness of the espresso. Just the right amount of sweetness to coffee ratio in my opinion! You can definitely taste the coffee, but it's not too strong or bitter. My boyfriend got the Jade Cloud and it was also not bitter -- had a hint of a fruity taste with the brewed green tea. Only note is the water was way too hot and almost felt like we could've burnt the leaves haha. Cute spot! Wish we had more places like this in the valley. read more

I love going to see places with stunning designs, so Olympia Coffee was on my list when I saw people post the beautiful interior of the building that it's located in. It would be a really good place to work. There are plenty of tables/chairs to sit at with ample lighting. It's also not too loud. I saw a lot of people with their laptops working. Lighting here is amazing too because of the windows. Coffee here was good. I like that they have house made syrup! I'm not an expert coffee drinker but the drinks were not bitter and had just the right amount of sweetness/flavor from the syrup that is chosen. They didn't really have many drinks that stood out or were unique but I say they do their coffee well (and sometimes that's all you need). Whoever was manning the cashier the day I went was super nice and friendly. He was making conversation with everyone in the line as they were ordering. Even though there was a long line when we got there, it moves pretty quickly and we were able to order and get our drinks in a timely manner. read more

I found out about this coffee shop through my new coworkers who seem to love this spot. I love their house-made sugar syrup with my typical latte order. I've also enjoyed several of their specials. They are located on the first floor of an office building high rise. There is always a line but it moves very fast. There are also plenty of seating, either in the lounge directly across from their counter or elsewhere spreaded across the office building lobby. One thing I also want to point out is that they are a Certified B Corp. This is a great spot to come in do some reading, working, catching up with friends, or just simply grab a coffee & pastry or taco and admire this spot. Check out the tiling here too! All the greens are super detailed classic deco-style this spot has is worth a visit alone. Seating here ranges from short round table 2-seaters to a long row of individual with some really cool modern mushroom work lights on top. I love each seating area. There are plenty of plugs to use on those long tops too. I got a black sesame hazelnut latte and it was so delicious and the perfect way to kickstart my day. I ordered a Sunrise taco as well maybe called The Jack? I had black beans, cheese, potatoes, pico, and all on a homemade corn tortilla. It was so damn good. Service was friendly, quick, and my order was all recommended by the nice person who took my order. They are quick here so stay close to hear for your order/name if you're ordering and running. I'm so glad I ventured out of the building in search of caffeine. My feet brought me to Olympia Coffee, on a corner about 2 blocks away. Inside is spacious, lots of comfy seating and a very easy process to line up and get your order in and all the workers are friendly and happy! They also have lots of pastries and most excitingly they have Gluten-Free pastries! Unfortunately, the GF treats (they had two kinds at the time) both were dry, crumbly, and a little cardboardy but actually perfect to go with a hot latte. And Let Me tell you... that latte I got was Ah-Mayy-Zing! You've heard of pumpkin spice - it's the rave all over the world at this time of year every year! But have you heard of Sweet potato spice latte? I have not until Olympia coffee and it was soooo good. Definitely satisfied my caffeine crush! I had to go back for a second try the next day (and last day in Seattle) and had to try the Black Sesame hazelnut latte. It. Did. Not. Disappoint!! Will definitely be back again next visit.. Olympia Coffee is on the better side of most coffee shops. We went with two iced lattes that both hit the spot but didn't necessarily blow you away. It is inside of a building. More than an enclosed coffee shop, there's the counter where you can order your coffee, and then find seating within the vast area behind. There was a long bench where my baby could crawl around. We came around 5pm. Unfortunately, they didn't have any food options and hardly any non-coffee options. Not sure if they had sold out by that time, or if they normally don't carry much food. The bathroom has a scanner to scan your receipt, but after an hour it didn't work and I had to grab a security guard to open it for me. My new favorite coffee shop in Seattle! The interior is gorgeous, with green hues and a warm vibe. I love the high ceilings and amount of natural light. You can spend a whole day here and not get tired of it. And you can, because there are outlets and bathrooms! There's a lot of seating so it's good for groups. I ventured upstairs and found more seating (it appeared to be a public space as it wasn't locked/blocked off?). The drip coffee, espresso, and cortado were all delicious. The tasting menu options are perfect for those who are indecisive or want to have a taste of everything! The donut I had was decent and not stale, but nothing amazing. I love a coffee shop that has "for here/dine-in" mugs. I don't know if they do refills of their drip coffee, but I'll be sure to ask next time. read more

There are multiple Olympia Coffee shops around Seattle, but this location in particular has a very open high ceiling seating area that doubles up as a nice area to work with power outlets and lamps. I went here in the early afternoon just before a rush of crowds entered, so I didn't wait too long to order and get my coffee. I got the Tasting Menu "One and Fun" which was $6.05 before tax which is a very good value. These days if I want a latte, it's about the same if not more expensive than that, but the "One and Fun" features not only an espresso shot of the coffee beans they use, but also the seasonal cortado that uses the Hawaiian coconut syrup that is used in their seasonal latte - Haupia Latte. So I get a good variety of items to enjoy at a good value. The espresso is less bitter but more sour, and is paired with a cup of sparkling water that is fairly enjoyable. I am not a coffee snob so I can't comment how these beans are in comparison, but it was nice. The Haupia syrup cortado was very good. It gave me a taste of what their seasonal Haupia latte is, and I would happily pay for the latte if I come back in time to try it. It's a little sweet but also fairly tropical in flavor and definitely stands out from the typical regular lattes across various coffee shops. I like to seek what is beyond the typical and this place adequately fulfills my expectations. read more
