Parking was a bit challenging, and there were a few homeless people in the area, but it didn't feel too uncomfortable. Once inside, the place was surprisingly spacious. I ordered a 12 oz hot plain latte, and the barista was very friendly. My drink came out within a couple of minutes, and the cafe wasn't too crowded, which was nice. Orange spice chai (March special): yummm, perfectly frothy with a smooth well-balanced blend of flavors! Very comforting and one of the better chai concoctions that I've had for sure. Banana bread latte (another March special): unfortunately this one was a dud. Tasted scorched with not much banana flavor at all. Service: unsure if it's because of the name of the shop, but ice-cold demeanor especially from cashier staff. "Just order and don't ask questions" kind of vibe. Overall a lopsided experience. Went here at around 8 in the morning and it was pretty busy when we got there but emptied out pretty fast, there didn't seem to be many people staying and was more of a grab and go spot. The place is super cute and grumpy themed, with the sizes corresponding to how grumpy you are: grumpy (small), grumpier (med), grumpiest (large). The Nutella mocha was really good but the matcha latte was subpar, to be fair this is a coffee shop so probs as expected. The chocolate croissant was also just average. Regardless, loved their latte. -1 star because my girlfriend asked for a water cup to go as we were on our way to sight see and one of the workers said "if it's a germ thing, grab a straw" (they had hard plastic cups sitting out for water usage). Tried the churro latte and the snickerdoodle latte. We liked them both! It seemed like a cute little spot to hang out and do work or meet. They had a large table for big groups and some smaller tables and seats along the window. The service was good, but when we arrived there was a note on the window that said "Back in an hour and 15 minutes" and the door was locked but there were still people drinking coffee and chatting inside. I found grumpy bean towards the end of my trip but I wish I would've found it sooner so I could've gone here everyday! They have a variety of really cool drinks! Normally, I have my traditionally filled pastry, but they had a huge mushroom pita that is to die for, I'm still thinking about it. (Which is honestly the reason I even took time to write the review). I had two different coffees because I ended up working there for quite a few hours. First, I a Matcha Latte, with the perfect amount of sweet. Yum! Then I had a Coconut Dulce which was just a bit more of sweetness to act as my dessert. Also great!
